The logic here is that reporting about the weather is trivial and downright ‘pornographic’ but promoting a hoax to make Americans poorer and Al Gore richer is serious journalism.

Just ask Andrew Tyndall. Who is Andrew Tyndall? Let’s let his bio speak for him.

He claims to be the only person on the planet who has personally watched every single weekday network nightly newscast since the summer of 1987. Other people go on vacation: he records them all and logs the news he missed into his database when he returns.

In other words he has a problem. A problem so obscure that there probably isn’t a support group for it. He’s also just the kind of person that the AP decided to quote to smear a female meteorologist for not scaring people with Warmunism often enough.

Others use a more blunt term: weather porn. The extra time spent on these stories can’t be explained by an increased frequency of or interest in bad weather, and they’re rarely used in context of a discussion about climate change, Tyndall said.

“If Ginger Zee reported in the role of climatologist rather than meteorologist, I would praise ABC’s ‘World News Tonight’s’ decision as a daring intervention into a crucial national and global debate,” he said. “Instead, she is more like a pornographer.”

Tyndall is a creep, but can you imagine the Associated Press running a story with a quote like that targeting a female professional if it didn’t have a direct political agenda.

Ugly moments like these really speak volumes.

Recycling is a scam. I’ve said it before. It does nothing for the environment. It does plenty for the wallets of the well connected who have recycling businesses. That’s the only reason for recycling.

Western countries dump their “recycling” into Third World countries in heaps indistinguishable from the old bad landfills. Except the difference is that they’re in major cities.

These filthy photographs show monstrous mounting piles of waste overflowing into streets and even blocking roads in the city of Shenzhen in southern China’s Guangdong Province.

The smell is so bad nauseous residents have taken to wearing masks.

Tonnes of plastic recycling being sent from Britain and other European countries is being blamed for the backlog, as tough EU laws have forced local authorities and businesses on the continent to recycle more.

One local Sun Fu, 33, said: “We have been forced to wear masks to deal with the smell, and sometimes roads can be blocked as the rubbish heaps topple over when they get too high. Something has to be done about this.”

Don’t recycle. It’s bad for people. It’s bad for the environment.

If the left can't get around the First Amendment one way, it will find another way around it.

If the left can’t get around the First Amendment one way, it will find another way around it.

Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley made national news last year when he fought to pass and signed a tax bill that levied a tax on Marylanders, businesses and churches for the amount of “impervious surface” they have on their property.

Though the O’Malley administration calls it a “fee,” it is commonly called the “rain tax” throughout the state. It is wildly unpopular and the promise to fight to repeal the tax was a large factor in Maryland electing Republican Larry Hogan governor this month.

Now Prince George’s County is offering a way for churches to avoid paying the tax, which is estimated to be an average of $744 per year for them — preach “green” to their parishioners.

So far 30 pastors have agreed to begin “‘green’ ministries to maintain the improvements at their churches, and to preach environmentally focused sermons to educate their congregations” to avoid being hit with the tax, The Washington Post reports.

No church and state problems here. No ACLU lawsuits. No sermon subopenas. Just a good old-fashioned state church preaching the word of Mother Earth and Global Warming and green energy subsidies for highly deserving businesses.

But school vouchers so inner city kids can get access to a better education is still the devil. Every good liberal will be up in arms about it.

Whew. Doesn't that sound so much better?

Whew. Doesn’t that sound so much better?

Every now and then we get a conservative case for a carbon tax, an idea so terrible that even Australian labor has given up on it. The idea mainly involves finding other names for it.

Carbon tax sounds so taxing. How about Carbon net tax benefit? Carbon earned income tax credit? Now we’re going with 100 Percent Returnable Emissions Tax.

If you don’t know what it means you can’t hate it. Right?

You founded the Energy and Enterprise Initiative in 2010 to push for what you call a “100 percent returnable emissions tax.” What is that?

