Obama Has Just Made the Country a Lot Less Safe: Moving Gitmo Terrorists to Illinois

In one of his dumbest acts as President, Barack Obama will be taking some of the most hardened terror suspects being held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and transferring them to the currently abandoned Thomson Correctional Center in western Illinois.
As Amy Goodman describes it on Democracy Now!:
The Obama administration has confirmed plans for the eventual transfer of [...]

America’s Health Care Precipice

Barack Obama told the press today that the U.S. stood “on the precipice” of a health care bill.  Either the White House telepromter was on the blink today, or Obama, giddy from in his own in-house version of grade inflation, was so anxious to get that B+ he told Oprah he [...]

“…what we can take satisfaction from is we’ve walked back from the brink.”

Whew! Obama [...]

Peter Suderman: How the CBO became the biggest impediment to ObamaCare, Reason Magazine

It was January 2009, and Democrats were triumphant. Their party had won major victories in both the House and the Senate, and Barack Obama, arguably the most economically left-wing president in decades, had just won the White House on a promise to finally achieve what had eluded liberals for so long: universal health care. As […]

Apparently Nobody on the White House National Security Team Takes Meeting Minutes

For those of us concerned about President Barack Obama’s seriousness in prosecuting the War in Afghanistan, last night Sean Hannity offered a brand new cause for doubt – and it’s a doozy:
Video: Sean Hannity, 12/7/09

Hannity highlighted a Washington Post report recounting a jaw-dropping set of White House meetings with General Stanley McChrystal:
In June, McChrystal [...]
