Reprinted from TheBlaze.com.

The Mufti and the Fuhrer

Just as there is a Pope in the Vatican who represents the whole of Catholicism, Muslims, too, revere a singular spiritual leader, and that figure is called a “grand mufti.” In 1941, Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, took a shine to the teachings of the fuhrer and began conspiring with the Nazis to exterminate another contingent of the Jewish population — this one in Baghdad.

In 1941, al-Husseini traveled to Germany to meet with Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, JoachimVon Ribbentrop and other prominent Nazis to enlist their help in bringing the Final Solution to the Arab world. Through no less than 15 drafts, the Mufti told Hitler that the Jews were his arch enemies and urged Germany and Italy to declare Jewish homes illegal in the British mandate of Palestine. He also called on the two fascist nations to grant Arabs “the right to solve the problem of the Jewish elements in Palestine and other Arab countries, in accordance with the interest of the Arabs and, by the same method, that the question is now being settled in the Axis countries.”

After all, reasoned the Mufti, “the Arabs were Germany’s natural friends because they had the same enemies.”

Nazi Muslim Brigades’ Anti-Semitic “Education”

Hitler replied that Germany would “furnish positive and practical aid to the Arabs involved in the same struggle” and that his country’s ”objective [is]… solely the destruction of the Jewish element residing in the Arab sphere.”

“In that hour the Mufti would be the most authoritative spokesman for the Arab world,” he concluded.

While Hitler refused al-Husseini’s plea for an official declaration, he agreed to furnish aid to the Arabs in their opposition of a Jewish State. In the end, despite their shared anti-Semitism, the fuhrer was too much a racist to fully engage the Muslim world, but nonetheless proved to be a powerful ally for the Arabs in some very measurable ways, namely by introducing them to the highly effective tool of propaganda.

Prior to the mufti and fuhrer’s meeting and until 1941, the German embassy in Iraq was headed by famed Nazi diplomat (an oxymoron if ever there was one) Dr. Fritz Grobba, who markedly increased the dissemination of anti-Semitic propaganda material throughout the Middle East by purchasing Arab newspapers. One such newspaper, Al-alam Al-arabi (“The Arab world”), published the first Arabic-language translation of Mein Kampf. The German embassy also supported the formation of “Al-Fatwa,” the Muslim counterpart of Hitlerjugend.

Of course this all rings eerily familiar.

How often have we seen children today in Gaza or West Bank, indeed across the Arab world, chant anti-Semitic slurs in much the same way Hitler Youth did decades earlier? It is a well-established fact that Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda and other Islamic militant groups have been deeply inspired by the Nazis, from whom they acquired their tactics of propaganda. Whether it be doctored photos of a wounded or “killed” Palestinian child, or modeling children’s school textbooks after Mein Kampf, the influence rings loud and clear.

Given the background, should it come as a surprise then that upon returning to the Middle East in 1941, the Grand Mufti helped to orchestrate the beginnings his own Final Solution?

The Farhud

On June 1, 1941, as Jews in Baghdad were preparing festive meals in anticipation for the

holiday of Shavuot, a heavily armed mob of Iraqi Muslims took to the streets in a vicious rampage, targeting the city’s Jewish communities. Thousands of Islamic men equipped with guns, swords, knives, homemade grenades and other crude weapons searched out and slaughtered any Jewish man, woman or child they captured.

An image of a “hamsa,” or “Hand of God,” was painted on Jewish homes to single them out for attack. Ironically, this symbol is meant to be used as a talisman for protection. The families inside had no choice but to band together and steel themselves with whatever weapons they could muster.

My father was there. He recalled the savagery in complete and utter detail for the entire duration of his life. Although he was only a child at the time, the situation demanded he become a man, and he did.

Reliving the events for me on numerous occasions, Abba said that as the oldest son, he felt an onus to stand by his father and protect the family. Thankfully he was himself a hellion and shrewd as they come, devising a plan of ambush that, in the end, helped saved him and his family from extinction.

Somehow numb to the fear that should have, by right, overcome anyone such tender age, my father resolved to fulfill his duty and positioned himself on the roof of his house, poised with metal buckets brimming with scalding hot cooking grease, heavy stones and bricks, knives, metal pipes and any other makeshift weapons he could devise.