Having been tossed out of Congress for the heresy of saying that climate change is real—along with some other heresies—I decided to just go for broke and to try to advance this idea. Economists would call it a revenue-neutral carbon tax. The problem with that is that “revenue neutral” sounds like you’ve got marbles in your mouth and it also sounds like government-speak. And when you get to “carbon,” a lot of my fellow conservatives break out in hives, and then go into anaphylactic shock when you say the word “tax.” So it’s better to call it what it more palatably could be known as.

It could be known as highway robbery, but let’s go with things it could be palatably known as. Like Al Gore’s retirement fund. Or a surefire job killer.

It means that if we impose a price on carbon dioxide, it would be matched dollar for dollar with corresponding cuts of existing taxes. So it might be corporate income tax reduction, it might be individual income tax reduction, it might be FICA [social security] tax reduction. Any of those accomplishes the purpose of returning 100 percent of the money raised through a price on carbon dioxide to the taxpayers. Because it’s essential for us as conservatives that action on climate change does not result in the growth of government.

We’re just going to apply a price to everything, then we’re going to “give 100 percent of it back to you” and none of this will result in the expansion of government because the entire thing will be run by the tooth fairy.

I’ve seen more credible schemes peddled to me by the guy who sells Rolex watches without the X.

This doesn’t require some grand international agreement that takes forever to negotiate. It involves bold leadership … and also the certainty that we’re not going to expose ourselves needlessly. It becomes a system of global pricing, but it happens that way because one key actor is big enough to pull that off by their leadership in the marketplace. The United States steps in and says, “We just priced carbon dioxide and if you’re shipping stuff in here, we’re collecting on entry. But if you do the same thing in your country, great, you won’t pay any landing fees here.

Oh great. A trade war. That’s certainly bold. Also illegal. But is there a risk here?

We must find a way to get our trading partners in on this solution, because otherwise America could be the double loser. Any country that acts first and without others participating becomes a double loser. You lose employment because companies may pick up and move to lower energy cost locations. But you also lose the race to reduce global emissions, because when that productive capacity picks up and moves, say from the United States to a greater emitting country, we just went downhill.

Or we could just put the money into Roles watches. I’m told that not only do they increase in value every second, but they also cut carbon.

Just ask the tooth fairy.

In the Great Recession, it became the fashion among conservatives to dismiss action on climate because it seems like it’s an issue that’s a decade or two or three away and we had more pressing challenges of jobs and economic growth. As the recession lets up and we get a few more minutes to explain why this is a danger but also an incredible opportunity, then we think conservatives will respond positively.

Absolutely. I hear Chris Christie is already on board and with a little more work Huntsman will be making the conservative case for it. If only we can get Ross Douhat and David Brooks to pen New York Times articles in favor, the conservatives will be all locked up.

We’re trying to change the question. If the question is, “Is climate change real?” the unfortunate answer starts with the words, “Well, I’m not a scientist”—and then it goes downhill from there. We want to change the question to, “Is there a free-enterprise answer to climate change?” That’s a very different question.

Stop asking whether the sky is falling. The question is there a free enterprise solution to the sky falling? And can it bankrupt us?

But just think about it. If Trey Gowdy hadn’t won, we would still have this guy in Congress.

The trees are evil!" width="450" height="253" />
No wait, don’t save the trees. The trees are evil!

Apparently the only two things that don’t cause Global Warming are giving lots of money to environmental consultants and the New York Times.

Everything else causes Global Warming.

It’s understandable that we’d expect trees to save us from rising temperatures, but climate science tells a different story. Besides the amount of greenhouse gases in the air, another important switch on the planetary thermostat is how much of the sun’s energy is taken up by the earth’s surface, compared to how much is reflected back to space. The dark color of trees means that they absorb more of the sun’s energy and raise the planet’s surface temperature.

That’s right. Those pesky trees are too dark. If we kill them, they’ll bleach and turn pale or tan and that will be good for the environment.

Worse, trees emit reactive volatile gases that contribute to air pollution and are hazardous to human health.

