But Ayaan Hirsi Ali declines to argue with the vice president.

The courageous ex-Muslim human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali recently recounted that at a speech in Washington not long ago, she met Vice President Joe Biden. Biden seized the opportunity to tell her that “ISIS had nothing to do with Islam.” Hirsi Ali politely disagreed, whereupon Biden began a lesson in the teachings of the Religion of Peace: “Let me tell you one or two things about Islam.”

Unfortunately, Hirsi Ali didn’t hear much of Imam Joe’s Islamic wisdom: “I politely left the conversation at that. I wasn’t used to arguing with vice presidents.”

This wasn’t just Joe being Joe, saying another foolish thing that, if he were a conservative Republican, would have ended his political career in an avalanche of ridicule long ago. For in confronting Hirsi Ali and assuming he knew more about Islam than she does, Biden was reflecting what virtually every policymaker in Washington believes – on both sides of the aisle.

Even though Ayaan Hirsi Ali was raised a Muslim in a Muslim country, and educated in Islam from an extremely early age, and despite the fact that Joe Biden has almost certainly never opened a Qur’an, Biden was sure that what she said about Islam must be wrong – it just had to be. Why? Because her opinion of the religion was negative, and the possibility that such a view could have any merit whatsoever is inconceivable in Washington circles. Those who hold it must be ignorant.

It’s almost certain that Biden would never have confronted Karen Armstrong in a similar way. If Biden is familiar with what Armstrong says about Islam, such as her world-historically ridiculous claim that “Muhammad eventually abjured violence and pursued a daring, inspired policy of non-violence that was worthy of Gandhi,” he would no doubt warmly approve and even applaud. This would not be because Armstrong has done more formal study of Islam than has Hirsi Ali – she hasn’t. Nor would it be because Imam Joe himself made a careful and judicious examination of Islamic texts and teachings, and came to the reasoned conclusion that Armstrong’s representation of Islam was more accurate and true to the ding an sich than Hirsi Ali’s.

On the contrary, Biden would favor Armstrong’s Islam over Hirsi Ali’s solely and wholly because the former confirms his view of the world and appears to bear out what he wishes were true, and the latter does not. This is likewise the stance of all of Biden’s colleagues in the Obama Administration. John Kerry, like Biden, confidently takes a stand on what he believes Islam is all about, based not on any study of his own or anyone else, but on what he wishes is true and hopes is true.

Indeed, on these fantasies are based numerous foreign and domestic policies. The idea that new Israeli concessions will end the Palestinian jihad against Israel and make possible a two-state solution with Israelis and Palestinians living side by side in peace is based on a determined refusal to consider the possibility that the Palestinians really mean the jihadist rhetoric that they pump out endlessly on official Palestinian Authority and Hamas airwaves about destroying Israel utterly.

The idea that stable, secular, Western-oriented republics could ever have been constructed in Afghanistan or Iraq was based on a refusal to confront what Sharia really is and to study the degree to which the populations in both countries were attached to it. Ultimately, the United States oversaw the adoption of Constitutions in both countries that enshrined Sharia as the highest law of the land – something that would never have been done had not Washington policymakers been listening to smooth apologists who assured them that Sharia was benign and completely compatible with republican government and Western principles of human rights.

Those policymakers are still entrenched, despite their abysmal track record. There is no accountability for them, for those who would hold them accountable believe in the same fantasies that led to the policy errors. Joe Biden’s interaction with Ayaan Hirsi Ali played out with dreary predictability: it was inevitable that Biden would think his fantasies and wishful thinking to be defensible, established fact, and unthinkable that he would regard the judgment of a Somali ex-Muslim woman with unconscious ethnocentric and chauvinistic paternalism: she is just wounded by her anomalous experiences, he might have thought to himself, while Joe Biden – Joe Biden! – man of the world, savvy political thinker, diplomat, statesman, and humorist, would gently and affably set her straight, and introduce her to the pluralistic open-mindedness that are the hallmarks of what make us great in the West.

