The real goal of the left is the destruction of the middle class. Then force government health care on everyone and fine tune when your citizens stop living, which will take central planning to a whole new level.
Death and taxes. The liberal plan for America doesn't get any simpler than that.
Paul Krugman is the spend-and-spend economic guru of liberalism. From his perch at the New York Times, he insists that the government can spend infinite amounts of money because debt is just a word that Republicans made up. And that's well and good, but though Krugman plays the court jester of the national debt, he does know better.
Like the rest of the left, he has an agenda. He knows that the bills for the welfare state will eventually come due and that this will represent an opportunity to dramatically reshape the country.
My vision, how I want it to be done is, we're going to need more revenue, we're going to need more and probably in the end, surely in the end will require some middle class taxes . We won’t be able to pay for the kind of government the society will want without some increase in taxes… on the middle class, maybe a value added tax... And we’re also going to have to make decisions about health care, doc pay for health care that has no demonstrated medical benefits . So the snarky version... which I shouldn’t even say because it will get me in trouble is death panels and sales taxes is how we do this.
Middle class taxes were always on the table since the real goal of the left is the destruction of the middle class. The so-called taxes on the rich are just the appetizer for the real deal. There aren't enough of the rich around to even pay the tip for big government's all-you-can-spend restaurant bill.
Push enough people out of the middle class and into the lower class and use them as a weapon against the rest of the middle class. Then force government health care on everyone and you get to fine tune when your citizens stop living, which will take central planning to a whole new level.
