Woman who Sparked Petraeus Investigation, has Lebanese Background

Jill Kelley, the Florida woman whose complaint to the FBI may have led to the downfall of CIA Director David Petraeus, hails from a Lebanese family that emigrated to Philadelphia in the mid-1970s. Her parents, John and Marcelle Khawam, once operated a Middle Eastern restaurant in Voorhees called Sahara.

I'm really not interested in delving into the "scandal" area of this. That said, I find it interesting that (Gilberte) Jill Kelley's actual last name is Khawam and that she has a Lebanese background. Considering that she effectively initiated all this, and had deep connections with top commanders, it raises some serious questions.

The Khawam family is Christian. And her father appears to have an organist in a Maronite Christian church. Still groups such as Hezbollah have been able to recruit from among Lebanese Christians. And Muslims have been known to pose as Christians.
