Conservatives like Bill Kristol and John McCain still don’t ‘get’ the defense budget. Nor do they understand 21st Century U.S. military requirements. McCain actually wants to cut the defense spending. Kristol wants to increase defense spending, but doesn’t understand what that the new money must be spent on. Both Kristol and McCain, moreover, lack strategic vision. And both contribute to the failure of strategic vision that is now endemic on the Right.
Obama Needs to Stop Blaming Arizona for the Federal Government’s Failure to Deal with Illegal Immigration
Is 2006 really that long ago? Have we forgotten everything we learned? Do we no longer remember the McCain-Kennedy immigration legislation?
President Obama seems to have forgotten that America already rose up en masse once within the last decade to thwart the misguided attempts of the federal government to provide what was tantamount to amnesty for [...]
Is Rand Paul Israel’s Ally? Calvin Freiburger asked this yesterday in light of a recently published statement sent to AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) by Dr. Rand Paul. Paul is currently seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for the Kentucky Senate Seat and is campaigning under suspicion of sharing his father, Congressman Ron Paul’s, Anti-Semitic [...]
I’m going to re-visit a speech made in February of this year by U.S. Army Retired Lt. Colonel Allen West at Pamela Geller’s and Robert Spencer’s Freedom Defense Initiative.
If you cannot stand straight talk, and I don’t mean that stuff that John McCain laid on us as straight talk in 2008 – I mean some [...]
To Pull or Not to Pull: MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Runs Clip of Sen. McCain Saying Its Time We Pulled the Trigger on Iran
I just caught the YouTube video of Sen. John McCain saying that it was time to pull the trigger on Iran. From the context, of course, McCain is merely saying that we need to impose strict sanctions on Iran – not that it is time to bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran.
Nevertheless, from the point of [...]
Magazine publisher shamelessly slams Palin on CNN.
Even today with anger at the Obama administration and Big Government sweeping the nation, there remain left-leaning, accomodationist, and politically tone-deaf Republican office holders who are quite happy to allow ObamaCare to destroy the foundations of the American republic.
W. James Antle III has an excellent piece in today’s American Spectator on the topic.
Well, that didn’t [...]
Jon Stewart went ballistic on Senator John McCain’s lack of a soul (from his point-of-view) last night on The Daily Show. I was going to write a rebuttal to this attack on McCain’s character, but I decided it’d be better to use it to lead into the next part in my George W. Obama series. [...]
Palin paid off whatever debt she might have owed John McCain during the 2008 presidential campaign. Why, then, is she supporting McCain’s reelection to the senate vice conservative challenger J.D. Hayworth?

Kudos to Daily Beast editor-in-chief Tina Brown for penning an anti-Sarah Palin tirade so vitriolic, I thought there had been a mix-up with her byline and Andrew Sullivan’s. Well, technically she’s blasting John McCain for allowing Palin to campaign for him, because…uh…it’s Sarah Palin, Personification of Evil! [...]