That open-mindedness, that openness to non-Western cultures and people, the linchpin of the multiculturalist imperative, is what Biden and Kerry treasure so much and are trying to protect when they assure the world that Islam is a religion of peace and that those who commit violence in its name are violating its core principles. But even as they preen about their open-mindedness, Biden and Kerry and the rest are actually quite close-minded. When he heard Ayaan Hirsi Ali speak, Biden had an opportunity to hear truths that existed outside of his habits of thought. A truly open-minded person would have adjusted his thinking to fit reality.

Instead, Biden placed himself in the preposterous position of attempting to lecture an ex-Muslim, someone who had once revered the Qur’an and studied it deeply, about the true tenets of Islam. In this latest exercise in making himself ridiculous, Biden is a symbol of the entire Western world, staking its life and future on fantasy and wishful thinking. In response to his foolish nonsense, Ayaan Hirsi Ali was polite. If they ever encounter Biden face to face, those pious believers in Islam who know that what she says about their religion is accurate, and hate her for revealing it, will be substantially less so.

Biden criticized expansion of Jewish settlements “in the West Bank and East Jerusalem”

Qatar is certainly good at influence spending. Maybe Biden is hoping that some of those dirty oil billions can find their way to his presidential campaign.

Appearing at the Brookings Institution’s Saban Forum, Joe Biden accused Israel of collective punishment and came out against sanctions on Iran.

While the Saban Forum is linked to a top Jewish Dem donor, Brookings’ was revealed to have come under the influence of heavy funding from Qatar. Qatar is a state sponsor of such terrorist groups as Hamas and ISIS.

While Brookings said its personnel were “not influenced by the views of our funders,” in 2012, The Times noted, the Qatari foreign ministry said that – thanks to a new accord with the institute, “the center will assume its role in reflecting the bright image of Qatar in the international media, especially the American ones.”

Hamas chief Khaled Meshaal, who lives in the Qatari capital, Doha, said on Aug 21, that “Our relationship with Qatar is not new… We appreciate Qatar’s stand, the brave political stand of its government and people.”

Biden urged the attendees not to make too much of the ugly relationship between Obama and Israel, calling them “normal disagreements.” That’s also the official line held to by Hillary Clinton in her remarks.

While reciting the usual boilerplate about Israeli security and another empty promise to prevent Iran from going nuclear, even as it’s doing so, he warned that sanctions on Iran would “lose the leverage we have to reach a good agreement”.

That’s quite a turnaround from when the official narrative was that sanctions were leverage.

Biden dragged out his old “malarkey” line, but the only malarkey is believing that after the collapse of the talks, Iran’s gloating and the extension, that there is any serious commitment to stopping Iran from going nuclear.

Meanwhile Obama’s people have refused to deny reports of sanctions being planned against Israel.

Vice President Joe Biden called on Israel to stop the demolition of homes of terrorists’ families, which he described as “collective punishment.” Biden also criticized expansion of Jewish settlements “in the West Bank and East Jerusalem” and called on the government to do more to stop “vigilante justice” attacks against Palestinians.

Biden actually co-sponsored bills recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Now he adopted the racist rhetoric of referring to Jews living in one of the oldest cities in the world as living in settlements.

Joe Biden visited Turkey and they weren’t exactly happy to see him. But then again they’re Turks. They’re not exactly happy to see anyone.

About 300 people have protested U.S. Vice President Joe Biden’s visit to Turkey, chanting: “Biden get out. This country is ours.”

The demonstration occurred on the European side of Istanbul on Saturday, as Biden was on his way to a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the Asian side of the city.

Biden didn’t see the protest, which was organized by the Youth Association of Turkey, the same group that roughed up three U.S. Navy sailors while chanting “Yankee, go home!” a week ago in Istanbul.

Then Joe went to Ukraine and…. still no luck.

Joe Biden retreats from angry crowd in Ukraine

Vice President Joseph R. Biden retreated from an angry crowd in Kiev Friday when his Secret Service agents decided the situation was not safe.

According to a pool reporter traveling with Mr. Biden, the Secret Service “decided [it] wasn’t a good idea for Biden to wade in” to the crowd.

“A crowd of about 100, mostly elderly men and women, had gathered around a collection of photographs, placed on the ground in front of a large wooden cross,” the pool report said. “These, they said, were pictures of their slain children.”

It no doubt took extraordinary measures to get Joe Biden away from a crowd, any crowd. What a waste of his new hairplugs.

