Qatar, the former home of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, as well as Taliban, Hamas and other Islamic terrorist state leaders, had its Al Jazeera state media push out propaganda declaring that the United States Constitution “sucks” and “here’s how we change it.”
Somehow neither that nor the ban on Christianity or Qatar’s involvement in spying on Americans or supporting Islamic terrorism could keep assorted globalist personalities like Bill Gates, Hillary Clinton or Tucker Carlson from heading to its Doha conference and praising their hosts. (Tucker claimed that he was buying a home in Qatar.)
Sponsorship for the Doha events could hardly have been any more globalist with backing from the Atlantic Council, CNN and the Gates Foundation.
Woke right influencers who once claimed to decry globalism are now happy to rub shoulders with Bill Gates not to mention Islamic terrorists, to accept globalist sponsorship (not to mention Jihadist backing) and then expect the rest of us to take them seriously.
That needs to change.
There’s nothing American about getting into bed with enemies whose message is that they want to destroy our Constitution and our country.
The Constitution is really quite good. I used to keep a copy on my wall and read bits and pieces from time to time. Very impressive.
I don’t favor conventions to revise the Constitution because, these days, we would likely screw it up.
Another point against them is that the composition would be the same as it was in 1787. Politicians. In those days some were actually honest, not many but enough.
Who would go today? AOC, Newsom, Snitch or Lynny?

I do not trust anyone with changing the entire Constitution in a convention. In fact, the Constitution resulted from a convention to change the Articles of Confederation. For me, it is enough to make one amendment at a time. I agree that a convention sounds like a good idea, but do not trust it.

Also Trump Jr. was shown in photographs there following Tucker Carlson around like a puppy dog. He had also posted on X insult to anyone criticizing Carlson.
Sure, he’s free to do this. We are free to be concerned about the impact on foreign and domestic policy.
