The failed ‘ceasefire’ (in which the fire never actually ceased) was premised on Hamas disarming. As anyone with any common sense warned, Hamas would not disarm. And no one would force it to disarm. That hasn’t stopped Steven Witkoff from pushing on with imaginary plans based on fantasies about how Hamas really wants peace despite decades of evidence otherwise.
Unmoved by those concerns, US special envoy Steve Witkoff announced on Wednesday the “launch of phase two,” where the goal will be “moving from ceasefire to demilitarization, technocratic governance and reconstruction.
“We’ve talked to a number of Hamas people, and we’re hearing throughout the Arab world that people don’t want to be at war anymore. They want peace. They want a better economic future for their families. They want credible homes,” said a second US official on the briefing. “They want what everybody else in this world wants — just a good life, and a good life doesn’t occur through military means.”
So we’ve learned nothing from 9/11, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Arab Spring, Oct 7 and every previous time we’ve tried to do this. In fact we’re doing the same damn things all over again in Syria and Gaza, convincing ourselves that Islamic terrorists don’t really want to follow the teachings of their religion and the cause they’ve dedicated their lives to, but just want “what everybody else in this world wants — just a good life.”
It’s incredible. We could be listening to the Bush administration going through this same song and dance all over again.
But this seems par for the course with putting a Qatari-adjacent real estate guy in charge of a series of failed ‘peace’ in name only initiatives who is either a useful idiot for the terrorists… or just an idiot.
“Hamas has always indicated that they would disarm. They’ve said so — they said it to us directly during that famous meeting that Jared had with them,” Witkoff recalled, speaking to the America Business Forum conference in Miami.
“I hope that they keep their word because if they do, they’ll understand that the development plan that we have for Gaza is really terrific — a lot better than anyone has ever discussed before,” he continued, adding that it will include a “tremendous jobs program.”
Hamas has said repeatedly that it’s not disarming except if its terrorists get to front a terrorist state.
But just wait until they learn about Witkoff’s “tremendous jobs program.” Because surely what Hamas really wants is “a good life”.
How many bodies will it take, how many nations destroyed, until we’re done with the Bushes, the McCains, the Witkoffs, and their promises that what the Jihadists really want is a good life rather than what they keep telling us they want?

Peace? There can be no peace with Hamas or any other Islamic group. Only annihilation which is their intentions towards us. The sooner we recognize that fact the sooner we do them before they do us.
As for Witkoff, he’s naive and and untrustworthy tool. He stands for nothing and therefore will fight for nothing no matter what’s at stake. In my book that makes him a person who should never be trusted or counted on to stand by you when the going gets tough.
Unfortunate for us, to a greater or lesser degree, that’s a common characteristic among the politicians and people who run our government.

OK, they want Peace! They “will disarm”! So DISARM NOW and then we’ll talk about peace! For sure there should not even BE a hamass! That stench should be over – flushed – and anyone seeking to revise their strangle(literally)hold on the public should NOT be allowed to remain!

Trump’s 20-point peace plan and his dictate of “hands off” by Israel in Judea and Samaria was designed to cripple Israel’s ability to defend itself while playing footsie under the negotiating table with Qatar and Saudi Arabia thereby keeping an open conduit for future business.
Trump, Witkoff and Kushner are all bloviating about supporting Israel and disarming Hamas and the Middle East is laughing their way into further terror within Israel, and Islamic infiltration in America while they beam about pseudo-triumphs.
Think about having a secure Israel and free Iran…two nations capable of ruling the Middle East with their technological advancements, abundant national resources (Iran) and democracies. For these Islamic nations (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordon and Türkiye) this would massively thwart their regional and worldwide aspirations.
Peace, total BS! That is the ruse to lull people into believing men who have personal aspirations and while two of them are Jewish and the President’s daughter, Ivanka is Jewish, these three are governed by the Benjamins and their interests are in becoming VERY influential in the futures of the Middle East. Having a strong, independent Israel and Iran are very, very troublesome and we are witnessing their continuing sleight-of-hand compromising both of these nations. It’s no wonder Trump has thrown the Iranians under the bus leaving them in the chains of Islamic dictatorship. They won’t pose any kind of future threat to them supporting these other Islamic regimes so profitable to all of them.
Truly dishonorable and completely despicable…and morally horrific and well planned and negotiated betrayals.
I humbly suggest considering instead of saying “…teachings of their religion” adopting “…commandants of their religion.”

President Trump has publicly stated that he supports Israel’s IDF destroying Hamass if it doesn’t comply with the “peace deal”…….on multiple occasions. do you think he’s dumb enough to think Hamass ever would? He just wanted the world to see that Hamass is implacably dedicated to the genocide of the Jews and can’t ever be negotiated with. They want to murder Americans too, you know. Has he criticized the IDF operations in the Gaza Sewer to wipe out Hamass? No, he hasn’t.
Hamas has never complied by disarming and there is evidence that they are actively recruiting and rearming in Gaza.

Witkoff really is an idiot. I am disappointed that DJT seems to have failed to realize this If Trump falters, we are. in trouble.