But at least the good news is that some people around the world recognize him. That’s more than can be said for most Americans.

Joe Biden is a Patriot. He watches all their games on television.

Joe Biden is a Patriot. He watches all their games on television. He really cares about all of America’s fighting men and women. Especially the ones high on cocaine sired by him. The first thing he does every morning, before putting on his face, is get an exact count of them all.

Because that’s just how much he cares. Or his speechwriter does. but then the teleprompter missed a number and it all went to hell.

Vice President Joe Biden misstated the number of troops wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan by 47,000 at a Veterans Day event today at Arlington National Cemetary.

“Every day for the last six years, I ask my staff early in the morning to contact the Department of Defense to get a detailed report of the number of troops deployed, the number wounded, and the number killed. Not a general number; the exact number every day,” said the vice president. “Because for every one of those warriors there’s an entire family, extended family, back in America that has bled or is bleeding.”

Biden continued, “As of this morning, U.S. troops died in Iraq and Afghanistan: 6,703; troops wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan: 5,168.”

In fact, 52,168 troops have been wounded in these wars.

Maybe he just stole Neil Kinnock’s notes and meant British wounded? It’s happened with Joe before.

No nuclear Holocaust or your money back. Uncle Joe Biden pinky swears. He’s putting his 42-year reputation on the line during which he was wrong about every major issue. Including Iran.

But this time he won’t be wrong. And if he is, then oops.

Vice President Joe Biden sought to smooth over U.S.-Israeli relations Monday in an address to the the Jewish Federations of North America.

Biden joked that he once signed a picture for “Bibi” that said, “I don’t agree with a damn thing you say, but I love ya.”

“We really are good friends,” Biden said of their relationship. “He has been a great, great friend.”

Biden needed to repeat that a few more times because it sounded unconvincing the first thirty times he said it.

“Were there not an Israel, US would have to invent one. We will never ever abandon Israel – out of our own self interest,” he said.

I don’t know what that sentence means and I’m afraid to find out.

How does one go about inventing an ancient country and a people… and then bringing them into being today? Then again that same exact process worked with “Palestine”.

“I have heard so much malarkey about our position on Iran,” Biden said. “We will not let Iran acquire a nuclear weapon, period. I would not put my 42-year reputation on the line if I were not certain when I say it. We mean it.”

Speaking of “malarkey” and Biden’s 42-year reputation

In 1979 Senator Biden shared President Jimmy Carter’s belief that the fall of the Shah in Iran and the advent of Ayatollah Khomeini’s rule represented progress for human rights in that country. Throughout the ensuing 444-day hostage crisis, during which Khomeini’s extremist acolytes routinely paraded the blindfolded American captives in front of television cameras and threatened them with execution, Biden opposed strong action against the mullahs and called for dialogue.

But then again Biden denounced Bush I for dialogue with China.

“President Bush and Secretary Baker have been seeking to engage the world’s last major Communist regime…. it is a regime marked by brutality at home and irresponsibility abroad, and it is a regime the United States should now cease to court.”

Let’s recap. Engaging China bad. Engaging Iranian terrorists good.

Except when Biden is engaging China on behalf of Hollywood.

During a luncheon two years ago in Los Angeles, Vice President Biden convinced China’s vice president to agree to a deal that would unlock new fortunes for Hollywood. Biden asked Xi Jinping to relax China’s quota of allowing only 20 foreign films to be shown at a time and to increase distribution fees for Hollywood firms.

That’s Joe. Always a man of principle. And his reputation is worth as much as his principles.

Obama angrily cut Biden off,

It’s a sad state of affairs when Joe Biden appears to have more patience and diplomatic skills than the guy who kept billing himself as a reasonable apolitical common sense guy.

President Obama and Vice President Biden might not see eye-to-eye on immigration strategy. A hint of an apparent disagreement was on display during Obama’s lunch with congressional leaders on Friday at the White House.

“The meeting was tense at times, according to a senior House Republican aide. The aide was not authorized to describe the back-and-forth publicly by name and spoke only on condition of anonymity,” the Associated Press reports.

“Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, about to lose his grip on the upper chamber, barely said a word. The aide said at one point as House Speaker John Boehner was making an argument on immigration, Obama responded that his patience was running out and Vice President Joe Biden interrupted to ask how long Republicans needed. Obama angrily cut Biden off, the aide said.”

