In 2009, Obama said that Mubarak was a stalwart ally. Now he's saying that the alliance with Egypt is over. And who is responsible for losing Egypt?
The situation with the Muslim Brotherhood has finally reached the point where even Obama has been forced to concede that due to his undermining of Mubarak, Egypt has gone from being an ally to no longer being an ally... at best.
President Barack Obama says the U.S. would not consider Egypt an ally, "but we don't consider them an enemy." Obama said a "new government that is trying to find its way." And he warned that if the Egyptian government takes actions showing "they're not taking responsibility," then it would "be a real big problem."
Apparently Obama thinks it's fine to send a billion dollars to prop up a Muslim Brotherhood government that isn't even an ally. But hey if they attack our embassy again... next time Obama will only send them 500 million to show them what a "real big problem" it is.
Now here is Obama saying that Mubarak is a stalwart ally of the United States.
He has now admitted that Egypt went from being an ally in 2009 to no longer being an ally in 2012.
So who is responsible for turning Egypt from an ally into a non-ally? Who lost Egypt? The buck has to stop with the man in the big chair.
