The arrest of Mr. Idris, an official from the UN body, is not the first arrest case in Baidoa but that there have been more cases of UN officials working with and for the terror group linked to Islamists Al-Qaeda.
In an unofficial capacity. UN officials aiding terrorists is common enough in an official capacity, but Idris Abdi Dhakhar was doing this on how own time while working for UN FAO or the United Nation Food and Agriculture Organization.
An FAO official was today arrested for having alleged connections with the Al Shabab in Baidoa, a city in south central Somalia.
According to Baidoa police Chief Col. Mahad Abdirahman Adan, the suspect, Mr. Idris Abdi Dhakhar, was arrested after receiving reports that he has been aiding the insurgency group in the operation within the region.
Al Shahab is the local Al Qaeda franchise and our pal Idris is not exactly the first UN official to be caught in bed with the terrorists.
He said that the arrest of Mr. Idris, an official from the UN body, is not the first arrest case in Baidoa but that there have been more cases of UN officials working with and for the terror group linked to Islamists Al-Qaeda.
“Several arrest of UN officials has been done and until know there has been no any communication made by the UN to speak against or for the suspect even though they are aware of Mr. Idris’s arrest,” Echoed Col Mahad.
Kind of funny that the UN hasn't even bothered making their usual huffing noises. But then again how did that go? "As always, should you or any of your United Nations colleagues be caught or killed while aiding terrorists, the Secretary General will disavow any knowledge of your actions."