Quick, chop down a tree. It’s the only way to save the planet from its evil gasses.

While trees provide carbon storage, forestry is not a permanent solution because trees and soil also “breathe” — that is, burn oxygen and release carbon dioxide back into the air. Eventually, all of the carbon finds its way back into the atmosphere when trees die or burn.

We can’t kill the trees and we can’t live with the trees. All we can do is turn the trees into copies of the New York Times and hope that will save us from the Flying Global Warming Monster.

I didn't think I could get behind the extinction of the human race until I saw this hipster.

If you believe the media, today’s People’s Climate March was a gathering of grandmothers, adorable kiddies and smiling college students in polar bear costumes to urge us all to live in miserable poverty in order to save the planet from a threat that doesn’t exist.

Except for the Green Energy tycoons behind this thing who will get very, very rich. (Just ask Al Gore, who was there.)

But when most people hear the word “People” and “March” in one sentence, they think commies. And indeed there were plenty of Commies there. Also terrorist supporters and random lunatics from the great asylum that is New York City.

Here, with thanks to JunkScience.com, are some of the more notable idiots at the People’s Climate March.

I didn’t think I could get behind the extinction of the human race until I saw this hipster. After seeing this hipster, I actually hope that Global Warming can somehow be made real because a species that produced this specimen doesn’t deserve to exist.

No, but we can start burning idiots. It’s bound to give us a few years in which we can watch them marching around with stupid signs that demonstrate that they know as much about science and the environment as they do about anything else.

No. Clearly not.

This is why the average dolphin is smarter than the average Climate Marcher. Stupid dolphins get caught in nets and die. Stupid people do this.

Speaking of idiots, Code Pink took a break off from urging the genocide of Yazidis in Iraq to protest the war on ISIS at the People’s Climate March.

Good investment. Hard to decide whether Hillary or Cuomo is the better “investor“.

Several companies run by big-time donors to New York’s Gov. Cuomo have won millions of dollars in state economic development grants since he took office, state records show.

At least seven companies that received a total of $15.25 million in grants from state Regional Economic Development Councils are linked to $1.25 million in donations to Cuomo’s campaign treasury since 2010, the records show.

One of those companies, Taylor Biomass LLC in Orange County, was awarded $1 million in 2013 to build a waste-to-energy facility.

Green Energy. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Taylor Biomass has a lot of Democratic Party connections. Including very high up.

Taylor Biomass Energy in Orange County is getting $100 million in loan guarantees to expand, create jobs and create green energy as the company turns trash to treasure. The recycling business sorts trash efficiently and turn it into things like wood mulch and bits of brick for paving projects.

Jim Taylor, the company’s CEO, is being given the money to make a new plant – and tap into tremendous potential for the economy and environment.

That’s why he’s getting an Innovative Technology Grant from the Obama Administration to turn the garbage into energy.

Innovative. Recycling. Green Energy.

So many ways to spell Corruption.

Will Congress stand up for working Americans?

Accountability? The rule of law? The Constitution? Those are for lesser men.

If Obama feels like bombing a country, he bombs it. If he feels like creating a massive border crisis with illegal alien amnesty, he does it. And if he feels like signing on to a treaty, he just ignores the Senate.

Warmunism is more important than the rule of law.

The Obama administration is working to forge a sweeping international climate change agreement to compel nations to cut their planet-warming fossil fuel emissions, but without ratification from Congress.

Wasn’t it nice when we had three branches of government? Also we had a Constitution and some sort of mechanism for removing power-mad tyrants from power. I believe it sounded something like “impeachment.”

But under the Constitution, a president may enter into a legally binding treaty only if it is approved by a two-thirds majority of the Senate.

To sidestep that requirement, President Obama’s climate negotiators are devising what they call a “politically binding” deal that would “name and shame” countries into cutting their emissions…

“There’s a strong understanding of the difficulties of the U.S. situation, and a willingness to work with the U.S. to get out of this impasse,” said Laurence Tubiana, the French ambassador for climate change to the United Nations. “There is an implicit understanding that this not require ratification by the Senate.”

