The premise of systemic racism and its ‘solution’ equity is that you can establish that America is just as racist as ever, all evidence to the contrary, is disparate impact.
What that means is if you can show that black public school students get lower grades and you use a grade metric, your policy is racist even though you never had any racist intent because of ‘disparate impact’ on black applicants.
This is why Buttigieg could go on about racist highways and virtually anything could be painted as racist.
It’s also the source of all those cutesy equity cartoons explaining that real equality isn’t treating everyone the same, but giving certain people extra boosts.
David Horowitz spent a lot of his time taking this notion on. He knew what real racism was and he knew this wasn’t it.
But at the DOJ level it also meant that you could also block virtually any kind of election security reforms, like voter ID, all you had to do was show it would have disparate impact on some protected group.
Well the DOJ is nuking the ‘nuclear weapon’ of systemic racism.
Today, the Justice Department issued a final rule updating its regulations under Title VI of the Civil Rights of 1964. This rule ensures that our nation’s federal civil rights laws are firmly grounded in the principle of equal treatment under the law by eliminating disparate-impact liability from its Title VI regulations.
“For decades, the Justice Department has used disparate-impact liability to undermine the constitutional principle that all Americans must be treated equally under the law,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “No longer. This Department of Justice is eliminating its regulations that for far too long required recipients of federal funding to make decisions based on race.”
“The prior ‘disparate impact’ regulations encouraged people to file lawsuits challenging racially neutral policies, without evidence of intentional discrimination,” said Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division. “Our rejection of this theory will restore true equality under the law by requiring proof of actual discrimination, rather than enforcing race- or sex-based quotas or assumptions.”
This is the key part.
A policy that is racially neutral is not racist. Period. And any evidence that it has racial intent needs to be demonstrated through actual documentation rather than ‘disparate impact’.
One of the things this means is that states can actually have Voter ID without the usual civil rights freakout.
But the freakout is just beginning. The Dems know that ‘disparate impact’ is a major basis for their system and they will come after this with everything they have.
The D-Bags go after everything Americans favor and support everything we hate.
Genesis 1:26-27 tells us that we’re ALL children of God, HENCE (as Martin Luther King pointed out) we’re ALL brothers and sisters and should treat each other likewise!!! Color, size, gender, clothing, etc ad nauseum DO NOT count.
I’ve said on this site before that there is no such thing as Race. Categorizing people that way serves no useful or good purpose. Placing people in different castes from birth is bound to create a difference in treatment under the law and it has done so. What do we need Race for? What good has it done? Can anybody think of even one good thing this idea of Race has brought about? Anybody?
I will venture an answer, but first, castes are not Christian and there is no reason to treat anyone differently under the law. Disparate impact does not occur because the law is unfair, but because humans vary in capacity and character and Lady Justice has removed her blindfold.
As for race, If you mean one HUMAN race, then YES, we are all one human race, descended from Adam and Eve, whose time saw no nations, families, tribes, or ethnicities. They spoke one language, likely the language of heaven.
All fishes, plants and birds are made “after their KIND” in Genesis 1. The Hebrew word translated “kind” means “species.” Humans have only one kind (species). We are mankind. We can interbreed with one another and produce fertile offspring. “Species” does not mean “race.” “Race” is translated from the Greek word “ethnos” from which we get “ethnicity.” The Greek word “ethnos” is translated in the bible as “nation.”
Adam and Eve were told to fill the earth (Genesis 1:28). After the fall, God repeated the fill-the-earth command to Noah (Genesis 9:1). So it was ALWAYS God’s good plan that humanity would spread out over all the earth to develop families, tribes, languages, nations and different ways of being. It was never a punishment for sin, but God’s good design for us.
Two chapters after the ark, we get Babel where humanity disobeys God’s command to fill the earth (Genesis 11:1). Humanity wanted unity to glorify themselves, to reach heaven with unified human effort and to thwart God’s fill-the-earth command (Genesis 11:4). God prevented us, so we no longer have one language or one people— but we do fill the earth. We came from one man and became many nations (“ethnos”) spread out according to the times and boundaries God has set for us (Acts 17: 26).
So race is a real and it is good. All our differentiation reflects God’s image designed to glorify Him and to bless us. One day, the LORD will unify us and restore us to one language (Zephaniah 3: 9) even as He retains our ethnic / racial distinctions (Revelation 7:9).
In the meantime, our differences give occasion for both bad and good, increasingly bad in non-Christian societies. Each race can be characterized by gross similarities of strengths and weaknesses, with much individual variation within each racial category. If we were not so sinful, these different strengths and weaknesses could make life better for everyone. One day, I hope to see it by God’s grace.
While I don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth,
and I agree that DOJ making a policy decision to End ACTUAL Systemic Racism Against White People, which should also carry over to reducing ACTUAL Systemic Racism Against Others,
This is another decision by the Trump Administration … and particularly Blondie …
That accomplishes nothing …

Seriously, I did a near decade in a State government agency,
and all of our effective and useful policies – threading the needle between the Leftist Lunacy and the communities’ actual needs –
were overthrown in a week.
And although many affected parties sued and sued and sued …
the anti-science, anti-reality, anti-American, anti-business
AND YES – ANTI-safety, ANTI-health, and ANTI-environment …
policies of the Left were forced upon us.
And, I wish I could say I was some sort of hero who left the agency on principle,
But the truth is that the services of ALL qualified engineers and scientists were not welcome.
That’s what Leftism accomplishes,
As a side note – that’s also what Atheism accomplishes – because Atheism allows people to project their stupidity, ignorance, arrogance, and biases onto whomever they hate.