Obama is making it clear that he’s not even going to bother playing out a GOP bill beyond a few basic formalities. He lost and now he has nothing to lose and is moving full speed ahead for amnesty.

Biden, for all his obnoxious habits, spent enough time in Congress that he understands negotiating with the other side. Obama spent very little time in Congress. He doesn’t know how to negotiate and doesn’t bother. He has only two modes. Appeasement and abuse. It’s very Middle Eastern in a way. He’s either appeasing you or stepping all over you.

Joe Biden has spoken. The Senate is safe.

You heard it here folks. Joe Biden has spoken. The Senate is safe. For Republicans.

Vice President Joe Biden isn’t buying the growing consensus heading into Election Day that Republicans are poised to take control of the Senate.

“I don’t agree with the oddsmakers,” Biden said in an exclusive interview with CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger. “I predict we’re gonna … keep the Senate.”

And you don’t want to bet against the only Senate Dem to actually lose money despite being ridiculously corrupt.

In the more immediate future, Biden said he didn’t see the White House changing how it does business if the GOP wins the Senate majority.

“We have to be more direct and clear about exactly what it is we’re looking to do,” he said. “And look, we’re — we’re ready to compromise.” he said.

To recap…

1. The Dems will hold the Senate

2. Biden is ready to compromise

3. By compromise, Biden means the same unilateral illegal executive actions as before.

Though Biden wouldn’t say whether he would run for president, he made clear that he wouldn’t base the decision on Clinton’s plans.

“That’s not the reason not to run or to run,” he told Borger. “The question is … am I convinced I am best positioned of anyone else to lead the country the next four years?”

Does anyone besides Biden believe that he can lead the country anywhere… except to the circus?

Where does the young vote go? It's going to Joe Biden.

One of the interesting things about the Marist-McClatchy poll is that while Hillary enjoys presumptive nominee status among Democrats, she’s barely hanging on to above 50% among the 18-29 crowd.

Hillary does best with voters in their forties and fifties. She does poorly with younger voters and is shaky among soft Democrats.

Wealthier Democrats are slightly likelier to support Hillary. (Not shocking, she is one of them. And she may have helped make them rich.)

Non-college grads are slightly less likelier to support Hillary Clinton than college grads. Unmarried voters are much less likely to support her than married voters.

Where does the young vote go? You might think it’s going to Elizabeth Warren, presumably because of her Socialism and her talk about student loans. But nope.

It’s going to Joe Biden.

Why Joe Biden? Good question. You could blame name recognition, but it’s not like Hillary Clinton is obscure. Biden is an idiot, but he is capable of hogging the spotlight and being “interesting”.

Either way 21% of young Democrats would go for Biden. Only 52% would go for Hillary. It’s not about to stop her campaign, but it’s something that Democrats might want to think about.

Joe Biden is continuing his "Apology Across the Middle East" tour.

Joe Biden is continuing his “Apology Across the Middle East” tour. Next stop is Saudi Arabia.

Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. has one more stop on what has become a Middle East apology tour in the wake of his impolitic answer to a Harvard student’s question: Saudi Arabia.

After apologizing to officials from Turkey and the United Arab Emirates over the weekend, Mr. Biden is trying to connect with Saudi leaders, a senior official said, to clarify that he did not mean to suggest that Saudi Arabia backed Al Qaeda or other extremist groups in Syria.

The vice president’s troubles began Thursday when he declared, in a question-and-answer session at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, that the biggest problem the United States faced in dealing with Syria and the rise of the Islamic State was America’s allies in the region.

Turkey, Mr. Biden said, has admitted allowing foreign fighters to cross into Syria, while Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia funneled weapons and other aid to Syrian rebels that ended up in the hands of Al Nusra, Al Qaeda and other extremist groups.

The White House expressed relief on Monday over Mr. Biden’s apologies, with the press secretary, Josh Earnest, noting that “the vice president is somebody who has enough character to admit when he’s made a mistake.” But asked repeatedly about the substance of his remarks, Mr. Earnest did not say the vice president was wrong.

Obviously he wasn’t wrong, though he certainly didn’t tell the whole truth either. The question is why is Biden even doing this?