It figures that it would be the French. They’ve always liked kings and emperors.

American negotiators are instead homing in on a hybrid agreement — a proposal to blend legally binding conditions from an existing 1992 treaty with new voluntary pledges. The mix would create a deal that would update the treaty, and thus, negotiators say, not require a new vote of ratification.

Countries would be legally required to enact domestic climate change policies — but would voluntarily pledge to specific levels of emissions cuts and to channel money to poor countries to help them adapt to climate change. Countries might then be legally obligated to report their progress toward meeting those pledges at meetings held to identify those nations that did not meet their cuts.

“There’s some legal and political magic to this,” said Jake Schmidt, an expert in global climate negotiations with the Natural Resources Defense Council, an advocacy group. “They’re trying to move this as far as possible without having to reach the 67-vote threshold” in the Senate.

In seeking to go around Congress to push his international climate change agenda, Mr. Obama is echoing his domestic climate strategy. In June, he bypassed Congress and used his executive authority to order a far-reaching regulation forcing American coal-fired power plants to curb their carbon emissions. That regulation, which would not be final until next year, already faces legal challenges, including a lawsuit filed on behalf of a dozen states.

The Obama administration’s international climate strategy is likely to infuriate Republican lawmakers who already say the president is abusing his executive authority by pushing through major policies without congressional approval.

The question is will Congress stand up for working Americans, for jobs and the Constitution or will it let Obama’s Green billionaire backers steamroll this through?

Governor Moonbeam’s plan must be to raise the price of gas high enough that light rail finally becomes economical.

Beginning in January, fuel suppliers in California will have to comply with the Cap and Trade program. The 2006 initiative seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the state. And it seems generally expected that the coming change will lead to higher gasoline prices.

Projected increases range from 10 cents to 69 cents a gallon. In San Diego County, where the average price on Friday of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline was $3.894, that would be a significant jump into the $4 or more territory…

Political consultant Mike Madrid said politicians have good reason to be concerned. Voters would likely blame incumbents if gas prices go up, Madrid said.

“If gas prices were to go up 15 cents, you would start to see some political shake out. If it goes up 25, 30, 40 cents? You would see an earthquake,” he said.

Would it? The Greens have gotten their way in California so far. All they had to do was promise some imaginary Green Jobs.

Gas prices even affect people who don’t pay taxes, but it’s not inconceivable that the Democrats would respond with a lower income gas subsidy and pass the cost on to working people.

More blood for the Green Goddess.

“Certain agricultural processes can actually release carbon pollution and help contribute to the problem [of global warming] in the first place,” Kerry said. “Rather than convert natural areas to new farmland – a process that typically releases significant amounts of carbon pollution – we can instead concentrate our efforts on making existing farmlands more productive.”

Or they could do both.

That seems like a good idea for a continent struggling with famines.

The original Green Revolution played a key role in expanding agricultural usability. But as the population expands, farmland has to expand too.

“Let them eat Heinz Ketchup” is not an option.

Greens however care more about Carbon than people. That’s the sociopathic position on display here. The Greens respond to everything by touting more efficiency, meanwhile they run up the cost of the original product.

They’ve done that with energy in the West. Now they’re trying to do it with food in Africa.

There are senior citizens dying of Energy Poverty in the UK because the Greens pushed wind and solar subsidies. Now they would like to see children dying in Africa.

The study mentions age, but not income. I suspect this is in part a class issue with wealthy leftists once again not practicing what they preach.

Think about Al Gore jetting around the world.

People who claim to worry about climate change use more electricity than those who do not, a Government study has found.

Those who say they are concerned about the prospect of climate change consume more energy than those who say it is “too far into the future to worry about,” the study commissioned by the Department for Energy and Climate Change found…

The findings will strengthen the case of those who argue that more coercive methods are needed if people’s energy consumption is to be reduced.