As several of the marauders rushed the grounds of my family’s home, my father launched his defensive, dumping the buckets of piping hot grease and hurling the projectiles he’d had on hand with all of the nerve and sinew in him. My grandfather (“Saba”), meanwhile, remained below, armed with a plan and weapons of his own.

How they managed to stave off that violent mob and certain death remains one of the great and many mysteries of my father’s life. To be sure, it would not be the last time the Hand of God would play a role in delivering him to safe harbor.

In the end, British forces came in to disperse the rampaging mob and restore some semblance of order, but it was too little too late. While estimates differ, those gleaned from the Babylonian Heritage Museum reveal that 800 innocent Iraqi Jews were killed — 180 identified and 600 unidentified that were later found buried in a mass grave. In addition, 1,000 Jews were injured, nearly 600 Jewish businesses were looted, and another 1,000 Jewish homes ransacked and destroyed.

The bloody, two-day massacre was called the “Farhud,” Arabic for “violent dispossession” and came to be known as the “forgotten pogrom of the Holocaust.”

It was also the beginning of the end of Iraq’s 2,700-year-old Jewish community.

“From that point on, I was a Zionist,” my father told me. “I saw evil. I saw how primitive and barbaric they were. All they wanted, all they wanted,” he repeated, “was to see us dead.”

“I couldn’t live like that. I just couldn’t.”

Obsessed with the thought of Israel, my father began courting his mother, my “Safta,” to send him to live with an uncle in Jerusalem. Despite the fact that he had already proven he could take care of himself, she refused. Still, Abba would not relent and being the ever-resourceful boy that he was, attempted all modes of appeal until he finally threatened to fling himself from the nearest cliff if she continued to rebuff his pleas.

Yes, my father had a flair for the dramatic, but it worked, and not before long he found himself on a train to the Holy Land.

Though he was just a young boy not much older than my youngest nephew is now, my father was indeed every bit the adult the times required him to be. Determined, he set out to build a new life for himself and his family in Eretz Israel, far from the murderous grip of Islamists bent on annihilating them.

Little did he know at the time, his battle had just begun.

Reprinted from TheBlaze.com.

There are few chapters in history that have ever revealed the face of evil or were wrought in more human suffering and degradation than the Shoah. What many do not realize, however, is that the poisonous barbs of Hitler’s Final Solution were not confined solely to Europe, but stretched far beyond to the East, where my father, and his father were born.

Abba

My father, Joseph Gabbay, was an Israeli hero who served proudly and bravely in the Jewish State’s War of Independence in 1948. From as early as I can remember, he would tell me stories of his journey from a life of wealth and privilege in Iraq, embraced by the warmth of family and educated at the prestigious Alliance School, to a humble, solitary existence of labor and study on a kibbutz in Haifa where he first learned to speak Hebrew and would later prepare for war.

As I grew older, and my “Abba” (father) felt I was mature enough to handle greater truths, his stories became more piquant, filled with details of his pains and struggles, joys and triumphs. Each retold memory was imbued with a sense of pride and humility; reverence and awe at how he and his lonsmen in battle, so severely outnumbered, were at the mercy of the “Hand of God.” For as much as he witnessed, although his own blood had been spilled, my father would never have traded it for the world. He was a part of Israel. And so, too, became I.

Though it was clear Abba restrained himself a great deal, never wishing to frighten me with the disturbing details of the horrors he endured, he said enough. I knew he suffered. The greatest, kindest man I have ever known, who was filled with an infectious light and beloved by all he encountered, was forced to survive a barbarism few, save those who have faced evil in war, could fathom even in the darkest recesses of the mind.

Some of the most poignant of my father’s true stories revolved around two fateful operations during the War of Independence. They are as relevant today as they were then. But to get to that story, I must first tell you how my father came to be an Israeli.

Baghdad

My father was born in Baghdad, as was his father before him. In fact, our family lineage can be traced back to Babylonian times. Throughout history, various forces came to rule over Iraq, from the Ottomans, to the Mongols, to the British, but in all its incarnations there was only one constant. Indeed, since the 6th century BCE, the Jewish people maintained a consistent and deeply influential presence in Babylon over 1,000 years before Islam arrived.

In my grandfather’s prime, Iraq fell under the auspices of the British Mandate and Jews, who until then were vehemently discriminated against, finally became recognized as full-fledged citizens. They were given the right to vote, hold political office and indeed, attain their rightful place in society.

