“Obama is a good guy” Chavez said. “I hope this doesn’t harm Obama, but if I was from the United States, I’d vote for Obama,”
“Obama is a good guy … I think that if Obama was from Barlovento or some Caracas neighborhood, he’d vote for Chavez,” the president told state TV, referring to a poor coastal town known for the African roots of its population.
“I hope this doesn’t harm Obama, but if I was from the United States, I’d vote for Obama,”
You know what, I think Hugo is right, Obama would vote for Chavez.
Chavez can't count on Obama to vote for him, but he can count on him to go on ignoring the brutality and terror in Venezuela.
On Saturday two people were shot to death during a confrontation between supporters of President Hugo Chavez and his opponent in next month's presidential election, Henrique Capriles, Venezuelan authorities said.
Venezuela's Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami said in a message on Twitter on Sunday that a suspect in the double murder was detained. He didn't identify the suspect.
Tareck El Aissami is the son of the local Baath Party leader and the nephew of Shibli Al Aissami, a top Baath Party leader in Iraq. That should give you some idea of what kind of "justice system" Venezuela has under Chavez.
