Democracy has a dictionary definition, sure, but when Democrats invoke it (especially in sentences that include “protecting democracy” or “saving democracy”), they mean themselves.
When Biden and the Washington Post masthead talked about “democracy”, they meant the eternal rule of democrats.
And now that a fed-up Jeff Bezos trashed a third of the Post’s employees who had tried to arm wrestle him for the paper, it’s, you guessed it, another attack on democracy.

What does the employment status of a D.C. paper’s staffer have to do with a political system under which people are free to elect their own representatives?
Nothing. But if you understand democracy, as Democrats do, as a machine for electing Democrats, the media is indeed a “vital outpost of democracy” because it helps get out the vote for the democrats.
Their fancy name for this is calling the media the “guardians of democracy”, which is like calling the conservative media “the guardians of the republic”. What’s referred to there is a partisan communications arm, not a true institution.
The media is ranting and raving because Bezos, the founder of Amazon, fired some of these ‘guardians of democracy’,. thereby, in the words of the New Yorker’s loathsome editor, David Remnick, having strangled democracy or the prospects of his party,
Before we can put out from this pathetic spectacle of a corrupt trust bemoaning its own loss of power, consider how the media wrote in a passive voice and a vague attitude about the mass murder of tens of thousands in Iran.
And how Remnick writes about the fall of his own institution.
“As someone who worked happily at the Post for a decade a long time ago, and as an ardent reader of the paper, I am sick about all this. I feel like someone forced to watch an arsonist torch the house he grew up in. I cannot imagine how it must feel for the current staff and the hundreds forced to leave. If that is sentimentality or worse, well, then guilty as charged.”
The media hasn’t been this upset since it had to watch Hamas lose a war.
“Guardians of the democraps” would be the accurate description.
Ah, Yes. The Dirbagocrats. party of slavery, formed in 1848 by power mad extremists from the Republican party who wanted to expand slavery into what was then the West to expand their number of seats in the House of Representatives. Counting slaves as half a person wasn’t doing it because there just weren’t very many of them, contrary to the lies we’re constantly told by the D-Bags and their fake news media who also lie that America and other “Western” countries are democracies (none exist or ever have) and the Dirtbagocrat party is the “Democratic” party. “Democratic” is an adjective, not a noun, used as Newspeak to trick gullible Americans into the false belief that America is a democracy represented by the Dirtbagocrat party.
And Presidents Jackson and Jefferson were never D-Bags even though Jackson started his term in 1849. The lie of a “Democratic Republican” party or a Jeffersonian Republic” one are incredibly stupid lies concocted by the D-Bags and perpetuated by their fake news media and government “schools,” which as we all know are actually dark, satanic indoctrination mills. The Republican party has the nickname “Grand Old Party” for a reason, and that reason isn’t because it was ever democratic in any way.
The D-Bags and their forces are still power mad of course. Power, control and ill gained wealth are all they care about and ever have cared about. They’re scum, they really are.
And perversely, the majority of black Americans support them even after slavery, the Missouri Compromise, the Civil War, their creation of the KKK, and Jim Crow laws, opposition to the Civil rights Act and the creation of the welfare state which caused the decimation of black nuclear families and an illegitimate birth rate of over 80%. Corrupt D-Bag, Lyndon Johnson, didn’t enact his “great Society” to help blacks, he did it to buy their formerly Republican votes, and it worked.
Democracy can’t die because it never existed, but lies can and should die, along with the Dirtbagocrat party and most of its stupid and unethical supporters.

It is obvious. HAMAS lose didn’t cripple their propaganda machine Bezos did.
Unfortunately, Hamas hasn’t lost yet. Severely damaged, but still extant. Israel should have expelled all of the Gazans and annexed Gaza. That would have been Hamas losing a war.
The demented Democ-rat political party and its legacy media enablers remind me of the protagonists in Cervantes’ 17th century proto-novel, “Don Quixote;” namely, delusional knight-errant Don Quixote de la Mancha and his goofy flunky, Sancho Panza. Legacy media is destroying itself in pursuit of a made-up democracy (Democracy, Inc.) that only exists in the mind of Democ-rat politicians. Confusing windmills with imaginary dragons (threats to chivalry or threats to Democracy, Inc.) engenders a common nemesis, then and now: Literacy. Whereas Don Quixote lost his mind through reading romantic fiction literally, legacy media has lost its way because Democ-rat voters have stopped reading at all: “woke” folks prefer smartphone memes to the printed word. Yes, post-literacy signals the death of legacy media such as the Washington Post, the demented Democ-rat political party’s counterpart to Don Quixote’s goofy flunky, Sancho Panza.
