Considering that CNN is already at the bottom of the ratings heap, there's nowhere to go except down. And when you take the CNN elevator down, past the lobby at Time Warner and down to the sub-basements, there is Al Jazeera America... waiting.
Al Jazeera America's big coup is snatching up Soledad O'Brien, a woman whose career would not exist without the great liberal racial obsession. This dovetails nicely with Al Jazeera's American propaganda which uses liberal pundits to accuse the Great Satan of being racist... unlike its renowned racially tolerant Qatari bosses.
Former CNN morning show host Soledad O’Brien will be joining Al Jazeera America as a special correspondent, the network announced Monday.
O’Brien will contribute short-form segments to Al Jazeera America’s current affairs magazine program “America Tonight,” and her production company Starfish Media Group will produce hourlong documentary specials.
This is the deal that O'Brien had with CNN. It's not clear what Soledad O'Brien gains from this arrangement. Maybe more money. Maybe she's hoping that Al Jazeera will take her on full time once they see her next awesome special. "RACIST AMERIKKKA IS SUPER-RACIST."
And what is Al Jazeera getting? CNN's worst morning host ever. A woman whom CNN viewers absolutely refused to watch.
Despite low ratings — “Starting Point” had just 234,000 viewers on a typical day last year, CNN’s smallest audience in the mornings in a decade — Ms. O’Brien said she was proud of the show, and in particular its reputation for tough interviews. “We became relevant in an important election,” she said.
And what really attracted the Emir of Qatar to a cheap lefty CNN radical-for-hire?
Soledad O'Brien's latest "In America" special, "Unwelcome: The Muslims Next Door," examines a searing, hot-button issue in modern American life: the place of Muslims in American society and the hatred that has been directed towards many of them.
Searing. Good luck to O'Brien who now gets to be the correspondent for a wealthy totalitarian terror state that runs on oil despite being a global warming fanatic.
