Everyone by now has seen the claims that Rep. Eric Swalwell sexually harassed women and allegedly raped at least one of them.
Did he do it? I’m not going to pretend to be really surprised if he did it. Looking at a picture of Swalwell or watching him speak, he would probably be voted ‘Most Likely to Commit Drunken Rape’.
According to Steven Tavares of East Bay Insider, this was known all along…
I’ve covered Eric Swawell since he was a member of the Dublin City Council. Shortly after being elected to Congress in 2013, his behavior towards women was known by all levels of our local government and the Alameda County Democratic Party.
Good thing we were all told about it back in 2013 wasn’t it?
But the alleged rape happened in 2024. It wasn’t reported and no one had a problem with Swalwell until he became the gubernatorial frontrunner in California. Some have pointed out that the allegations appear to have originated with political allies of former Rep. Katie Porter whose unlikability and unelectability run side by side, but who has a mean streak almost as wide as… well her.
There are two basic possibilities here.
1. Former Rep Porter’s allies are setting Swalwell up
2. Swalwell did it, but some of those same allies sat on this information until it was politically useful, creating a firestorm and manufacturing a demand for a female candidate. (Even though Porter is notorious for mistreating female staffers.)
When allegations emerge just in time to sideline a candidate, it doesn’t mean the party takes sexual harassment seriously. It means it covers up sexual harassment and even sexual assault until it’s politically useful.
The Democrats could run Fang Fang.

As far I as I can remember people have talked about the weaponization of news for 10 years, 20 years, or more. Limbaugh noted that many reporters saved “juicy” bits for their books instead of for reporting in newspapers or magazines.
They do not report news, when they get it or can verify it through 2 credible sources, but when the timing is good for the Democrat Party as whole.the “news wing” of the Democrat Party (The MSM) makes these decisions on a routine basis.
What if all leading Democrats contenders have dirt on each other and it is a Mexican Standoff?
What if the Chinese (CCCP) has all the same dirt and picks the candidate for the Democrat nominee?
This news “timing” has got to stop!
One classic case you wrote about was when the RNC won decisively in ’94.
They enjoyed turncoat Senator Bob Packwood being a reliable vote for abortion & thorn in Reagan’s side.
But then the Republicans swept both houses
Democrats needed to regain seats – anywhere they could get.
Bob Packwood suddenly became expendable and the courtier press turned on him and did it hard. (His predatory acts on staffers had been previously covered up.)
His press coverage turned from glowing praise to evisceration over night.
He resigned in ’95.

Look, we know one has to be a sociopath and a pathological liar to run for politics in USA.
My two exceptions are President Donald J. Trump and Senator John Fetterman.
Gruesome NewScam and Swallowell would make a wonderful ticket for the 2028 election.
Just so my dream team of JD Vance and Marco Rubio can win in the biggest landslide. By the time POTUS 47’s term is up, the stellar results will turn any fence sitting I dunno Democrat registered and voting American say, I want to keep the winning and best life USA citizens ever had going.
After 2 terms of Vance and Rubio, Marco Rubio runs for POTUS with, I dunno, maybe Kari Lake as his running mate.

Leftists have no problem getting rid of people who leave them to join the other side or get in the way of what they want. Trump was a Democrat and contributed to many campaigns, but as soon as he recognized they were nuts and left he became an arch enemy. So now Swalwell is no longer useful, it’s attack mode. He has no friends anymore in the DNC. So the bus is running over him and won’t be any tears shed here.
