Order Jamie Glazov’s new book, ‘United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas’: HERE.
Just as the Germans have discovered that former Chancellor Angela Merkel was dead wrong when she assured them in 2015 that “wir schaffen das!” — “we can do this” — meaning “we can successfully integrate nearly a million migrants, almost all of them Muslims, this year, so the tolerant, liberal Dutch, once so open to migrants, find that they too “cannot do this,” that is, cannot live peacefully with the Muslims now living in their midst. These migrants commit more crimes of every sort, from shoplifting and robbery to rape and murder, and turn tranquil villages into places where the indigenous Dutch live in a state of constant anxiety. More on this horror can be found here: “‘They stab each other in the middle of the street with children walking by’ — Residents of Dutch town with large asylum center warn others about following suit,” by Thomas Brooke, Remix News, February 26, 2026:
Residents living near the large-scale asylum seekers’ center (AZC) in Harderwijk, the Netherlands, have described what they say is a sharp deterioration in safety and quality of life.
Tom de Nooijer, party leader and municipal council member of the Christian Association Oldebroek (CVO), canvassed opinion ahead of a potential asylum accommodation debate in the neighboring town of Oldebroek.
In a video published on social media, De Nooijer said he had crossed the municipal border to ask residents directly about their experiences. “What is it like to have a large-scale AZC in your municipality?” he asked, explaining that Oldebroek does not currently host such a facility but is discussing asylum accommodation.
Several residents revealed a considerable decline in public safety. One elderly lady said, “I won’t walk my dog here at night after nine o’clock. So that says it all.” A mother added, “Fights, shots were fired here on the premises.”
Others alleged frequent disturbances, with one resident stating, “Lots of crime, aggressiveness, police, ambulances. Every week there is something.”
Some described several incidents involving knives. “One stabbing to another stabbing. And then again that fuss, fights with people in the street,” one local said. Another added, “They stab each other. Just in the middle of the street with the children walking by.” A resident living opposite the center, who uses a mobility scooter, said, “If you see how often the police stand there. Surely that says it all.”
Claims of theft were also raised. “There is a lot of theft, so you can’t leave your bike open for a while,” one man said, adding that a local supermarket “had to take extra security because people also steal everything.” A teen boy told De Nooijer, “Just last month, someone broke into a neighbor’s car.”…
Harderwijk authorities have not responded publicly within the context of this video to the allegations made by residents. The AZC system in the Netherlands is managed nationally, with municipalities often tasked with hosting facilities under central government agreements….
It is not village authorities, but the central government in The Hague that decides where these large asylum centers are to be opened, often over the objections of the locals. The Dutch unlucky enough to have their villages selected for a large asylum center have discovered that though they can protest against this, their objections seldom prevail.
Dutch authorities maintain that asylum reception remains a national responsibility, with municipalities required to accommodate asylum seekers under government allocation rules.
Who are these Muslims who have been granted “asylum”? Many are Syrians, but there is no longer a civil war in Syria, and they should be sent back. Others claim to suffer persecution at home, but who is now suffering persecution in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, Jordan? In Egypt, it is not Muslims but Christian Copts who are persecuted, but very few of them claim asylum in the Netherlands, and those who do, unlike Muslim “asylum seekers,” do not bring mayhem in their wake.
Eventually, as more of those once-quiet Dutch villages become places of fear and crime and mayhem, the result of the “asylum centers” that the national government has placed in their midst, more and more of those Dutch affected by their undesired Muslim neighbors will turn to the anti-Muslim-migrant Party For Freedom (PVV), possibly governing as part of a coalition with other center-right parties. In the October 2025 election, Wilders’ party, the PVV, ran neck-and-neck with the centrist, liberal-progressive Democrats 66, led by Rob Jetten — 16.9% for the Democrats, 16.7% for the FVV — but lost by the thinnest of margins.
Every day, throughout the Netherlands, more people have their own unpleasant encounters with Muslims, or hear about what their fellow Dutch men and women have experienced, including those who have suffered from the crimes the Muslims have committed, and this leads them to the conclusion that they must support those who will both call a halt to Muslim migration, and who are prepared to deport back to their countries of origin many of those Muslims already in the country, including those convicted of a crime, and those who have spent too much time on the dole, without trying to become gainfully employed.

When are westerners going to finally say “Enough is enough”
They are saying, “Enough!” Then they rush to the polling booth every 2-4 years to re-elect the very same politicians who caused the problem and perpetuated the problem because they lack the courage to fix the problem.

So true. So predictable
I beg to differ. What about elections being tampered with?
Right to defend. Second Amendment. Ours, preserve it.
I just cannot believe that elections are real. I think they are fraught with fraud.
Some societies contribute to civilization, others deny it.