Although the British Mandate of Iraq officially ended in 1930, the Baghdad of my father’s childhood was still highly influenced by the monarchy and was a flourishing metropolis if ever there was one. Members of the city’s established Jewish community, which comprised 40 percent of Baghdad’s population, along with its Christian counterpart, played an indispensable role in shaping the land into a thriving paradise that enjoyed economic, agricultural and societal prosperity.

Still, as they are wont to do, the primitivism and tribalism, the jealousy and loathing, the anti-Semitism that has long-served as hallmarks of the Arab world, reared its ugly head eventually. It was not before long that a pro-Nazi prime minister took hold of the kingdom and, just like that, the nearly three millennia-old Iraqi Jewish community was faced with outright extinction (sound familiar?).

Many, including some students of history are unaware of the fact that the Holocaust was not confined solely to Europe, but that its reach stretched as far as the Middle East and North Africa. While Arabs certainly needed no help fomenting hatred of their Jewish neighbors, it was Adolf Hitler who solidified, in their minds, the belief that the genocide they had always dreamed of was actually attainable. As the Final Solution raged in the West, Muslims in the East saw Hitler’s Third Reich as the model to emulate. And so they tried.

Russia's president gives Snowden asylum -- and reminds the world that America's foes have nothing to fear.

A former American NSA and CIA security contractor-turned-whistleblower leaks to the international press highly classified government documents revealing that his beloved U.S.A. is spying on its citizens.

“I don’t want to live in a society that does these sort of things [conducts surveillance on its citizens],” he told Glenn Greenwald of The Guardian after fleeing the U.S. for Hong Kong.

“I do not want to live in a world where everything I do and say is recorded… That is not something I am willing to support or live under.”

Sounds noble until we ask ourselves: If one is so ideologically opposed to government spying on its citizens, why seek asylum in the two places (China and Russia) that have long abused their citizens’ personal freedoms and human rights?

While Edward Snowden may seem a righteous truth-seeker whose only goal is to selflessly shield Americans from Big Brother, his actions appear quite incongruous with his story.

On the one hand, Snowden seems every bit the hero 55 percent of U.S. citizens consider him to be. After all, he exposed the extent to which everyday Americans are being monitored by the NSA and other government agencies, revealing that nothing we say or do — even in our own homes — is sacred or private.

But it is one thing to tell Americans what their own government may or may not be doing to them. It is quite another to tell America’s still post-Cold War foes what America is doing at all.

It is perhaps this gray area that has detracted attention from who this 30-year-old security contractor, now charged with espionage, really is, and what his asylum-seeking in Putin’s Russia actually represents.

To begin with, it makes the U.S. a laughing stock and gives Putin an advantage in the ongoing chess game of U.S.-Russia relations.

On August 1, after roughly one month on Russian soil, Snowden, the “unwelcomed Christmas present” (as Putin refers to him), was granted one-year temporary asylum in Russia, renewable annually. Indeed, Snowden can even apply for citizenship after a five-year period of residency if not sooner.

Clearly, Snowden’s refuge comes at a price: Namely the divulgence of sensitive information Putin can now use against the increasingly weak, toothless tiger that is the Obama administration.

How toothless is this tiger? Let’s begin by examining just how seriously Putin takes America:

Recall that in May, upon his first diplomatic visit as envoy to Russia, Secretary of State John Kerry was kept waiting for three hours until Putin could finally be bothered to arrive, blatantly breaking with, as Heritage Foundation Senior Fellow Ariel Cohen put it, standard “diplomatic protocol.”

After the former KGB apparatchik finally graced Kerry with his presence, he could hardly hide his boredom.

Putin’s behavior was, of course, a calculated way of demonstrating to the U.S. how very little the Kremlin values or respects it.

And why should he?

After learning of Snowden’s sojourn to Russia, this was White House Press Secretary Jay Carney’s bone-chilling display of strength:

“We are extremely disappointed that the Russian government would take this step despite our very clear and lawful request [to extradite Snowden to the U.S.]…Mr. Snowden is not a whistleblower—he is accused of leaking classified information.”

“Extremely disappointed” is what a parent says to his child after he comes home with a “C” on his report card, not what the spokesman for leader of the free world says to the man harboring an enemy of the state.

Nevertheless, Carney pressed on with the tough-talk, while various Obama officials (including Carney himself) negated each of the administration’s would-be threats with the revelation that it will actually not follow through on any of them.