He’s the VP in a lame duck administration which is already semi-committed to backing Hillary in 2016. It’s not like Obama is going to kick him off the ticket. So what is he even afraid of? Telling a little bit of truth might actually make some voters like him. A round of apologies won’t.

Obama is forcing Biden to humiliate himself to appease Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Turkey with which the US already has bad relations with, but which currently need US help. So why even bother? The Saudis are not going to pull out of the coalition because Biden badmouths them. Any power player on the international scene already knows not to pay any attention to him.

It’s unnecessary appeasement. But that’s Obama’s foreign policy in a nutshell.

Under the Islamist AKP, Turkey has become a state sponsor of terror. Its links to ISIS are the worst kept secret in the region as ISIS fighters treat Turkey as a gateway to the ISIS Jihad.

But Biden made the mistake of quoting Erdogan and had to apologize for it.

Vice President Biden on Saturday apologized to Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for saying the Turkish leader admitted his country made mistakes by allowing foreign fighters to cross into Syria.

Biden spoke directly to Erdogan to “clarify” comments made on Thursday at Harvard University and apologized for “any implication” that Turkey or other allies had intentionally supplied or helped in the growth of the Islamic State or other extremists groups in Syria, the White House said.

Erdogan denied making such remarks and said Biden would become “history to me” over the comments at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, in Cambridge, Mass., unless he fixed the situation.

Biden on Thursday also described Erdogan as “an old friend” but suggested he said privately: “You were right. We let too many people through.”

Erdogan also said: “I have never said to (Biden) that we had made a mistake, never. If he did say this…, then he has to apologize to us.

“Foreign fighters have never entered Syria from our country. They may come to our country as tourists and cross into Syria, but no one can say that they cross in with their arms.”

That’s what they call plausible deniability. But it’s telling that Biden had to apologize to Erdogan, a murderous thug who casually kills his own people and talks about ethnically cleansing Armenians.

Meanwhile Biden felt free to stand up Netanyahu during his visit to Israel and then break a plaque and an apology was demanded from Netanyahu for insulting Biden… by building Jewish houses.

The Israel Lobby? Try the Turkey Lobby.

Is Joe Biden technically ever not on vacation? His administration duties consist of visiting places Obama doesn’t want to go. Occasionally he’s dragged out to deliver a speech attacking Republicans over green jobs or birth control. Or green birth control.

And then he goes back on vacation.

The Bidens are arriving today in the Hamptons to start their third vacation in a month.

“Vice President Joe Biden is arriving to spend a week in the Southampton area before leaving next Tuesday,” News12 reports. “Biden lands in Westhampton this morning. It’s not known if he’ll meet up with two other big Democrats staying in the Hamptons this week. Hillary and Bill Clinton are already in Amagansett.”

Last week the Bidens were in Wyoming for another vacation. “It’s summer vacation time for the vice president,” USA Today reported on August 7.

“Joe Biden and wife Jill began some time off Thursday in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, his office said, and will be there through Monday.”

The week before that one, the Bidens vacationed in Rehoboth Beach.

Not bad for a man with no savings account.

“Don’t hold it against me that I don’t own a single stock or bond,” Biden said. “I have no savings account but I got a great pension and I got a good salary. For real.”

But Biden’s financial disclosure for the year 2013, which was filed last month, shows that he has both a savings account and 11 different investment funds.

Poor Joe. He’s just a working class joe. Who takes three vacations a month. Like the rest of us.

Wait. How did Joe Biden suddenly becomes the most truthful member of Obama Inc?

On Wednesday, in remarks before a group of activists, Biden said the violence in Central America, is “bad, but nothing’s changed. Nothing’s changed in six months or a year, the neighborhoods are no more violent or less violent.”

Biden argued, “What’s happened is a group of folks got together and decided that there’s a hell of a good way to make money. You just don’t transfer drugs, give me $5,600 and I’ll take your baby to the border, and your baby’s going to be home free.”

And, “Something has happened beyond the fact that there’s utter despair. That despair existed a year ago and 18 months ago.” In particular, Biden blamed “false information” for the influx of illegal immigrants.

Like the false information that if the DREAMERS come, Obama will let them all stay. It’s so false that it’s true. It must be accurate, but fake.

