When I say that the judge suffered a mental breakdown, this is not an insult or just hyperbole because, well, just look at the first page of this thing.

This is like a 25th amendment moment for judges.
Judge William G. Young is 85-years-old. The media describes him as a Reagan appointee, which is meaningless if you understand where those judges were coming out of. His apparently unique approach of issuing a ruling with what looks like an anti-Trump crayon rant is in the service of defending foreign national supporters of Muslim terrorism on campus, but reads like an unhinged substack from a fired NPR employee.
The 161 page rant also reads like the work of a barracks lawyer who doesn’t understand the first thing about the law. After the self-congratulatory crayon rant, Judge Young begins ranting about the First Amendment as his platform without apparently understanding that foreign nationals don’t actually have a Constitutional right to support terrorists.
Judge Young also doesn’t understand how to use “constitution” in a sentence.
“With this constitution ruling firmly undergirding its approach, the Court here held a full hearing and a nine-day bench trial on the issue of whether the rights of these plaintiffs to constitutional freedom of speech have been unconstitutionally chilled by the deliberate conduct of any or all of these Public Official defendants.”
Judge Young then shows his professionalism by cutting and pasting links directly into the body of the text. A no-no. And begins ranting about the Jews.
Less of a no-no these days in progressive circles.
“In the wake of the October 2023 Hamas terror attack, the foreign policy of the United States under the Biden Administration was staunchly pro-Israel. This foreign policy has continued under the Trump administration. If anything, it has become even more strongly pro-Israel, following in virtual lock-step the foreign policy of the State of Israel.”
As I said, this bears no resemblance to a judicial ruling. It’s a Facebook rant. Complete with insults aimed at President Trump.
“Though there is scholarship that urges otherwise, there can be no constraint of any sort on the speech of the President of the United States, be that speech statesmanlike, magnanimous, and unifying or “foolish” and “knavish.”
And concludes with, “I fear President Trump believes the American people are so divided that today they will not stand up, fight for, and defend our most precious constitutional values so long as they are lulled into thinking their own personal interests are not affected .Is he correct?”
This is what mentally unstable judges who no longer understand their functions or limitations look like.

A federal judge is supposed to rule on the case at hand, not the foreign policy of the president that is not part of the case. Even when a judge issues an obiter dictum it should appear related.
We’re talking about Leftist judges who either don’t care of the Constitution or ignorant of it’s content.
I’d go with ignorant. You’d be surprised at how many people have never read the US Constitution or at best, maybe glanced at it a few times in their life. I know because I’m in the habit of asking or should I say, “inquiring.”
BTW: I keep pocket additions of the US Constitution on my desk and in both of my vehicles as does my wife.
The justice system is corrupt in a way similar to Ancient Rome. Any judicial ruling is liable to serve political interests rather than justice.
“I fear President Trump believes the American people are so divided that today they will not stand up, fight for, and defend our most precious constitutional values so long as they are lulled into thinking their own personal interests are not affected.”
Perhaps this federal judge should expound on what constitutional values that Trump is threatening. Nebulous rhetoric like the statement above may sound erudite but after careful parsing, it’s nothing more than intellectual twaddle.
Obviously this federal judge is an intellectual snob who likely thinks that most Americans are dumb and uneducated and lack the ability to reason and think logically.
But given that that’s a common characteristic of a ruling class elite, I’m not the least bit surprised that this judge would hold such an opinion. Plus he’s a lawyer. I never met a lawyer who didn’t think he/she was the smartest person in the room.
If only we had heeded William Shakespeare’s advice about lawyers….!
Rob, Lawyer? “Smartest Person?” I will differ.
That “Smartest” title belongs to NYT subscribers.
jcr:
Really? The same NYT that has all but endorsed a muslim marxist? The NYT is the principle vehicle by which the DNC/leftists disseminate the propaganda.
There’s a lot to be said about the people who read that leftist rag. Vicious and nasty things that would most certainly get me permanently banned for FPM. Freedom of speech has it’s limits!
And what would that be?
The joke what do you call 100 lawyers on a cruise that sinks to the bottom of the sea? A good start.
Is that from Shakespeare?
My favorite is how do you stop a lawyer from choking? Answer: Loosen your grip from around their throat. Or, how do you stop a lawyer from drowning? Answer: take your hands of their head. Or, why would a shark never attack a lawyer? Answer: professional courtesy.