For example, an August meeting between Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State Kerry and Russian officials was being reconsidered, but then the WSJ later reported that senior State Department officials said they do not anticipate that the meeting will be cancelled because the U.S. has a “broad range of topics…including Afghanistan,” to discuss with Russia.

Then it was revealed that the administration might consider withdrawing from a pre-G20 September summit in Moscow with Putin and President Obama, but, it seems as a matter of diplomacy, the show will in fact go on.

Even Democratic stalwart Chuck Schumer appeared fazed and thinks some meetings, at least the G-20, should be canceled or rearranged in protest.

“Russia’s stabbed us in the back and every day that Snowden is allowed to be free they twist the knife further,” the New York senator told reporters.

“Now that Snowden has been set free, I don’t think the G-20 should be meeting in Russia and I think we should not participate if they do.”

To which Carney responded that Obama actually still plans to attend the G-20 summit.

While Russia’s decision regarding Snowden is a “slap in the face to the United States,” Carney ceded, the Obama administration is more focused on addressing Syria.

So let’s save Snowden for later? He’s not that important, right?

Actually, that’s precisely what Kremlin foreign-policy advisor Yuri Ushakov thinks too.

“This situation is too insignificant to affect political relations,” the WSJ reported Ushakov as stating.

The Russian official added that his government has yet to receive any indication from the U.S. that summits in September or, presumably, any other time will be canceled.

All the stars seem to be aligned for Putin. He received his “unwelcomed Christmas present” and it is indeed a gift that will keep on giving.

The Russian President now has a bargaining chip to use against the U.S., along with classified information that could potentially devastate U.S. national security both at home and abroad.

By propagandizing the image of an American truth-seeker fleeing the land of the free for Eastern promises, Mother Russia and Putin’s façade of benevolence appears astonishingly warm and welcoming – both to the Russian people (and more poignantly, Putin’s critics) as well as others abroad.

What’s more, it reaffirms the Obama administration’s weakness on foreign policy and national security in all its forms and incarnations – from al Qaeda operatives murdering our U.S. Ambassador to a turncoat charged with one of the gravest security breaches in U.S. history.

By now, the outrageous story of Louis “Chip” Cantor, an American Jewish student who was detained and interrogated at U.K. customs, allegedly subjected to anti-Semitic slurs, and then deported to the United States, has made its rounds across the Internet.

While the details of Cantor’s ordeal seem almost too egregious to be true, based on the U.K.’s policy of appeasement towards its Muslim population, I do not doubt this young man’s story.

When I was a young, impressionable youth coming up in the world, I was what you’d call an “Anglophile.” Despite being raised in a devoutly pro-American household and being incredibly patriotic myself, I was also seduced by the supposed culture and sophistication that, at the time, it seemed only the “European way” could offer — that and I was an aspiring writer whose literary idol was Shakespeare.

So enthralled was I with my romantic notions of Southwark and the banks of the Thames where so many of my lifelong heroes and heroines came to life, that I actually packed up and moved to London and would remain there, on and off, for five years.

What ultimately drove me to abandon becoming a permanent fixture of Londontown was the realization that my parents were (as they always turned out to be), correct: That a nice Jewish girl doesn’t belong in a country that has ceded its power to an exponentially growing Islamic population, and whose indigenous British populace has been known to harbor its own share of anti-Semitic sentiment.

While I never lost my staunch belief in American exceptionalism and wholeheartedly welcomed my return to the U.S., the reasons why I felt it imperative to leave the U.K. still, to this day, weigh heavily on my heart and mind.

Throughout my time in the U.K., aside from witnessing my share of extreme anti-Israel bias across all media platforms, I was subjected to near-weekly anti-Israel, pro-Palestinian protests in the heart of the City. I was also exposed to more subtle forms of anti-Semitism among colleagues and even acquaintances.

I do not intend to paint the British population with one, broad brush. In fact, rather than abandon all fond nostalgia for my one-time home, it is my hope that the U.K. straightens up and flies right. Still, my observations of British life are noteworthy if only for the fact that it is so vastly different than here in the U.S.

I realized that, despite the 200,000-strong Jewish presence in Britain — a presence that contributed greatly to commerce, culture, art, business and philanthropy — it could never contend with a three million Muslim-strong population — many of whom laid claim to Britain as their “home” while simultaneously working tirelessly to dismantle it.

