North Korea Joins the Syria War Party

The worst people in the world are fighting each other in Syria. Why not let them do it?

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad shakes hands with U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in Damascus You never know...

The Syrian Civil War is swiftly becoming the world's worst party attracting not only the drunken idiots who hang around at the corner store, the guy who sells weed on campus and the crazy homeless man at the bus station, but also the serial killer from the next town over and the leader of a drug cartel.

The good news is that they're all killing each other. And more of them are piling on every day.

Today let's welcome the North Koreans. North Korea is a brutal backward Communist dictatorship whose  idea of human rights is testing chemical weapons on small children. That gives it all the qualifications it needs to show up to the Syria Party.

In another bizarre twist to Syria's tragic civil war, opposition forces are now claiming that officers from the North Korean army are aiding the fight against the rebels in an effort to bolster Bashar al-Assad.

According to a "Syrian human rights center", a few of Assad's civilian militia fighters revealed the presence of the North Korean officers in the war zones.

A-Rachman, whose organisation releases daily reports on the fighting in Syria since the civil war broke out more than two years ago, said that "the North Korean officers are spread throughout many fronts, including the Syrian Defense Ministry factories southeast of Aleppo and in the regime's forces centers in Aleppo." He claimed that they do not take part in the actual fighting, yet provide the Assad army with logistic support and construct operational plans. "They also supervise the regime's artillery in the region," he said.

This isn't too surprising for anyone who remembers the Cold War. At this point I wouldn't be too surprised if the Cubans also show up to the party.

But it's all just a reminder that the worst people in the world are fighting each other in Syria. Why not let them do it?
