Order Jamie Glazov’s new book, ‘United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas’: HERE.
Editor’s note: University campuses are notorious for promoting ‘safe spaces’ where dissenting opinions are labeled as ‘violence.’ Yet within the cushioned walls of the Ivory Tower, professors gleefully celebrate aggression and bloodshed that furthers their leftist narratives including the ‘liberation’ of Gaza, the defeat of capitalism, the abolition of the police, and the ‘decolonization’ of America.
This promotion of savagery occurs at a time when our nation is experiencing a surge in political violence from the left, including the assassination of Charlie Kirk and three heinous attempts to assassinate President Donald Trump.
The following series, “Academic Assault: The Far-Left Professors Promoting Political Violence,” will expose both the barbarism and hypocrisy of these radical faculty, these academic assailants, who claim to promote safety and inclusion while encouraging violence as a political tool to spur revolution.

Dwayne Dixon, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill
Would a professor affiliated with a far-right anarchist gun collective determined to bring down American society still remain employed by a university? The case of Professor Dwayne Dixon begs that question.
Dixon is a professor of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He was also (until recently, he claims) a self-identified member of Redneck Revolt, a far-left gun club and Antifa offshoot that seeks the end of capitalism, police, prisons, and courts. The group also provides physical security for radical protestors as they engage in civil disobedience.
While the anarchist collective claims to oppose fascism and white supremacy, their aims do not end there. “Revolt also stands against capitalism and the concept of the nation-state, including its symbols such as police, prisons, and courts,” describes the Counter Extremism Project, a group dedicated to combating “the growing threat from extremist ideologies.”
“According to Redneck Revolt ideology, these symbols exist only to serve the rich and protect the wealthy class while oppressing the working class,” the Project explains. “Redneck Revolt seeks to eliminate capitalism and the oppressive patriarchy in order to fashion a new society that allows for the equal distribution of resources.”
While the group claims to be non-violent, they also make a show of carrying weapons at left-wing demonstrations and protests. “Arming themselves is a direct response to threats of violence against marginalized communities, according to the group’s propaganda,” describes the Counter Extremism Project. “Members insist on carrying weapons while patrolling protests in order to be ready to defend against an attack, but they also insist that their weapons are purely defensive.”
“We are not pacifists,” clarifies the group’s organizing principles. “Redneck Revolt believes in using any and all means at our disposal to gain our freedom and true liberty, provided those methods do not violate our basic humanity or integrity. We believe in the inherent right of every individual and community to defend themselves from those who exploit or oppress them.”
Redneck Revolt leaves no doubt as to the organization’s true aims. “We believe in the need for revolution,” the group’s organizing principles state. “Redneck Revolt believes that there will have to be a complete restructuring of society to provide for the survival and liberty of all people. We will fight for the end of predatory exploitation of our communities, and the creation of a world where no one is without food, shelter, water, or any other means of survival.”
Dwayne Dixon was not merely a bystander in this radical group. In 2018, he was the featured speaker on a panel hosted by the Carr-Ryan Center for Human Rights at Harvard University. During that appearance, he spoke for about half an hour about how Redneck Revolt aided the leftist protesters countering the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
“During the event, Dixon argued in favor of armed political action, while justifying it as self-defense against Nazis, fascists and White supremacists,” Fox News noted of his address, adding that he depicted the “far-right” as “filled with murderous rage.”
“Let the Nazis assemble and speak in public, and they will attack you, and then they’re going to come for the people you love,” Dixon said in his speech, which has since been removed from YouTube. “To paraphrase Robert F. Williams … Robert F. Williams of Monroe, North Carolina, my struggle is against White supremacy, not for civil rights. I’m here to smash White supremacist capitalism, not defend civil society.”
In September 2025, after Fox News Digital shared footage of Dixon’s speech, UNC briefly placed the professor on administrative leave due to “recent reports and expressions of concern regarding alleged advocacy of politically motivated violence.”
The university’s fears were amply justified by Dixon’s past statements and actions promoting gun violence and fomenting revolution. As Fox News notes, “Dixon has faced misdemeanor charges stemming from his participation as a member of Redneck Revolt, though he has not been convicted. He previously was charged with a gun crime in connection with an anti-KKK protest in nearby Durham, North Carolina, in which the KKK was present. In 2018, he was also charged with simple assault on the night a Confederate statue, named ‘Silent Sam,’ was torn down on the UNC campus. Those charges were dropped.”
Additionally, “Dixon, along with Redneck Revolt, were sued by the city of Charlottesville after the Unite the Right rally, with the city accusing the organization of violating anti-paramilitary law.”
In spite of the abundant concerns triggered by Dixon’s past statements and actions, UNC administrators rapidly determined to their own satisfaction that the radical professor did not pose any ongoing threat to the university or its students.
“We have found no basis to conclude that he poses a threat to University students, staff and faculty, or has engaged in conduct that violates University policy,” a statement released by UNC read. It seems dubious that the university would have been quite so cavalier if Dixon had been affiliated with a far-right militia rather than one dedicated to the overthrow of capitalism.
For his promotion of violent revolution and advocacy for using force to overthrow the government, and the economic and legal systems of America, Dwayne Dixon belongs on the list of Academic Assailants.

This fool is educating our youth?? No wonder teens and twentysomethings are falling all over themselves demanding Socialism and worse! The USA is the greatest new thing in history, and their little pea brains can’t handle it.
When we look at the economic prosperity of so many different Asian-Americans, e.g. Taiwanese Americans, e.g. Indian-Americans, it is obvious capitalism is being very good to them, better than for white Americans. Maybe culture matters.
No word yet if leftists are dictating to these groups that they need to check their Asian-American privilege. Nothing new about some groups doing better than others in the U.S. Thomas Sowell covered this in one of his excellent books, Ethnic America, decades ago.
Thism”professor” seems like all Cosplay. Don’t we now have evidence that Unite the Right rally was mostly staged/funded by SPLC and not what it seems]ed?. So, neither is this guy, of course. He fights a supposed white supremacy that is mostly a figment of the leftist imagination. And it was the red herring of past deep state/leftist FBI director who stated it was the greatest (and only?) terrorist threat. Remember that rhetoric?