In its heyday, Britain had much of which to be proud, from the height of the empire and its greatest monarchies, to its modern-day contributions in the fields of science, literature, music, film, art and popular culture. Indeed, it is sobering to think of such a rich history gone to seed.

Britain’s historically vast colonial conquests, while they may have harbored their share of questionable practice, also brought great progress — education, enlightenment, commerce — to many a land which would have otherwise succumbed to illiteracy, poverty and general degradation.

Author Dinesh D’Souza may have summed this up best when he noted that, were it not for British colonization, he would not be the accomplished, learned man he is today. D’Souza acknowledged that while his grandfather suffered indignities at the hands of his British subjugators, it was not in vain, for a mere two generations later, he himself reaped the fruits of a first-rate education, perfect English-language skills, and the myriad opportunities that ensued as a result of such sacrifice.

Like all empires throughout history, of course, the sun eventually set on Britain’s, but that still does not explain how such an accomplished, prideful and patriotic people could literally hand their culture away to savages.

To date, Brits will literally shout in defiance at the mere suggestion that their Northern Irish (forget Southern) or Scottish kinsmen are even remotely cut of the same cloth. How dare ye? The Celts are too “beneath” the average Brit, yet it is somehow acceptable that one of the nation’s three major television networks — TV4 — broadcast the daily Muslim call to prayer during the entire month of Ramadan.

Yes, that is correct, the British network that once brought me my regular dose of soap operas has now determined its true calling is be a live “muezzin,” calling its Muslim viewership, however small to prayer.

While TV4 network heads may simply see the broadcast as a ratings “slam-dunk” based on its provocative nature, I am inclined to believe, based on the road I’ve seen the U.K. traverse, that the decision was very much made in the spirit of multiculturalism by those who smugly believe that if they keep feeding the crocodile, perhaps it will eat them last.

My suspicion was only confirmed when Ralph Lee, head of TV4’s “factual programming,” wrote that “observing the adhan [call to prayer] on Channel 4 will act as a nationwide tannoy system, a deliberate ‘provocation’ to all our viewers in the very real sense of the word.”

He added that the “vast majority of people in Britain” would remain unaware of the “mass act of personal sacrifice and worship” underway and that his network’s broadcast of the daily Muslim calls to prayer will provide needed “contrast” with the way most Muslims are represented on television.

And this, a mere month after a British-born Muslim convert literally decapitated a British soldier with a cleaver, in broad daylight, on a London street.

What is perhaps most sadly ironic, is that U.K. Islamists, whose true allegiance lies not with their host country (the one that’s given them opportunities, safeguards and freedoms unattainable in their native lands), but rather with the “ummah” or Muslim community, is laughing squarely in the face of Brits who consistently reward them.

According to Lee and his infinite wisdom, the potential “reprisals” against British Muslims following the massacre in Woolwich gave “pressing need” to broadcast the Muslim call to prayer — a peace-offering, if you will.

Why would British Muslims ever assimilate? Why would moderates in the community ever condemn savagery committed by jihadis? Why would Islamists ever fear real repercussions for beheading a man on a street-corner while passers-by looked on in horror? Why would they ever respect their hosts when clearly, it is the British who will bow to them?

Kansas City native Chip Cantor learned just how friendly Britain is to Jews approximately one month ago when he was shaken down by a British customs agent (reportedly a woman wearing a hijab) after she came across his Israeli visas.

23-year-old Cantor, who traveled to the U.K. for a summer job as well as to participate in a fundraiser for a child with cancer, was subjected to nine hours of interrogation — fingerprinting, hackneyed anti-Semitic slurs referencing the amount of money on his person (of course he must have socked the gold bars away somewhere), black-booking that will hinder his travel abilities throughout the EU, and ultimate deportation to the United States — indicating that Britain may have “unofficially” adopted a policy hostile to “foes” of their fastest- growing demographic.

And statistics support this notion.

In the first half of last year alone, 513 incidents of anti-Semitism were reported to the U.K.’s Community Security Trust. While many of those incidents were perpetrated by Muslim-Brits, disturbingly, the majority were in fact perpetrated by “white” British males.

The types of abuse reported ranged from the use of anti-Semitic slurs and verbal assault to outright physical violence. Also on the rise in the U.K. are social media hate-pages dedicated to propagating blood libel and other familiar anti-Semitic aspersions.

