The Politics of Hope and Fear Revisited

My good friend Brian recently put together a very good video exposing Al Gore’s utter hypocrisy. It pretty clearly shows that Gore’s a fake and a political opportunist of the worst kind.
The video particularly focuses on his position on outsourcing, and starts out by looking at his position in the 1993 NAFTA debate and the [...]

From the Pen of David Horowitz: December 22, 2009

fifty years ago this spring, Jackie Robinson broke the color bar in baseball. The events that followed provide a lesson for Black History Month — which ends this week — that many civil rights leaders seem to have forgotten. Following Robinson’s historic breakthrough, as everybody knows, other black athletes followed his example and professional basketball [...]

News Flash: The Recession Is Over!

Larry Summers, the top White House economic adviser appeared Sunday on ABC’s ”This Week” and informed the nation that,

“Everybody agrees the recession is over.”

Injecting a cautionary note, he intoned, it will take “substantial time” before the economy recovers entirely. But Summers says that,

“…what we can take satisfaction from is we’ve walked back from the brink.”

Whew! Obama [...]

David Brooks: The Hanukkah Story, NYTimes.com

Tonight Jewish kids will light the menorah, spin their dreidels and get their presents, but Hanukkah is the most adult of holidays. ABC’s Lone Moderate Voice Slams Obama’s Job Summit

-
In October 2008 – during the height of presidential election fervor – ABC contributor Michael S. Malone, a 30-year veteran in journalism, did something few in mainstream media dared to do – he blasted the media at large for blatant pro-Barack Obama coverage.
“The traditional media are playing a very, very dangerous game – with their [...]

Newsweek Talks About Sarah Palin – Sort Of

When it comes to talk of President Obama, Newsweek editor Evan Thomas couldn’t find his way out of a hyperbole bag with a map of moderation. He is completely, indisputably “in the bag” for Obama.
“I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God.”
– Newsweek’s Evan [...]