Coercive is always the endgame and coercive hits the poor harder than the wealthy left.

Environmentalism has always been the real class warfare denying affordable food, products and jobs to the working and middle classes while shoving money into the pockets of Green Tycoons and environmental consultants.

The weather is never right. Either it’s too hot or it’s too cold.

Big Green with its parasite trails of investment firms and law firms hoping to cash in on Carbon taxes insists it’s too hot. Greenpeace’s co-founder suggests we may heading toward colder times.

Ecologist Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, warned “I fear a global cooling,” during his keynote address to the Ninth International Conference on Climate Change in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Moore, who left Greenpeace in 1986 because he felt it had become too radical, is the author of “Confessions of a Greenpeace Dropout: The Making of a Sensible Environmentalist.

Moore noted that a cooling would adversely impact agriculture, and said: “Let’s hope for a little warming as opposed to a little cooling. I would rather it got a little warmer.

Moore noted that “the U.S. is currently been cooling” and noted that there has been “no global warming for nearly 18 years.” He also mocked the notion that “everything is due to global warming.”

“If it warms two degrees, hopefully more in Canada in the North…maybe it would be a good thing if it did,” Moore explained.

Moore noted that carbon dioxide is a trace essential gas in the atmosphere and is not the control knob of the Earth’s climate.

“CO2 is the most important nutrient for all life on earth,” he noted.

That’s obviously why it has to be taxed. Think like a liberal.

To combat what it calls a “false balance” on the issue, the trust’s report called for more BBC staffers to attend courses and seminars to help them learn how to bring their programming in line with what the BBC Trust accepts as the consensus view.

How Orwellian.

Sending news staffers to courses to discourage them from engaging in objective reporting or open debate. The Ministry of Truth is back.

According to the report, 200 senior BBC staffers have already attended the programming workshops, and it hopes to send more.

Shouldn’t those be Reprogramming workshops?

The main complaint for made by former Green Party councillor and low-energy specialist Chit Chong who said the BBC acted irresponsibly in allowing the debate to consider the existence of climate change.

Speaking today Mr Chong said: ”By broadcasting programmes that question the existence of climate change, the BBC is confusing people, allowing them to deny what is actually happening. It is not responsible journalism.’

And you wouldn’t want to confuse people by letting them hear two sides.

A BBC spokesperson said: ‘The BBC is committed to impartial and balanced coverage of climate change. We accept that there is broad scientific agreement on the issue and reflect this accordingly.

‘Across our programmes the number of scientists and academics who support the mainstream view far outweighs those who disagree with it.

The BBC seems to be a bit confused about the concepts of balanced and impartial. But meanwhile everyone, regardless of their views on Global Warming, will be forced to subsidize the BBC’s wealthy execs anyway.

Once upon time we reached for the stars. Now we have no more space program, thanks to Obama, but we have recycling programs everywhere while grants are given to any scientist willing to claim that the sky is falling.

It’s important sometimes to look back and consider what the environmentalists have taken away from us with their massive ecoscam.

“Since about 2000, I looked farther and farther into it,” Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham said. “I found that not one of the claims that the alarmists were making out there had any bearings, whatsoever. And, so, it was kind of a no-brainer to come to the conclusion.”

Cunningham rejects the notion of man-made climate, not only as fact – but also as even qualifying as an actual “theory”:

“In the media, it was being called a theory. Obviously, they didn’t know what it means to be a theory.”

“If we go back to the warmist hypothesis – not a theory, but, a hypothesis – they’ve been saying from the very beginning that carbon dioxide levels are abnormally high, that higher levels of carbon dioxide are bad for humans, and they thought warmer temperatures are bad for our world, and they thought we were able to override natural forces to control the earth’s temperature. So, as I’ve looked into those, that’s the problem that I’ve found, because I didn’t find any of those to be correct – and, they certainly were not a theory, it was just their guess at what they wanted to see in the data they were looking at.”

