Here’s how the media covers House Democrats yelling, shouting, interrupting, holding up signs, chanting “KKK” and having to be thrown out.
And how the House Democrat leader reacts to it.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday went to bat for his members who protested and heckled President Trump from inside the House chamber during the State of the Union.
“I thought the Democratic response was appropriately restrained and forceful at the same period of time,” Jeffries said during a press conference at the House Democratic retreat on Wednesday.
“That was obvious to anybody who was watching,” the Democratic leader insisted.
So Jeffries’ definition of “appropriately restrained” is repeatedly disrupting the State of the Union. What would he consider less restrained? A full scale riot? The Democrat delegation putting on masks and setting the whole place on fire?
I imagine that they’re saving that for next year.
Restraint means not smashing furniture, attacking Republicans, tagging the walls, breaking statues or setting the building on fire, so, yes it was restrained.
And pulling the fire alarm.
Democratic Representative Jamaal Bowman of New York pulled a fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building on September 30, 2023, causing an evacuation. He claimed it was an accident while rushing to a vote, later pleading guilty to a misdemeanor, paying a $1,000 fine, and receiving a censure from the House.
It’s like “mostly peaceful “. If only 10% are heckling and screaming, that’s 90% who aren’t.

Perhaps he checked their seats for fecal matter, and, finding none, declared “restraint”.

To Jeffries, “restrained” means he couldn’t order the Capitol Police to arrest the Republicans and their guests for “trespassing” and “insurrection.”
At least we learned that “black people rent apes” from the fake Al Green before he was ejected for his “restraint” in the first five minutes. I didn’t know that. I didn’t even know there are ape rentals.