‘Let’s Kill All The Lawyers’: Phrase Meaning & History
The full quote is: “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.” Cade, a pretender to the throne, hopes to destabilize the existing social order, and the line serves as a tongue-in-cheek recognition that lawyers, by upholding the law and administering justice, are impediments to anarchy.
johninohio1:
Perhaps there was a time when that was true but in today’s America, you have to question the intentions of the legal profession. To most people, lawyers are there to enrich themselves and screw you over while doing it. Upholding the law and administering justice takes a back seat to that.
In today’s world, you want justice? How much are you willing to pay? George Soros and his ilk can “afford” a whole lot more for justice than the average John and Jane Q. Citizen can.
Hence the refrain: “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers” is apropos in today’s America.
Yeah, but it came to mean ridding our society of those who milk the law and situations for themselves, lie for a living and get rich doing so.
Whatever the intended meaning in the drama, the real sentiment has taken its place
“Judges are the weakest link in our system of justice, and they are also the most protected. ”
– Alan Dershowitz
Protecting the islamic terrorists instead of Americans is the ultimate proof of lack of judgment. At the treason level.
Angel Jacob:
Perhaps. But I think it’s compelling proof of dangerous ignorance and stupidity. In recent times we’ve seen what that ultimately leads to (i.e., 9/11, the sudden withdrawal from Afghanistan, putting Joe Biden in the oval office, etc.)
Even so, the 85-year-old fart in a robe can probably define a “woman.” DEI Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson said in sworn public testimony before the senate that she could not define a “woman” because she (Jackson) is not a biologist. Pick your judicial poison: Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum.
It’s lucky for this judge that poor sentence structure is not a crime.
It’s also lucky for this judge that Americans have built up a tolerance for bullsh*t. Americans are deluged with a wide spectrum of bullsh*t 24/7/365. You have to build up a tolerance or you”ll be driven schizoid and start believing things that are inane, absurd, untruthful and never happened and
can’t happen.
Proof? The typical democrat voter. QED
I would not call it a tolerance for bullshikiddy alone but in USA we think we call all don tutus and ballet all day whether it’s capitalists or antifa – life is just that good in USA — and the majority of Americans don’t have to work everyday except the farmers which include livestock ranchers who work daily. They probably live more in reality than we do.
Did you see last night Tv shows? If you did, that is part of the problem.
MuggsSpongedice:
I rarely watch TV. It’s a intellectual vacuum subtly design to lower one’s IQ and render it’s viewers gullible, ignorant, dumb and stupid.
Besides, with the advent of the internet, most of the programming on the idiot box is becoming passe and going the way of the horse & buggy, black & white TV and of late, AM radio.
Moreover, because of the internet and the various ways it can be delivered and accessed , even cable TV has had it’s day but the sun is beginning to set on that industry too. It will likely survive but not in it’s current form.
Change is necessary and good. It’s how we went from horses to cars, from living in caves to houses, from burning candles to electricity and from sh*tting outdoors in the woods to restrooms, toilets and toilet paper.
Still a good, instructive joke . . .
[Q] What’s the best argument against democracy?
[A] A five minute conversion with your average voter.
I’ve forgotten how many times, college students have flunked the simple question: “Which CENTURY was our Civil War fought in?”
(The educated fools, however, DO know that Thomas Jefferson had slaves.)
I’ve learned over time that people, particularly the young, have to get their asses kicks a few times by the vagaries of reality and adulthood before they come to their proper senses.
Some never do and end up living on the streets or in prisons or in the worst cases, mental institutions when the adversities of reality (adversities we all face in one way or another to a greater or lesser degree and must overcome) becomes overwhelming and breaks them.
In my life time, I’ve seen that happen to several people I once knew. It was sad and tragic to see but they were warned of the consequences of what their actions.
Suffice it to say, life is unkind to fools and brutal on stupid fools.
A point of clarification concerning your use of “24/7/365”: To be dimensionally consistent you should use 25/7/52. I apologize for my anal retention. The gist of your remark was spot on. God bless you, sir.
Another excellent example of why there’s a need for a 28th Amendment to impose age and term limits on the federal judiciary.
In Australia Judges have to retire at 70.
You can, if you wish, in other areas start to retire at 55, and normal retiring age is now 67.
While you get some people who still have all their mental faculties past 70 it doesn’t mean that everybody does, and not having a way to get people like that off the Bench until they die is a real problem for the system.
This judge is a Regan appointee who has gone soft in his aged brain and no doubt a seething antisemite.
He should be removed from the bench probably 5 years ago.
This is how the tsunami of antisemitism became so fashionable, vogue and hip post 10-7-2023 massacre genocide in Israel, because antisemitism seethes in gentiles. It’s easy to hate the Jews when the whole world is involved.
It is totally ignorant and shows the lazy F’d up Parasitic Mind (Dr. Sad Gaad book: “The Parasitic Mind”)
My “Chicano” friend played a Godfrey Cambridge standup vinal album for me in the early 1970’s. The only thing that stuck with me from the album was: “The blacks hate the Mexicans, the Mexicans hate the blacks, and everyone hates the Jews:. Yes I laughed my kippa off, but was Godfrey Cambridge really telling the truth with his delivery? It would seem so 50 years later. Seething antisemitism in goyim in this internet age seems to be the final excuse to not blame oneself for one’s situation and refusing to learn to be what they snarl at others for accomplishing.
Racism is one and antisemitism is racism though those who claim they are victims of racism find it not racist to be antisemite.
Therefore, this Regan appointed truly incompetent judge who has lost his senses and needs to be immediately removed from the bench is a vile racists.
I moved into a new house a year ago after 6 months of upgrading it before moving in. The dude next door is an 85 year old antisemite though he and his wife claim they are Christians which one cannot be a Christian and be antisemitic because antisemitic self proclaimed Christians are telling their Savior and Lord Jesus Christ I hate you because you are Jewish. That’s too much critical thinking for most Americans.
When this old fart said he “Jewed someone down” on the price for one of his yapping dogs I knew he was a racist. The dude is too old to change so my mindset goes to F’ him and F all antisemites and racists because they are one in the same.
Godfrey Cambridge was only telling the truth. Cambridge also made the satire movie: “Watermelon Man” – which in it’s era was grapefruit in the eye more than Mel Brooks: “The Producers”.
I rest my case. Sine die1.
Interesting projection: “I fear President Trump believes … .Is he correct?”
looks and sounds like another mentally-ill leftist judge who should be led out to pasture…
This old Buzzard needs to retire to a happy little retirement home for t he Mentally unstable
I recommend ample servings of ice cream and applesauce and reruns of Gilligan’s Island, Happy Days and the Love Boat for the old coot!
What do you call a lawyer with the IQ of 50?
Your Honor!