Can Democrats running in 2016 give the fake class warfare a rest? First Hillary claimed that she left the White House broke (and bought two mansions) and that after making $100 million she’s not truly well off.

Now, never one to let his foot leave his mouth for too long, Joe Biden had to jump in and cry poverty.

Hoping to establish credibility with the audience, which was gathered to discuss ways to improve working conditions for working families, Biden reminded people that he used to be the poorest member in Congress (in reality, the poorest member of the Senate) even though he now makes “a lot of money” as vice president ($230,700) and had “a mildly expensive suit on” for the event.

CBS describes that as “understated his personal financial situation just a tad”. Lying like crazy might be more accurate.

This isn’t the first time Joe Biden pretended to be middle class… because he only makes around $400k a year.

Biden suggested Tuesday in remarks to the National Council of La Raza in Las Vegas, puts him squarely in the middle class:

“For middle class folks like me and most of you, owning a home is maybe the single most consequential element of our existence to be able to provide for our families.”

Sure, sure. Biden is just getting by.

In Philadelphia on Wednesday, Biden stoked passive-aggressive resentment of the 1 percenters. “The wealthy,” he sniveled. “God bless ‘em,” he snarked. “I wish my kids would become wealthy,” he sighed.

Meanwhile here’s what some of Poor Joe’s even poorer relations have been up to.

Hunter Biden now fronts Eudora Global, “a uniquely organized growth and acquisition firm focused on purchasing and accelerating the development of high potential enterprises in industries that meet its selective investment profile.”

James Biden isn’t a big name in the business of residential housing development, so what exactly qualifies him to work at a construction company and share in the winnings of a $1.5 billion project to build affordable homes in Iraq?

Vice President Joe Biden’s brother and son ran a fund of hedge funds marketed by companies controlled by disgraced Texas billionaire R. Allen Stanford, who faces massive fraud accusations, the Wall Street Journal reports.

The $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Biden family’s Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and a Stanford Financial Group entity and was called the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund, according to the report published Monday in the Wall Street Journal.

No stocks and bonds to see here. Just middle class folks.

Remember how Obama was going to fix our “breakdown” in relations with other countries. By other countries he meant the Taliban and the Muslim brotherhood.

It’s not entirely worthless. Sometimes Joe Biden stops by for a photo op. Just don’t count on missile defense or any kind of defense.

According to a transcript of excerpts of the conversation that was published by Wprost on its Internet site, Sikorski told Rostowski: “You know that the Polish-U.S. alliance isn’t worth anything.”

“It is downright harmful because it creates a false sense of security … Complete bullshit. We’ll get in conflict with the Germans, Russians and we’ll think that everything is super because we gave the Americans a blow job. Losers. Complete losers.”

According to the transcript, Sikorski described Warsaw’s attitude towards the United States using the Polish word “murzynskosc.”

That derives from the word “murzyn,” which denotes a dark-skinned person and someone who does the work for somebody else, according to the PWN Polish language dictionary.

Putin is certainly having fun. So is Obama. But for rather different reasons. Meanwhile countries in the region have a choice between the Russian yoke or a photo op with Joe Biden.

Joe Biden is a real Renaissance Man. And if he has to turn into a Cherokee woman to have a shot against Hillary, he will do it.

Vice President Joe Biden appeared at a closed-door fundraiser in South Carolina on Friday, where he took a shot at former President Bill Clinton’s tenure, according to a CNN report.

Mr. Biden gave what one attendee called “an Elizabeth Warren-type speech,” focusing mostly on the economic woes of the middle class. But one of his most notable comments came when he set his sights on the latter half of Mr. Clinton’s presidency.

Mr. Biden said the fraying of middle-class economic security did not begin during President George W. Bush’s terms, but earlier, in the “later years of the Clinton administration,” CNN reported, citing three sources.

So who was the target audience for Biden’s speech on the woes of the middle class?

“He said we have some of the most productive workers in the world, but corporations are more concerned about their stockholders than they are about their employees,” one attendee said. “He talked about how the fruits of labor go to stockholders, rather than to the people who are producing it. That the people making the money in this country are the corporations.”

He spoke for more than 30 minutes at the fundraiser, stepping away from the podium and delivering remarks while standing among the “mostly VIP crowd” of prominent local attorneys, Democratic activists and a range of current and former elected officials.

