"Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran"
Biden's greatest asset is being able to shamelessly reel off crazy lies and dare anyone to call him on them.
Vice President Joe Biden continued to defend the deal in appearances before Jewish audiences.
Biden told Jewish leaders gathered Thursday morning at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center in Davie, Florida, that he had been “sort of the skeptic in the administration” who needed convincing before buying into the deal. But the former head of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee said he now believes it will make the U.S. and Israel safer, not weaker.
That's right. No one is more skeptical than Biden when it comes to Iran.
According to Israel’s Army radio, Mr. Biden, as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told Israeli officials three years ago that, sooner or later, they would have to reconcile themselves to the reality of a nuclear-armed Iran.
According to the report, Mr. Biden reaffirmed to the Israelis his rejection of military action against Iran, but also admitted that diplomatic efforts to halt Tehran’s nuclear program had little chance of success. He told the Israelis that he had resigned himself to the idea of a nuclear-armed Iran, and that they would have to accept it as well.
But we're all pretending that this never happened. And that this never happened either...
After September 11th, Biden Suggested Sending $200 Million To Iran, "No Strings Attached," As A Gesture Of Good Faith To The Arab World.
"At the Tuesday-morning meeting with committee staffers, Biden launches into a stream-of-consciousness monologue about what his committee should be doing, before he finally admits the obvious: 'I'm groping here.' Then he hits on an idea: America needs to show the Arab world that we're not bent on its destruction.
'Seems to me this would be a good time to send, no strings attached, a check for $200 million to Iran' Biden declares.
He surveys the table with raised eyebrows, a How do ya like that? look on his face."
Joe Biden. Iran Skeptic.
Biden had called for impeaching President Bush if he did anything about Iran. He was feted by the Iran Lobby and dismissed an Iranian nuclear threat during the Democratic debate.
If Biden is the administration's skeptic on Iran, just how much worse are Obama and Kerry?
