Dan Rather reverted to playing George Clooney’s idea of a fictional crusading liberal journalist and eventually the media, which by then had fewer standards than a zombie in a funeral parlor, embraced him as the prototype of a serious journalist, by which they meant, speaking out against Republicans.
Now Dan’s not so happy about the CBS sale/merger and Bari Weiss taking on an editorial role at CBS News.
Rather claimed that it “is a dark day in the halls of CBS News, where the portraits of television news pioneers once hung — Cronkite, Murrow, Sevareid, Collingwood. They were journalists who made television a trusted source of information. Whom and what are we to believe today?”
Definitely not Dan Rather. The Killian Memo was a decisive blow to the credibility of the network newscast.
Rather, who has a clear political agenda, claims that CBS News will be run by “someone with a clear political agenda.” He also complained that Bari Weiss is “not a reporter”.
Bari Weiss had a Substack which just sold for $150 million. Dan Rather has a Substack that no one cares about.
Now that’s funny! I don’t care who you are.

II had breakfast with one of those pioneers, Eric Severed in Newport News VA 1976, although from across the restaurant, he didn’t know it.

As Biden said. Democrats choose truth over facts. While the letter and events they described never happened in fact, the truth is that when Dan Rather squints his eyes, nods his head just right, and clenches his ass cheeks tightly enough, millions of viewers will believe it to be true. If enough people believe the lie to be true the facts don’t matter.

How many years has it been since Dan Bladder (aka, Rather) had any relevancy? And he still thinks his opinions matter? All I have to say is, wow! Somebody give that pompous a’hole a hind teat to suck on and tell him to sit down and STFU!

Professor Dan – not even you can make Dan Rather relevant in your satire. I read that Uncle Walter Cronkite did not think highly of Dan Rather. Uncle Walt thought he was a vapid 8×10 glossy. Dan Rather was never held in high regard by the public. A boring, icky persona that no one took seriously.
CBS fired him after actually pointing out the truth of President GW Bush’s National Guard service. No doubt that firing came from the Bush administration, which proves how vile main stream legacy media is.
Other than that, Dan Rather is Al Gore’s and Bill Clinton’s wing man.