So… a politician who has never worked for a living delivered a speech about the woes of the middle class… to a room full of politicians who have never worked for a living.

It’s not just a joke. It’s also the Democratic Party.

Can we talk about how much of the fruits of the labor go to parasites like these?

Biden touted the Obama administration’s record on the economy, multiple Democrats in the room told CNN, but he also painted a picture of a middle class still struggling while the nation’s top earners continue to line their pockets.

The Vice President by the way makes $230,000. His job consists of doing nothing except lining his pockets.

What do you expect? He’s only the VP. The guy who will step in if Barack trips over his telepromoter. He doesn’t matter nearly as much as Michelle.

The White House has been tight-lipped about the cost of First Lady Michelle Obama’s trip to China, but based on the choice for lodging, it could be considerable. Mrs. Obama and her entourage, which numbers seventy according to the Washington Times (including her two daughters and her mother), booked the Westin Chaoyang Hotel close to the U.S. embassy in Beijing for their first stop. According to USA Today, the presidential suite at the hotel is listed as $8,400 per night.

But when Vice President Joe Biden visited China in December 2013, he and his team stayed at the St. Regis Hotel after the contracting officer responsible for booking rooms determined that the Westin Chaoyang hotel “price was prohibitive when compared with St. Regis.”

That has to make Biden feel good knowing that not only is Obama working to move Hillary into the White House, but that while the Obamas never deny themselves anything at taxpayer expense, they decided to subject Joe to a little austerity.

And even the luxury hotel still isn’t good enough for Michelle Obama’s mother.

The sumptuous pad at the Westin Beijing Chaoyang hotel – its website calls the room ‘an oasis of comfort – is a 3,400-square-foot masterpiece including a private steam room, ‘corner sofas with silk pillows,’ and in-room dining for six.

But the Obamas’ stay has already affected staff and guests at the hotel, with the Westin front-desk veteran alleging that Mrs. Obama’s mother Marian Robinson has been ‘barking at the staff since she arrived.’

Aren’t you glad that you have to work to subsidize Marian’s posh vacation which she still thinks isn’t good enough for her?

What message is Obama sending to Poland by dispatching a notorious liar?

It’s no secret that Joe Biden likes to make things up. Or take large pieces of a British politician’s biography and try to pass it off as his own.

Biden is a compulsive liar. If you ask him to fill five minutes, he’ll do it by claiming to have invented the internet, cold fusion and perpetual motion.

No sooner did Obama send Biden to reassure Poland, than Biden followed up by telling more crazy lies.

Vice President Joe Biden wandered a little off course on a trip down memory lane today.

“Fifteen years ago, I was honored, as the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, to lead the fight for Poland’s admission into NATO,” Biden said in Warsaw during a visit designed to reassure America’s Eastern European allies in the wake of Russia’s move to take control of Crimea.

The only problem: Biden wasn’t chairman back then.

It was Sen. Jesse Helms, a North Carolina Republican, who guided the committee and launched the floor debate on granting NATO accession to Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Biden did lead minority Democrats in approving the treaty resolution, after having initially expressed doubts about the political viability of expanding NATO.

“If we are really going to alienate the Russians,” Biden asked in January 1997, according to New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, “what are we going to get for it?”

Bloomberg calls this a gaffe, but the technical term is lie.

Biden is making up something that never happened while shifting his position from skeptical supporter to enthusiastic proponent.

If Mitt Romney had given a speech in which he claimed to have been Governor of New York during September 11, the media wouldn’t be calling it a gaffe. They would be calling it an outrageous lie.

What message is Obama sending to Poland by dispatching a notorious liar to provide security reassurances for them?

I’m not sure what the message is. I hope he didn’t give it to Biden or it’s lost forever.

But I’m sure Putin is intimidated now that we sent our village idiot to Poland to reassure them that we won’t abandon them like we did in Ukraine. (No, we will.)

Joe Biden Lands in Poland to Send ‘Message’ to Vladimir Putin

Biden plans to deliver “the message of strong reassurance and support for the security of our NATO allies,” a senior administration official told reporters Monday.

And nothing says strong reassurance like sending the most expendable member of our government to deliver a speech.

