The only surprising part of this story is that New York, in its current state, even bothered with bail. Considering the current state of play, he might well go on a tour meeting with members of Congress the way Mahmoud Khalil did.
Armani Charles, 23, was arraigned and released on $50,000 bail in connection with the alleged stabbing of a Jewish man near Chabad-Lubavitch world headquarters in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y., according to court records.
He was arrested following the December incident in which he allegedly made antisemitic statements before stabbing Elias Rosner, 35, in the chest. Rosner was hospitalized, telling the New York Post that his sweater likely saved his life.
“He brandished a knife. As soon as I saw it, I thought of my kids. They came at me again. I had enough time to get the sweater off and used it to block the blade,” he said.
According to Rosner, Charles declared before the stabbing, “I’m going to kill Jewish people,” and said, “We wouldn’t be in this mess if the Holocaust had happened.”
There’s not really a whole lot of ambiguity here because the stabbing was caught on video. But it’s not as if he did something truly dangerous like burn a koran or pull down an LGBTQ flag at Stonewall, so expect him to get a light tap on the wrist.
After all he was probably just an anti-Zionist.

Well … If the victim was a White Guy they’d just say he was Islamophobe,
and I doubt Khalil would even be charged.
I wonder if being “Jewish” still has enough value …
to convict and sentence Khalil for the attack.
Or if the situation has gotten so bad,
… the city will apologize for arresting the wrong person?
These types of People need t o be kept in Jail No Bail No Pardons No Clemency No Plea Bargains and No Parole ever
Too expensive. Denaturalize, remove visas and deport. Permanently.
Why isn’t he facing Federal hate crime charges?
Oh, that’s right, a cultural enricher attempting to kill a Jew doesn’t fall under those statutes. 🙁
Vigilante justice is always an option.
No justice is not an option.