Cunningham urges Americans to look at the data and decide for themselves, instead of taking anyone else’s word for it:

“You go out and take a look at it and you find out that a lot of it is pure nonsense and wishful thinking on the part of the alarmists who are looking for more and more money to fall into their hands.”

“If you go back and you look at the data that has been well-documented over the years, you can look and see, for example, that right now both carbon dioxide and temperature are simultaneously at one of the lowest levels in at least the last 600-800 million years. The last time they were both together at this low a level, more or less, was 300 million years ago, and if you go back go back about 500-600 million years ago, carbon dioxide was 15 times higher than what it is now. So, what I’m getting at is this, the history shows you that most of this is just plain nonsensical today.”

“To me, it’s almost laughable, it’s the biggest fraud in the field of science, certainly in my lifetime, maybe the biggest one in centuries.”

It’s certainly the most ambitious.

We’re just capping off and trading American jobs to any country that wants them.

Labor unions criticized the Environmental Protection Agency’s new regulations on carbon emissions from power plants on Monday, highlighting growing tensions between the environmentalist and working class arms of the Democratic Party.

United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) president Cecil Roberts blasted the proposal, saying it would leave tens of thousands of the union’s members unemployed.

“The proposed rule … will lead to long-term and irreversible job losses for thousands of coal miners, electrical workers, utility workers, boilermakers, railroad workers and others without achieving any significant reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions,” Roberts said in a statement.

According to a UMWA analysis, Roberts said, the rule will cause 75,000 job losses in the coal sector by 2020, rising to 152,000 by 2035.

“When a U.S. government economic multiplier used to calculate the impact of job losses is applied to the entire economy, we estimate that the total impact will be about 485,000 permanent jobs lost,” Roberts said.

The left has gone from treating miners like heroes to turning them into enemies of the state. The wealthy special interests of Big Green have made billions from Obama Inc. and they won’t stop until they destroy what’s left of the working class they hate.

“It’s clear the administration needs to grow a set of antlers, or perhaps take a lesson from Popeye and eat some spinach,” the president of the Laborers International Union of North America said at the time.

It’s a 96% consensus of 72% of adulterers who blame Global Warming. If you were wondering whether there is anything in the world that can’t be blamed on Global Warming, the answer is no there isn’t.

Global Warming is the deity of a secular left that is forever angry at the world and responsible for everything. If there’s a flood or forest fires, if it’s hot or it’s cold, if crime is rising or falling, if there’s a civil war in Syria or adultery in Berkeley...

…it’s all Global Warming’s fault.

Victoria Milan, a dating website for people looking to cheat on their significant other, surveyed 5,000 of its members, both men and women. A shocking 72% of them responded that yes, their own Al Gore-esque stress about unpredictable weather is the cause of their extra-marital dalliances. Guess the fact of their existing committed relationships was just an inconvenient truth.

A few centuries ago they would have said the devil made them do it. Now it’s the Global Warming devil that made them do it.

It was bad enough when the Pentagon did this sort of thing when it was buying weapons systems. It’s much worse when the things at issue are complete useless, surplus to its mission and also weapons of mass economic destruction.

Retired military officers deeply involved in the climate change movement — and some in companies positioned to profit from it — spearheaded an alarmist global warming report this month that calls on the Defense Department to ramp up spending on what it calls a man-made problem.

Manufacturers of rubber dinghies warn of importance of preparing for flooding.

The report, which the Obama administration immediately hailed as a call to action, was issued not by a private advocacy group but by a Pentagon-financed think tank that trumpets “absolute objectivity.” The research was funded by a climate change group that is also one of the think tank’s main customers.

Not a smidgen of corruption. Not even a smidgen.

The Center for Naval Analyses’ motto is “high quality, impartial information.”

Its real motto is “So long suckers.”

One of the CNA panel’s vice chairmen, retired Navy Vice Adm. Lee Gunn, is president of a private think tank, the American Security Project, whose prime issue is warning about climate change.

