First, Judge Gregory Carro in New York State argued that Luigi Mangione, the leftist terrorist, wasn’t a terrorist because he said he wasn’t.
Judge Gregory Carro argued that Luigi Mangione was wrongly being charged as a terrorist since the radical terrorist’s objective “was not to threaten, intimidate or coerce, but rather to draw attention to what he perceived as the greed of the insurance industry.”
Rather than following the law, Carro chose to read the most sympathetic interpretation into Luigi’s writings. “The defendant’s apparent objective, as stated in his writings, was not to threaten, intimidate, or coerce, but rather, to draw attention to what he perceived as the greed ofthe insurance industry,” the judge wheedled. “The defendant emphasized that he wished to spread a ‘message’ and ‘win public support’ about ‘every.thing wrong with our health system.’”
Judge Carro argues that “the defendant explicitly contrasted himself with Ted Kaczynski, the ‘Unabomber,’ because he ‘indiscriminately mail bomb[ed] innocents,’ and ‘cross[ed] the line … to terrorist, the worst thing a person can be.’”
More of the same now at the federal level where Judge Margaret Garnett, a recent Biden appointee, decided that Luigi Mangione stalking Brian Thompson in order to kill him wasn’t a “crime of violence”.
Judge Garnett, a Biden appointee, noted the “apparent absurdity”, arguing that “the analysis contained in the balance of this opinion may strike the average person — and indeed many lawyers and judges — as tortured and strange, and the result may seem contrary to our intuitions about the criminal law.”
But stalking a man in order to kill him, according to the Biden judge, isn’t a “crime of violence” and has decided to “foreclose the death penalty as an available punishment to be considered by the jury”’
The only thing tortured and strange here is that Democrats are trying not to pretend that they’re bailing out a leftist terrorist.
Had Luigi Mangione worn a red cap and hunted down and killed a liberal judge, all of a sudden all of these rulings would be the opposite of what they are, and the ‘tortured and strange’ parts of them would be the sound of the law creaking to be bent backward the other way.
We know what they’re doing. They just insist on pretending we don’t know. But we know.
Remove this idiot from the Case retire them to a Mental Institution and have Mangione strapped to Old Sparky and Fried until he sizzles

Luigi ruthlessly stalked and than shot his victim ruthlessly in the back. Only a brain dead Federal judge could come to the conclusion it was not a violent crime. The judge should be impeached but Republicans have no backbone and Dems just love it!

Judgmentally challenged Carro just might one day encounter someone wanting “to draw attention to what he perceived as the” necessity of removing a judge expeditiously.
OK. So Luigi Mangione murdering Brian Thompson “wasn’t a “crime of violence”. Was it even a crime then – and if so, what sort of crime? A crime of “non-violence”?!
The murdered victim is just as dead either way of course.
When leftists/globalists/islamics/non-whites’ “assassinate” people they smear as “fascists, racists, colonizers, capitalists, etc.”, it’s not murder — it’s social justice and not a crime — attempted punishment of the “assassin” is the crime. War is peace. Hate is love. Up is down. Trans women are women. Charles Manson said it best, We didn’t murder anyone because you can’t kill “kill”.
There seem to be many elected Republicans in the USA. Where are they? Are they all on yachts with hookers counting their corruption cash? The absence of justice is a strong hallmark of a nation’s downfall. Injustice is now common, predictable and increasingly outrageous.

So depressing on many different levels. A depraved judge and a cold-blooded murderer get a win. The victim’s family suffers another loss.
I dunno….I’ve lived a long time, long enough to know this is not going to go well for Luigi Mangione, no matter how the deal is cut.
Justice comes in many ways. Failure of justice with humans, in this case, laying in wait, premeditated crime, stalking your prey cold blooded murder is death penalty instructions with our creator YHVH GOD ALMIGHTY in the Old Testament book of Leviticus. Man cannot change this law. But what humans have down is soften penalties for criminals and blame the victims. In western Europe, many victims are locked up when they complain about it online.
Insurance companies take a lot of money from people who can barely afford it and when disaster strikes, barely pay out to cover the disaster after a mountain of denials. So now insurance rates go up because insurance company execs have to hire personal security.
Justice is never left out in the whole total scheme of GOD’s Creation. We repent now, we’re clean. We keep mum about repenting and die and the Bible tells all kinds of realities in parables what happens.
Another article noted that the CRIME of Using a FIREARM to MURDER was thrown out – that one would get you the Death Penalty! So, how is it that he MURDERED him? He didn’t use a pool noodle!
There should be a process where POLITICAL IDEOLOGY is considered a DISQUALIFIER and these liberal “judges” are REMOVED since they cannot FOLLOW OUR LAWS! Just more leftist insanity!
