Order Robert Spencer’s new book, Holy Hell: Islam’s Abuse of Women and the Infidels Who Enable It: HERE.
Can the Islamic Republic of Iran defeat the United States? Certainly it can. It can do so in the same way that the Taliban defeated the United States in Afghanistan: by outlasting it.
Is this a call for a “forever war”? Absolutely not. Once the Islamic Republic falls, it will be gone. The Iranian people hate it. Once the Islamic Republic has been consigned to the dustbin of history, some Islamic hardliners will remain in Iran, but they have lost the political and cultural initiative in a way that the Taliban never did in Afghanistan. The Iranian people are to a tremendous degree not only thoroughly sick of the Islamic Republic, but of Islam itself.
Nevertheless, the Islamic Republic could survive, and what it needs to do in order to do so is quite clear: all it has to do is continue to exist until Trump is out of office, or the Democrats take the House and the Senate and force him to bring an end to the conflict.
The mullahs have the advantage of thinking that they are part of a 1,400-year struggle to advance the cause of Islam in the world. American politics, by contrast, moves in cycles of two and four years. And so on Tuesday, the New York Times, which will no doubt be crestfallen if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its end, explained it succinctly: “The Islamic Republic of Iran’s first priority is to survive. To do that, its leaders will want to drive up the cost of the war for President Trump — in terms of American casualties, energy costs and inflation — to try to persuade him to declare victory and go home.”
The Times doesn’t say it, but Trump has to deal with a massive Fifth Column in the United States that includes both congressional Democrats and the New York Times itself, along with its fellow leftist propaganda outlets. The left in America is doing everything it can right now to “drive up the cost of the war for President Trump” in the court of public opinion. On Tuesday, the destroyer of California and currently leading Democrat presidential hopeful for 2028 jumped on the bandwagon of the newly fashionable antisemitism and blamed Israel for bamboozling poor Trump into getting in a war with the poor sinless Islamic Republic.
Newsom repeated the lie that Israel is “sort of an apartheid state” — you know, the sort of apartheid state where racial and religious minorities have full equality of rights with the majority population. He claimed without evidence that Netanyahu had dragged Trump into this war: “In so many ways, that influence in the context of the conversation of where Trump ultimately landed on this is pretty damn self-evident.” Netanyahu himself brusquely dismissed this claim: “That’s ridiculous. Donald Trump is the strongest leader in the world.”
But Newsom was by no means alone. Another 2028 hopeful and one of the leaders of the Democrats’ powerful socialist base, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Would You Like an Olive?) issued a denunciation of the action against Iran in terms that many Democrats echoed: “The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions. This war is unlawful. It is unnecessary. And it will be catastrophic.”
Demonstrating her abject ignorance of the core ideology of the Islamic Republic, as well as of the success of negotiations with it in all contexts over the years and the Iranian regime’s long record of aggressive actions against the U.S., AOC continued: “Just this week, Iran and the United States were negotiating key measures that could have staved off war. The President walked away from these discussions and chose war instead. President Trump flippantly acknowledged the possibility of American casualties, stating ‘that often happens in war.’”
As counterfactual as all this was, it will gain traction the longer this goes on. And so Ali Vaez of the International Crisis Groupexplained: “For the Islamic Republic, survival is a victory, even if it is a Pyrrhic one.”
Indeed. All they have to do is make it to November 2026 or November 2028. The Congressional Democrats and the establishment media will do the rest. This war won’t be decided in Tehran. It will be decided in Washington and New York.

The reports that I have seen… Iran is dug in…
Because they learned a lesson from the 8 year long Iraq/Iran War… with America supplying Iraq. Their people are proud and angered. Where there are many protests erupting in Iran too…
Evidently… Iran has a stockpile of weapons… and they can keep on for a while.
Meanwhile… reports are also saying…America and Israel are running low and needing restocking.
Where… Iran has taken out virtually every radar in the region. Meaning… detection is minimal for interception with the Iron Dome…
Also… Iran has been wasting their old weapons requiring Israel to use up their interception missiles…
Last I heard… Iran is now using their high tech weapons… the reports coming from Israel aren’t good.
We’ll see…
Maybe you could prove all these claims of yours by sourcing what you say….. like from your children’s website Goolag AI. Or did you write all of this crap yourself and then say it comes from Goolag AI.
Not only are you a religious fraud you are degenerating into a political fraud as well. That is how desperate you are to appear relevant. Mr. FOS
Intrepid… I don’t care what you think or say…
I study and research what’s going on. If you haven’t heard half of what I stated… good. That means others needed to hear it too…
Other reports are basically saying… Trump has his a$$ in a sling. Whereas he was saying it’d take until September… now he’s saying they’re gonna be wrapping things up here very soon. Who can trust what he’s saying? His narrative has shifted so many times on so many issues regarding this Iran war…
How’s stopping that Nuclear enrichment going? How’s that Regime change going?
Others are saying… he needs to back off and pull out… otherwise it’s be a never ending war like Iraq and Afghanistan was…
Others are saying this is the beginning of WWIII… others are saying this war will lead to Armageddon… <<< Personally… I don't believe either…
But… we all know how stupid you are… you don't have the ability to get informed…
May I suggest… taking a look at some You Tube videos… and learning something… anything would help your constant ignorance…
Now you can attack the sourcing….