The other vice chairman, retired Army Brig. Gen. Gerald E. Galloway Jr., is a prominent adviser to the Center for Climate and Security, a climate change group.

If you’re noticing that there’s an entire industry of retired generals cashing in on Chicken Littleism, welcome to D.C.

In all, four CNA board members sit on the panel of advisers to the Center for Climate and Security, whose statements on climate change are similar to those found in the CNA report.

So predictably we have think tanks backed by special interests issuing impartial reports that become government policy.

The CNA advisory panel is headed by retired four-star Army Gen. Paul Kern, who sits on the board of directors of a company that sells climate-detection products to the Pentagon and other government agencies. At least two other board members are employed in businesses that sell climate change expertise and products.

But the story wouldn’t be complete without a dirty money trial from a certain Nazi collaborator and wannabe James Bond villain.

The Center for Climate and Security has taken donations from the Tides Foundation, which gets money from Democratic Party financier and liberal billionaire George Soros.

There we go.

Six Foods may be the worst thing to come out of Youngstown, Ohio since Communist Party chairman Gus Hall. Like every Halloween trick-or-treat nightmare come to life, it’s obsessed with baking bugs into chips and then selling those chips to people.

Think of every overpriced and unwanted bag of fair trade, gluten free bag of chips sitting at Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s filled with pointlessly exotic ingredients that no one wants to buy. Then add a sprinkling of genuine horror and environmentalism.

Voila.

A TWITCHING mass of European house crickets clings to a maze of meshed cardboard in a tent about the size of a minivan. They are inside their new home, an abandoned warehouse in Youngstown, Ohio, where they will prosper until being killed, ground into “flour” and baked into cookies and tortilla chips.

Forty years ago this would have been the opening of a monster movie. Now it’s the result of a Kickstarter project to create environmentally sound foods… because cows emit too many greenhouse gasses compared to insects.

There’s just one problem. Bugs are disgusting, in more ways than the obvious. On Kickstarter, Six Foods promised to feed their bugs “organic” food. But it may not be that easy.

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) says it doesn’t know of any relevant legislation that covers the production of insects as human food, which makes farming them a risky business.

This results in some legal quirks. “You are not allowed to slaughter your animal on the farm,” says Arnold Van Huis, an entomologist at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and one of the authors on the UN report. “Because insects are animals they are subject to the same legislation. You need a separate slaughterhouse, which is totally crazy.”

Or a really big flyswatter.

Kevin Bachhuber, who founded Big Cricket Farms, as it isn’t subject to the same level of scrutiny as food destined for people. This means there is a lack of transparency as to what the insects are being fed. “Some of those places are feeding their insects gone-off dog food, and that’s obviously not OK for human consumption,” he says.

Neither are bugs.

Even a whiff of a problem, like a food-borne illness caused by eating insects, would be a disaster. “It would tank our entire newborn industry,” says Bachhuber.

Sure, you wouldn’t want anything else to put people off eating bugs.

The UN report that this real life horror movie is based on accused Westerners of being racist for not eating bugs. Sadly the UN delegates have yet to sample what they would like the poors to eat.

Instead they made do with, “Sugar Cane Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, Skillet Seared Atlantic Salmon, New Zealand Rack of Lamb, Roasted Loin of Lamb, Crispy Red Snapper with Langoustine and Medallion of Filet Mignon.”

And who thought up bug chips?

Laura D’Asaro, an African Studies major, Rose Wang, a Psychology major and Meryl Natow, an MFA student in Design for Social Innovation at the School of Visual Arts.

In other words, liberal unemployables.

Yes, yes. Sure we’ll have to eat our dead. Fortunately we still have plenty of corpses left over from the 70s when most of the planet starved to death… according to Paul Ehrlich.

“The battle to feed all of humanity is over. In the 1970s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now. At this late date nothing can prevent a substantial increase in the world death rate,” he said. He predicted four billion deaths, including 65 million Americans.”