A survey released by the Anti-Defamation league charting Europeans’ views of the Jewish community reveal that anti-Semitic attitudes in Britain increased by seven percent between the years 2009 and 2011. What’s more, over 20 percent of Brits believe Jews hold “too much power” in the financial and business markets.

Times of Israel, meanwhile, reported some 70 “violent assaults” against Jews in Britain in 2012, including those posing “grievous bodily harm or a threat to life.”

While some might argue that these are isolated incidents and in no way reflect Brits’ – Muslim or non-Muslim — overall attitude towards Jews, I beg to differ.

While anti-Semitism exists in the U.S. as it does across every land-mass on the globe, when was the last time anyone heard of 70 “violent assaults” committed against Jewish people here in the U.S. in just one calendar year?

19 physical assaults spurred by anti-Semitism were reported in the U.S. in 2011. While horrific, let’s place that statistic in context.

The U.K. has a population of just under 63 million compared to a U.S. population nearly five times its size, yet the U.K. Muslim population is half-a-million members stronger than that of the U.S.

Muslims comprise nearly five percent of the U.K. population and represent the nation’s second-largest religion, while Jews don’t even register on Britain’s demographic radar — at least not anymore.

Whether the U.K. is now paying the piper for its colonialist past, is trying to appease the crocodile, or secretly harbors its own resentment for its Jewish minority, one thing is certain: The sun has indeed set on the British empire, and in more ways than one.

On last Wednesday evening’s Glenn Beck Program, guest host Erick Stakelbeck discussed the “unholy alliance between radical Islamists and the political left, which he encountered personally at Portland State University recently. On May 14, 2012, the PSU chapter of Christians United for Israel (CUFI) hosted a “Stand With Israel” event where the CBN correspondent addressed an audience of nearly 150 students and community members on “Terrorism, Israel, and the U.S.” The CUFI website explains what happened next:

As the event approached, over 50 promotional flyers posted by the chapter disappeared or were defaced by anti-Israel activists, forcing the CUFI students to constantly repost flyers throughout the sprawling campus. Then, on Friday, a student made a shocking discovery: someone had scrawled a Nazi Swastika, as well as pro-Palestinian slogans, over a picture of the Star of David on several of the flyers.

This disgusting act of hatred lead to a swarm of coverage by local media outlets including a report on the local ABC as well as CBN and TheBlaze.com following a blog post written by Erick Stakelbeck. That same day, the CUFI on Campus chapter was notified that anti-Israel groups on campus were planning to protest the event. Despite the continued opposition, the chapter moved forward with the event as planned.

Joining Stakelbeck to discuss the hypocrisy of American leftists who blindly defend some of the most flagrant abusers of human rights the world has ever known, were David Brog, author and executive director for CUFI, and Jamie Glazov, author and managing editor of FrontPageMag.

Invoking the recent, tragic case of Fakhra Younus – a young Pakistani woman who committed suicide over a decade after her then-husband poured acid over her face, permanently disfiguring her — Galzov asked why her story has not become the number one topic of discussion among the left, who frequently claim fame when it comes to “women’s rights.”

Astutely pointed out was the fact that, if the left admitted that what happened to Fakhra was wrong, they would in turn be admitting to a fatal flaw within Islam — this would then confirm that Western, particularly American, society is built upon a superior framework. And that is not something leftists are in any way, shape, or form prepared to cede.

In his book, “In Defense of Faith: The Judeo-Christian Idea and the Struggle for Humanity,” Brog delves into this superior framework, explaining in detail how the Judeo-Christian ethic, by its very nature and tenets, is the greatest defender and upholder of human rights.

Brog noted, however, that the reason America and Israel are “losing the argument” is because an entire audience comprising liberals believe that “evil” does not exist, and that if Islamists hate the West and Israel, they must do so for a “good” reason (rather than a purely evil one).

“Generations have forgotten where these [Western] values come from in the first place,” observed Brog.

Gazov, who fled the Soviet Union, concurred, adding that conservatives have consistently shown care and concern for the persecution of women and other minorities at the hands of Islamists, yet are routinely labeled racists and Islamophobes by the left.

“They [Islamists] hate the beauty of life,” Glazov said before expressing his deep and abiding affection for the U.S.

He reminded viewers that it took a great leader like Ronald Reagan to finally use the word “evil” when it came to the Soviet Union. “Without that acknowledgement we can never prevail.” Glazov is also the author of the book, ”United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny and Terror.”