With limited options, the United States was seeking ways to show it won’t stand idly by as Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a treaty for the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea to join Russia. So far, Putin has been undeterred by sanctions and visa bans levied by the U.S. and the European Union, and there’s no U.S. appetite for military intervention.

So the only answer is… more sanctions. They’ve never worked, but this time is bound to be different.

Joe Biden warned Russia on Tuesday that the U.S. and Europe will impose further sanctions as Moscow moved to annex part of Ukraine.

Then Joe Biden turned to his weakest point. Logic.

“Russia has offered a variety of arguments to justify what is nothing more than a land grab, including what he said today,” Biden said in Poland, which shares a border with both Russia and Ukraine. “But the world has seen through Russia’s actions and has rejected the flawed logic behind those actions.”

Now that the flawed logic is rejected, the problem is solved. All Putin has to do is realize that his logic is flawed and all the soldiers will leave.

In a clear warning to Moscow not to test other nations along its border, Biden said the U.S. commitment to defending its NATO allies is “ironclad.”

Absolutely. Unless something changes.

Vice President Joseph R. Biden promised Poland and the Baltic states on Tuesday that the United States would protect them from any Russian aggression similar to what has taken place in Crimea.

You know how we didn’t protect Ukraine or even agree to give it any weapons? We totally won’t treat you that way.

Mr. Obama has also stepped up his engagement, speaking recently to Prime Minister Tusk. He interrupted a recent golf weekend in Florida to hold a conference call with the three Baltic leader.

Interrupted a golfing weekend? Now that’s commitment.

Joe Biden still thinks he has presidential prospects. So do Dennis Kucinich and John Kerry. I’m not sure which of them is more delusional.

There was an apparent dust-up between the offices of Vice President Joe Biden and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the hours leading up to today’s denied vote of Barack Obama’s choice to head up the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, Debo Adegbile. Controversy surrounded Adegbile over his advocacy of convicted cop killer, Mumia Abu-Jamal.

It’s my understanding that initially, Vice President Biden was happy to be there for the potential tie-breaking vote, hoping it would give him a nice little PR bump. Late yesterday though, his staff began voicing concerns that if he were to be the one to secure the nomination of a man who willingly tried to free a known cop killer, it could have serious political repercussions on a potential 2016 presidential run.

This paranoia festered well into last night, and got so bad, at least one of Biden’s top staff was convinced the whole thing was a ploy hatched by the Clintons to trap Biden into being the deciding vote that took place today.

This comes from the Ulsterman Report so your mileage may vary on whether it actually happened, but Capitol Hill gossip in the mainstream media consists of the same helping of anonymous sources. And the scenario is reasonably plausible. Biden is focused on 2016 and he’s coming out of an administration with even less to show for it than Hillary.

If Biden should have been angry at anyone, it was Obama who insisted on pushing ahead with the vote even though Reid had already told them that the votes weren’t there. In the process, Obama only succeeded in damaging those Dem Senators who backed him up.

This was the point where Harry Reid should have told Obama to back off because nothing was being accomplished anyway.

White House officials said they believed until Tuesday night that the nomination would succeed, a vote count by Senate Democratic leaders that proved disastrously wrong. Top aides to Mr. Obama were “furious” at the Democratic senators who voted against Mr. Adegbile, one senior official said.

Senior congressional Democrats were incredulous about the White House’s surprise. Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader, called Mr. McDonough at 10 p.m. Tuesday to inform him the votes were not there because at least one Democrat had switched and would vote no. He made the same call Wednesday morning, also informing the attorney general. The White House and Senate leaders pressed forward anyway.

After the vote, Mr. Obama issued a statement calling the vote a “travesty” and saying that those who voted him down had “denied the American people an outstanding public servant.”

Obama doesn’t take defeat well. He threw a public tantrum when Rice was kept from becoming Secretary of State. And he insisted on childishly playing out a losing hand.

The Democrats have no congressional leadership. Pelosi and Reid are running jokes. The media myth is that Congress is dysfunctional because of the Tea Party. The truth is that it’s largely dysfunctional because of Harry Reid.

Reid is willing to throw his weight around in the Senate, but can’t stand up to a petty Center for American Progress apparatchik like McDonough.
