This national poll is a test of public opinion on a the presidential election of 2008 and the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. Ms. Clinton’s chief pollster made news recently by claiming that her victory in 2008 was “inevitable.” His argument was that she has stronger than usual support from women particularly, but also Hispanics, African Americans, union families and other key constituencies in the traditional Democratic Party coalition. He pointed out further that most national polls now show Ms. Clinton with a lead over the top tier of Republican candidates.
Perception, as it is well known, creates reality in politics. Based their polls showing Hillary ahead, polls produced by Gallup, USAToday, CBSnews, and other polling organizations have the ability to anoint Hillary as the odds on favorite not only in the Democratic Party primaries but also in the general election. That is why it is important for respondents bypassed by the "mainstream" public opinion sampling organizations to meaningfully register their opinions.
Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions so that we can let opinion makers in the media and policy makers in government know what you think on the question of the “inevitability” of Hillary Clinton. When this poll is completed, we will share the results with the media and organizations involved in the dissemination of public opinion, and also advise you of the results by email.
