Sarah Palin and the Feminist Revival

A month ago, The New Agenda called on Sarah Palin to embrace her gender in an op-ed at The Daily Beast. And did she ever.  Talk about stand and deliver!!!
Three days later, Palin was out stumping for Rep. Michele Bachmann, proclaiming: “Someone better tell Washington that that pink elephant is on the move…”  The [...]

Read My Lips: Christianity Does Not Teach Socialism

Hearing loss runs in our family. Two of my children, and three grandchildren have losses that range from a moderate loss to profoundly deaf. My oldest son has a “severe-moderate” loss, and learned to read lips early. You might be surprised to know that none of them consider themselves handicapped.
My oldest, as I mentioned, Chris, [...]

Taking Feminism Back: Sarah Palin Endorses Nikki Haley for SC Governor

Today, in Columbia, South Carolina, two of the women who are showing America what real feminism is, will appear together, at which time Sarah Palin will officially endorse Nikki Haley for South Carolina Governor. I had the honor of meeting Nikki Haley, and hearing her speak, in Atlanta at the Red State Gathering last Summer.
She’s [...]

Keith, Stick with the Hooker Jokes, I’m a Friend – Meltdown with Keith Olbermann Part 45

I used to think the subtitle of this series should be “We watch Olbermann so you don’t have to,” except, as the numbers demonstrate, you’re not going to watch him no matter what we do. Let me go a step further and postulate that if you eliminated all the people like me who trawl through [...]

Rand Paul: A Jeremiah Wright Republican

Ron Paul’s son Rand has carved out a niche for himself as the anti-establishment GOP candidate in the Kentucky senate race, attracting support from the Tea Party movement and major conservative players like Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint.  Those same people who loudly criticized Barack Obama’s disturbing ties to Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright are [...]

Why I Employ a Double Standard for Sarah Palin and David Frum

Why do I hold Sarah Palin to a more exacting standard than I do David Frum? Simple: because Palin and Frum fulfill different roles in the conservative movement. Palin is a political leader; Frum an intellectual leader. As an intellectual leader, Frum has much greater leeway — and an obligation really — to challenge conservative orthodoxy. Palin, by contrast, is abandoning conservative policy positions that she does not yet fully understand and has not yet fully thought through.

Nine Out of Ten Ayatollahs Agree – Vote Paul!

It’s bad enough that mainstream conservatives like Gov. Sarah Palin and Erick Erickson have endorsed Ron Paul’s son Rand in Kentucky’s Senate race.  But now that two more major conservative leaders—Dr. James Dobson and Sen. Jim DeMint—have done the same, the Right should be very troubled by the mainstreaming of the Paul family’s near-total abandonment [...]

Sarah Palin’s California Senate Endorsement Underscores Her Need for Gravitas

Critics or my recent NewsReal Blog post miss my point. My point is not to disparage either Sarah Palin or Carly Fiorina, both of whom I like, respect and admire. My point is to be candid about Palin’s shortcomings so that she can change. Because America needs the Sarah Palin that can be, not the Sarah Palin that now is.

Palin’s California Senate Endorsement Confirms She’s No Conservative

Given her public record as governor, and given her pronouncements on public-policy matters, no one should be surprised by Sarah Palin’s refusal to endorse prominent conservative candidates for national office. Why, then do some conservatives (like FrumForum’s Tim Mak) seem to expect Palin to act differently? Why do they expect Palin to act more like a true conservative politician?

Sarah Palin Surprise Support of Fiorina: No Wimps Allowed!

It was but seventy seven years ago that Wimpy murmured to Popeye the Sailor man: “I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today”.   Particularly apt this afternoon because Californians are wondering if today is Carly Fiorina’s “Tuesday.”
Following Fiorina’s support during the White House bid, Sarah Palin has now officially endorsed Ms. Fiorina’s [...]
