Colorado School Shooter was a Socialist, Hated Republicans

“He had very strong beliefs about gun laws and stuff,” said junior Abbey Skoda

Considering the Second Amendment debate in Colorado now, there's no doubt that Karl Pierson's failed attempt to kill his debate coach with a shotgun for disciplining him will be exploited to its full potential. It wouldn't surprise me if Obama showed up to preach gun control.

And yet the gunman may have agreed with Obama on that very issue. He certainly agreed with him on economic issues.

The teenage gunman who entered Arapahoe High School Friday afternoon and shot two fellow students with a shotgun was outspoken about politics, a gifted debater and may have been bullied for his beliefs, according to students who knew him.

“He had very strong beliefs about gun laws and stuff,” said junior Abbey Skoda, who was in a class with the alleged shooter her freshman year.

Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with [the shooter] Pierson, described him as a very opinionated Socialist.

Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing “you republicans are so cute” and posting an image that reads: “The Republican Party: Health Care: Let ‘em Die, Climate Change: Let ‘em Die, Gun Violence: Let ‘em Die, Women’s Rights: Let ‘em Die, More War: Let ‘em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?”

True to form for the media, we're not told what his opinion on gun laws was. But somehow I suspect if the shooter who liked the idea that his name was the spelled the same way as Karl Marx's was not a secret NRA member.

The best evidence of that is that the reporter would have undoubtedly followed up for specifics instead of leaving it ambiguous.

Considering the shotgun, which can't even be spun as an assault shotgun, there's not that much gun control material here. But that won't stop the left. It never stops the left. And after one member of the left committed the murder, other members of the left will try to profit from it.
