Do you know what the Jewish community in Australia (not to mention Canada, the UK and across Europe) have been asking for over and over again? Stop Muslim mobs from harassing and terrorizing Jewish schools, shops and communities.
Here’s a statement from the Australian Jewish Association after the Chanukah massacre at Bondi Beach.
AJA CEO Robert Gregory said, “What happened is a tragedy, but it should not be viewed as a surprise. The Albanese Government ignored countless warnings, including from one of the murder victims, Rabbi Eli Schlanger. Instead of cracking down on Islamic hate preachers, the Albanese Government revoked the visas of Jewish and Israeli visitors. Instead of being raided and shut down, radical mosques and extremist Islamic organisations were given taxpayer grants. When the Australian Government recognised a non-existent ‘State of Palestine, I and other Jewish leaders warned that this would embolden extremists and that Australian Jews would ultimately pay the price. The Albanese Government has blood on their hands.”
At funerals, family members have blasted the government for doing nothing to stop the violence and for, in many cases, not even visiting the survivors in the hospital.
Instead, they’re canceling Christmas.
A New Year’s Eve festival scheduled to take place on Bondi Beach has been cancelled by the local eastern Sydney council following the horrific massacre.
In a statement released by the promoter, Fuzzy said the decision was made with a focus on “compassion and care for Sydney’s Jewish community”.
“Our hearts are with everyone affected by the tragedy at Bondi Beach. What happened has deeply shaken our community and all who call this place home,” the statement read.
“We have been working closely with Waverley Council over the past couple of days, focusing on compassion and care for Sydney’s Jewish community and all those impacted, allowing NSW Police to further progress their investigations.”
No one in the Jewish community asked anyone to cancel New Year’s Eve festivities and what possible things are left to investigate at the beach that can’t be wrapped up by the end of the year?
This is simply a decision that it’s too dangerous to go ahead with the party while spinning it as love for the Jewish community.
Sydney has also scaled back several Christmas celebrations across the city and adapted others to show support for the Jewish community.
“Christmas lights across the city will be replaced with white lights to represent Chanukah, in solidarity with the Jewish community,” the City of Sydney said in a statement.
This includes the lights at Town Hall, the Martin Place tree, Pitt Street Mall and the Queen Victoria Building awning.
“There will be no light or sound show at any of our trees and the Carols in the City program will not take place this week.”
Again, no one is asking for this. (How do ‘white lights’ even represent Chanukah?) They are asking for an end to Islamic threats and violence.
Like not having this happen at a memorial for victims of terrorism.

An iconic Jewish bakery in Sydney has closed permanently in the aftermath of a terrorist attack at a Hanukkah gathering on Bondi Beach, citing escalating safety concerns, according to The Guardian.
Avner’s Bakery, located in the Surry Hills neighborhood and run by chef Ed Halmagyi, announced the immediate shutdown, saying it could no longer guarantee the security of its staff or customers.
In a message posted on the bakery’s window, Halmagyi and his team described a profound sense of rupture.
“The world has changed. Our world has changed,” the statement read. “After the Bondi pogrom, it has become clear that openly and proudly Jewish spaces can no longer be made safe in Australia.”
The bakery had faced nearly two years of persistent antisemitic harassment, including threats, vandalism, and intimidation
Nothing can be done about that, instead Sydney will change Christmas lights to ‘white lights’ in ‘solidarity’. The only thing this does is trigger antisemitism while doing absolutely zero to protect the Jewish community.

Arson attacks at two synagogues, one of which was set on fire during the Shabbat while congregants were inside, a restaurant and other Jewish community areas followed. The Iranian who set fire to a synagogue on the Sabbath claimed that he didn’t know it was a synagogue (despite the giant Star of David outside) and blamed mental illness. He was sentenced to time served and released with the magistrate claiming that locking up the arsonist was “disgraceful.”
Can’t do anything about that, but the trees won’t play Christmas music. This isn’t about solidarity with Jews, it’s about the usual suspects refusing to do anything to stop the violence while pushing their usual agendas.