Trump’s Economic Promises Timeline
8/9/24: “Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again, to bring down the prices of all goods.” NBC Montana, Trump Rally in Bozeman, MT, YouTube (August 9, 2024).
“Under my administration, we will be slashing energy and electricity prices by half within 12 months, at a maximum 18 months”
“Prices will come down. You just watch: They’ll come down, and they’ll come down fast, not only with insurance, with everything.”
PBS NewsHour, Trump Rally in North Carolina, YouTube (August 14, 2024).
The day I take the oath of office, I will rapidly drive prices down and we will make America affordable again. We’re going to make it affordable again.”
“We’re going to get your energy prices down. We’re going to get your energy prices down by 50%.”
PBS NewsHour, Trump speaks at campaign rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, YouTube (August 17, 2024).
9/5/24 @ 10:56 “We will bring our auto-making industry to the record levels of 37 years ago, and we’ll be able to do it very quickly through tariffs and other smart use of certain things that we have that other countries don’t.”
9/29/24
“We’re going to get the prices down. We have to get them down. It’s too much. Groceries, cars, everything. We’re going to get the prices down. While working Americans catch up, we are going to put a temporary cap on credit card interest rates at 10%. People are being made to pay 25%. Temporary ban.”
And China and Russia are feeding real time satellite images of U.S. and Israeli targets. China has given advanced hypersonic missiles to Iran to test their capacity against U.S. and Israeli defenses. The Iron Dome was completely useless when a hypersonic missile struck Tel Aviv.
This could be opening up WW3.
Some seven American death-casualties in some 10 days so far. WWII for the U.S. started out with some 2,00o or so at Pearl Harbor, building up to some 400,000+ by Sept. 1945. The first major battle the U.S. fought in WWI likely accumulated at least hundreds dead if not more. The first battle. It ended some 50,000 U.S. deaths later. Ditto for Korea and Indochina, more or less. Desert Storm produced a few hundred in roughly a month. Afghanistan/Iraq together accumulated a few thousand stretched over some 18 years. The country put up with those conflicts and their costs, each for years. And now people are bemoaning bitterly about ‘seven-in-ten’? Hey, war is war, and war is hard. Death is there from the get-go. We barely missed six more from friendly fire over Kuwait! The big things that have changed, however, are monetary costs and munitions expenditure; those have accelerated rapidly since around 1990. But admittedly, this one is becoming a waiting game. Who will run out of munitions first? Who will find the monetary costs stretched too thin first? Then there is the oil factor. How much more can gas prices rise before people really start to cry uncle? Even though they went to $4 and above while Pathetic Joe was in office, and without any major conflict the U.S. was involved in. Americans’ tolerance fuses grow increasingly short. The Iran mullah regime may be running out of missiles and drones, but remains hunkered down, surviving, maintaining their it’s-a-draw status in a grand geopolitical arm-wrestle match. Whose hand will eventually hit the table? Would. say, a sudden U.S. declaration of victory (and subsequent stand-down) in several more days without regime change actually mean Iran wins ‘de facto’? And why has there been no matching effort to get small arms and ammo to the Iranian people? They can’t ‘do their part’ without that. Conundrum, indeed, for the U.S. and Israel.
What you say is correct…
Sadly… the downvotes show how stupid the majority is in this world…
If we’re to believe the people who come here are more informed… it’s obvious they aren’t.
Some are saying this could be the avenue for the new Digital Bank reset… with the closing of the Hormuz crippling the world’s economy…
Iran is ready for a ground invasi0n… and waiting… and daring the US and whoever to invade…
It’ll be a mess… the IRGC has experience… even from America supplying Iraq withe chemical warfare…
Right now the people of Iran are ticked off… knowing America has been untrustworthy…
The mullahs. “We want to kill you”
The liberals, “let’s negotiate”
Trump, with a little hedging, has strongly signaled this will be a VERY short war, so if that doesn’t materialize, it will be carnage in November for Republicans.
Who end up in power in Iran is another worry. From what I’ve heard, the USA used the Islamic MEK to oust Assad in Syria in December 2024 under Biden, and the end result was a secular government is now under control of an Islamic, former jihadi who has formed deep ties with Islamic Saudi Arabia.
The msm pays short shrift to the millions the Trump family has benefited from financially from Saudi money…compare msm coverage of that to J6! Unlike other oil rich nations over there, the Saudis have prepared for oil transport by building a pipeline to their west coast to the Red Sea, so they can circumvent the Strait or Hormuz.
Follow the money.
The Islamic MEK is in Iran, and given its history in working with the USA, it is probably working with the USA now. Add to that, a lot of big media outlets have been giving it good publicity. So this could end up like Syria where it ends up with a Saudi-friendly, Islamic leader.
Latest reports…
Israel is getting pounded by Iran… the Iron Dome is spent… no more interceptors left.
Also… Bibi’s home was destroyed/bombed… and his brother is dead…
We’ll see…
Where do you get this info from, Iranian TV? 😃 Well, I am now in Ashkelon, Israel (10 miles from Gaza), and all these reports are total bs. The number of missile launches is no more than 20 per day, 90 percent of which are intercepted. Iranians run out of launchers as air force destroys dozens of them daily. It will be total game over for Iran and Hezbollah in another week or two.
Don’t you wish all that were true.