I’m being told that despite the consensus of 97 percent of scientists… this did not actually happen.

“By the year 2000 the United Kingdom will be simply a small group of impoverished islands, inhabited by some 70 million hungry people … If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.”

Again, despite the 97 percent consensus, it appears that England still exists. Also most of its population has not starved to death.

But don’t worry. Good times are coming. According to Paul, we’ll all have to eat our dead. Yes, that includes you.

Ehrlich, a Stanford University biologist famous for his widely debunked book “The Population Bomb,” doubled down on his fear-mongering with HuffPost Live. Ehrlich blamed Republicans and the media for failing to take action.

He accused “every state legislature” of waging a “war on women” and a “war on the environment.” Ehrlich viciously attacked pro-life Americans, somehow accusing them of “trying to kill women by making abortion illegal.” Instead, he called for “backup abortions” for any woman who’s birth control failed, in an attempt to control “breeding,” as he put it.

Ehrlich told Zepps humans must soon begin contemplating “eat[ing] the bodies of your dead” after resources are depleted.

That’s it. Either we’ll mandate abortions or have to eat corpses. Quickly rush to the store and buy as much as you can. By tomorrow there may be nothing left to eat except corpses.

Stop doubting. 97 percent of scientists agree that we’ll all have to eat Fair Trade organic corpses. Anyone who doesn’t believe that is a Creationist lunatic who hates science.

Alternatively, environmentalism is a doomsday cult that claims to be a science. Its leading figures are complete lunatics who make ridiculous predictions to push a political ideology.

He acknowledges that his goal is to keep America from becoming energy independent.

Call it the new Abscam. The James O’Keefe Green edition. Hollywood’s anti-American celebs, directors and producers insist that they’re really patriots. But would they have any problems taking money from a Muslim figure associated with a Middle Eastern oil country to undermine energy independence in the United States?

Does Al Gore live in a giant mansion?

Journalist James O’Keefe, known for his controversial undercover sting operations aimed usually at liberals — is set to unveil at the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday the first of a group of videos that he says will reveal hypocrisy among Hollywood environmentalists.

In the video, obtained exclusively by The Hollywood Reporter and embedded below, actors Ed Begley Jr. and Mariel Hemingway are duped by a man named “Muhammad,” who is looking to make an anti-fracking movie while hiding that its funding is coming from Middle Eastern oil interests.

Muhammad, accompanied by a man pretending to be an ad executive, seemingly has the two actors agreeing to participate in the scheme, even after he acknowledges that his goal is to keep America from becoming energy independent. The meeting, which appears to have been secretly recorded, took place a few months ago at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

But the real target of the sting operation appears to be Josh and Rebecca Tickell, a husband and wife team known for their environmental movies, such as 2008′s Fuel, which won an award at Sundance and was later screened at the White House for members of President Obama’s administration.

Begley and Hemingway are of course belatedly claiming that they knew it was a scam all along and were only doing a favor for the Tickells.

Hemingway says she played along to avoid ruining things for her friend Tickell. “I was polite because I knew it meant so much to Josh,” she recalls. “I didn’t go after him and say ‘you’re a fraud.’”

In an on-camera Fox News interview Tuesday night, Hemingway criticized O’Keefe’s tactics, saying he purports to expose dishonesty yet sets up a taped meeting with an impersonator: “That’s not dishonest?”

If Hemingway knew Muhammad was a fraud, what was she afraid of ruining? And it doesn’t seem like she understands the concept of a hidden camera investigation.

A spokesman for Tickell, Jonathan Franks, adds: “We flat out deny any implication of impropriety. This tape reflects a very preliminary meeting with a potential investor … Clearly a necessary part of the due diligence process would have been to examine the motives of any potential investor, but we flat out reject as flawed the notion being of Middle Eastern origin necessarily disqualifies one as an investor.”

Sure. Or admitting to working to undermine the American economy. Tickell accepted serving the interests of an enemy of the United States.

No impropriety to see here.
