According to Obama, Abbas is Israel's "true partner" in peace.
In Israel, Obama said, "I know you have had differences with the Palestinian Authority. I genuinely believe that you do have a true partner in President Abbas and Prime Minister Fayyad. I believe that. And they have a track record to prove it.”
When he received Abbas in the White House, Obama said, "I have to commend President Abbas. He has been somebody who has consistently renounced violence, has consistently sought a diplomatic and peaceful solution that allows for two states, side by side, in peace and security; a state that allows for the dignity and sovereignty of the Palestinian people and a state that allows for Israelis to feel secure and at peace with their neighbors."
Then Abbas formed a unity government with Hamas and mentions that there are no differences between his policies and those of Hamas.
So much for the moderate alternative.
His Fatah party meanwhile brags about how many Jews it killed.
The Fatah movement has used its Facebook page to promote violence and terror against Israelis, both in Gaza and in the West Bank.
The following is today's post celebrating and bragging about Fatah's murder of Israeli civilians:
"Listen well! To whoever does not know Fatah and argues with this giant movement:
Fatah has killed 11,000 Israelis
Fatah has sacrificed 170,000 Martyrs (Shahids)
Killing 11,000 Jews seems rather disproportionate. But then again what kind of death cult brags about losing 170,000 people to kill 11,000 Jews?
Apparently the kind of moderate peace partners who consistently renounce violence and want a solution that will let Israelis live in security.
We're supposed to believe that PLOstine would be more moderate than Hamastine, when the President of PLOstine insists on telling us they're the same thing. We can take him at his word or we can go live in the imaginary Peaceland inhabited by Peres and Obama.
