Dems have been calling for ICE body cameras, but as I noted a few days ago...
Body cameras have far more consistently proven that law enforcement acted correctly than otherwise. There’s a reason that Secretary Noem is happy to go along with the idea and why most police departments realized that body cams were a good thing once the impact became clear. In both the Renee Good and Alex Pretti cases, it was cameras and body cameras that provided the damning evidence that dismantled the ‘bloody shirt’ that the media was waving hysterically after the two radicals attacked law enforcement.
Now, the Dems are already pivoting to warning about the dangers of ICE body cameras…
A push to put body cameras on all ICE agents has Democrats running headlong into a new problem: fear that the technology will provide another avenue for mass surveillance of protesters. Congressional Democratic leaders have made universal use of body cameras one of their prime demands for imposing accountability on Immigration and Customs Enforcement, especially after federal agents fatally shot two American citizens in Minneapolis. But after an outcry from privacy advocates that surveillance tools will allow ICE agents to identify and track protesters, Democrats are also calling for restrictions on how the body cameras can be used.
“Mass surveillance”.
What they really mean is that having footage of their riots on cameras would be bad for their rioters who are also their activist base. Having actual footage of ICE raids hurts their purpose, dismantling immigration law enforcement, more than it helps it.
If we didn’t have video footage of Good ramming law enforcement and Pretti assaulting law enforcement, all we’d have are the lies that the media tells.
That’s what they’re calling “mass surveillance”.
They’re worried ICE body cameras are a means of capturing evidence of their crimes.
I am for any camera that gives us new and entertaining angles of commies getting wrecked.

Yes, those tardmos tend to believe their own false narratives. Many of them actually thought and many of them still do think that cops brutalize innocent “protesters,” who are often violent rioters, particularly seditionist/terrorist groups such as Black Lies Murder, Antifa and now the paid anti-Ice oikophobes.
It’s hard to claim human turds like Good and Pretti were innocent victims when the police body cams show they were the exact opposite.
Like you, I heartily approve of police body cams. They prove lefty protesters and rioters are inveterate liars and they help keep the occasional bad cops in line. They’re a very effective public tool.
When I was a teenager, body cams didn’t exist. The cops back then in Riverside CA, where I grew up except for two years in Milwaukee WI when I was seven and eight, used to harass us on a regular basis for no reason.
Luckily I’m not a criminal so I don’t have anything to worry about. When I occasionally run into cops in public they’re friendly and polite. So are Valley Transportation Authority and city employees. San Jose is alright.
Two other leftist demands are no face coverings for ICE and clear identification of who each ICE officer is. Only the leftist law breakers are to be anonymous.
It makes doxxing so much easier. Then the families of ICE officers can be threatened discouraging people from working for ICE. (That’s terrorism)

Now the Dems are finally getting smart. Years ago we were getting so many complaints about police brutality and such that the Dems demanded Bodycams. After that citizen complaints went down about 75% 🙂

Our town used to have this Ice Vending Machine insert 75 cents(Three Quarters)and you got a Block of Ice
We used to have those block of ice vending machines also. I guess boat owners used them to keep their drinks cold when they took their boats out sailing on SF Bay.
