Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Admitted Bergdahl was a Deserter

The media spins some things. Other things it just buries.

Ever since Obama decided that Bowe Bergdahl was going to be his human shield against the VA scandal, the topic has been dead and buried. And anything tied to Obama's rep becomes a truthkiller faster than an Elizabeth Warren staffer editing Wikipedia articles.

Still there's ample evidence that the military knew quite well that Bergdahl was a deserter.

Then-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Michael Mullen admitted that Bowe Berghdal was a deserter, and said that he did not know why the military was focusing so much energy on trying to save him, according to one of Bergdahl’s platoon mates.

“The joint chief of staff, Admiral Mullen at the time. He came out to our unit and had Thanksgiving dinner, and he said, ‘Yeah he walked off, everybody knows he walked off, I don’t know why they’re trying to’” pretend that he didn’t, Bergdahl’s former infantry roommate Cody Full told The Daily Caller.

The pro-Obama media lobby won't take any of these accusations head on because they require calling soldiers liars. It's the same reason you won't see them address statements about Hillary Clinton by the parents of Benghazi victims.

The media spins some things. Other things it just buries.

Bowe Bergdahl's status is a no-brainer. It was Rolling Stone, of all places,a  leftier than left outlet, that reported on it. There's a small mountain of quotes from members of his unit.

And now from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

If this were Bush who tried to hide behind a deserter to dodge a scandal in which veterans died at the VA, the media would be screaming its head off. But since it's Obama, the whole thing has gone quiet.
