The best of Gov. Newsom’s chief-of-staff appears to have also uncovered an FBI investigation into him.
(Funny how the media isn’t covering a corruption scandal involving the Dem 2028 front runner.)
And that investigation is freaking out California Dems.
Letters from the F.B.I. landed this month in the mailboxes of California’s political class, notifying recipients that their phone calls and text messages were captured on a wiretap last year. The unwelcome correspondence began to arrive almost immediately after Gov. Gavin Newsom’s former chief of staff was indicted on 23 felony charges.
The corruption case — and the F.B.I. letters that followed — has sent shivers through Sacramento’s close-knit community of lobbyists, government aides and elected officials.
Many have worked together for decades in a several-block radius around the majestic State Capitol building, drinking at the same watering holes, dining on clients’ tabs and trading political war stories. Depending on the year, they can be fierce enemies or close allies. They have gone in and out of public service, shaping policy in the nation’s most populous state.
Now, just before the holidays, they wonder how far the federal indictment may ripple.
A handful of Mr. Newsom’s current and former aides received the letters, the governor’s office confirmed. Numerous lobbyists also were on the F.B.I.’s mailing list.
The F.B.I. is required by law to inform individuals after they have been surveilled, and letter recipients are not necessarily targets of the investigation. Still, the correspondence has sent political operatives scrolling through old text messages to remind themselves of their chatter between May 2024 and July 2024, the period that communications were intercepted, according to the letters.
Wonder what they’re so worried about and what they’re looking for. Do you want to take a guess?
Governor Nuisance should be on the very top of their Investigation
Oh, my latest realization (from studying the history of the British Navy) this afternoon was that appointing incompetent, unqualified people to government jobs for political reasons (like Obama did) isn’t new. Rather it has been going on for a long time, and coincides with a drastic decline in the functionality of an organization. Then if some competent people are appointed the functioning of the organization may improve.

In today’s political environment, appointing people who are feckless and corrupt is a necessity if one is going to engage in pilfering public funds and corruption and survive. That way there’s always an alibi and someone else to throw under a bus when things go sideways. It’s called business as usual.
The whole of the californication Democrap organisation should be the target of a RICO investigation.
Start with San Fran Nan and Newscum and work down.
That’s a beautiful dream but in the world of reality, that’s unlikely to happen now or in the foreseeable future.

The Dems opened a can of worms they are going to be sorry for. The Dems surveilled Repubs, now turn about is fair play and they are surveilled. Who has more to hide? Dems of course.

Dems sorry? I’ve heard that claim many times before and it has yet to happen. What ever they did, they’re going to get away with it. Count on it. They’ve done all kinds of hinky and heinous and illegal sh*t in the pass and have gotten away with it. Thus it’s reasonable to assume that they will again.

Yet we find out Biden’s FBI was surveilling GOP senators only through whistleblowers.
It might be a good idea to do it again – NOW! Imagine the conversations going on – getting alibis – establishing “whereabouts” – coordinating “history”!! I wonder if that investigation was found in a BURN BAG!!!
