On September 25, 2025, Joanne Chesimard, a racist terrorist linked to a number of robberies, the attempted murder of several New York City police officers and the murder of a New Jersey State Trooper finally breathed her last.

Chesimard, known as Assata Shakur had been a member of the Black Liberation Army, a Marxist-Leninist domestic terror group linked to the Weathermen, and had become an icon for Black Lives Matter which used her call for racial warfare as its creed and its motto.

That same quote was repeated and hailed by members of Congress and influential elements of the Democrats after her death in Communist Cuba where she had fled justice and lived for decades under the protection of its brutal regime.

“If there is a single truth in this world, it is that Assata died a free woman,” Rep. Yvette Clarke tweeted, neglecting to mention that was because the BLA’s racist terrorists broke in, took hostages and helped her escape. “May she rest in power and paradise for all eternity.”

“It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains,” Rep. Ayanna Pressley tweeted. “Rest in Peace and Power, Assata Shakur.”

That motto appeared in Shakur’s biography just after she indirectly mentioned the shootout that killed Trooper Werner Foerster and hailed the “guerrillas” of her Black Liberation Army terrorist group. The phrase just before it is, “We must gain our liberation by any means necessary”.

The motto was followed by a dedication to, among other racist terrorists, Mark Essex, who opened fire on New Year’s Eve in New Orleans, after announcing that he just wanted to kill white people. His victims included a honeymooning couple. Betty Steagall was shot in the back of her head while embracing her murdered husband. Essex left a Pan-African flag lying near the corpses of the doctor and his wife. This is what Rep. Pressley and other Dems now support.

Rep. Pressley did not just deliver these remarks anywhere but at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 54th legislative conference reflecting the normalization of support for racist black nationalist hate groups and the murder of law enforcement officers by Marxist terrorists.

More tributes poured in from key elements of the radicalized Democrat political machine.

The Democratic Socialists of America, who have several members in Congress, most prominently AOC, who reportedly intends to run for senator or president, as well as Rep. Rashida Tlaib and Rep. Greg Casar, and numerous local elected officials across the country, as well as mayoral nominees Zohran Mamdani in New York City and Omar Fateh in Minneapolis, hailed Chesimard’s legacy of murdering police officers, “by recognizing our duty to fight for our freedom, to win, to love and protect one another because we have nothing to lose but our chains.”

The DSA also praised Communist Cuba, falsely claiming that “the American state brutally oppressed Assata and her Black Panther Party Comrades. The Cubans welcomed her and other Black Revolutionaries with asylum, and their solidarity and loyalty allowed Assata to live out her days in Havana.” Shakur was only able to escape because the system had bent over backward to give her multiple trials and allow visitors unrestricted access to the racist terrorist.

Black Lives Matter and other racist hate groups also venerated Chesimard. Melina Abdullah, the racist leader of the largest functioning BLM network, and a good friend of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, also celebrated the cop killer. “May we do the work in her honor,” she tweeted.

“May our work be righteous and brave as we fight in her honor and memory,” her splinter BLM Grassroots chapter gushed.

The People’s Forum, a Chinese Communist front group that had been holding pro-Hamas protests in New York City, declared that they were honoring the cop-killer and robber “as a tireless champion of the people and as a symbol of hope and resistance for millions around the world in urgent fight against racism, police brutality, US imperialism, and white supremacy.” Its interlinked Code Pink group likewise claimed that the terrorist “inspires and pushes all of us in the struggle for a better world.”

The Chicago Teachers’ Union, whose activist figure, Mayor Brandon Johnson, currently runs the city, shared its support for murdering police officers specifically and white people in general.

“Rest in Power, Rest in Peace, Assata Shakur. Today we honor the life and legacy of a revolutionary fighter, a fierce writer, a revered elder of Black liberation, and a leader of freedom whose spirit continues to live in our struggle. Assata refused to be silenced. She taught us that ‘It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains,’” the radical union, which has a death grip on Chicago’s educational system and its political system, broadcast.

If this is what the CTU says in public, imagine what it’s teaching children in the classroom.

Johnson, who had recently called law enforcement a “sickness” called the cop-killer “an important person in the black liberation movement.”

The Democrats have openly become a party of cop killers and terrorists. While a handful of Dems dissented from this celebration of racist terrorism and Marxist massacres, they are becoming a dwindling minority in a party that is rapidly normalizing the worst possible crimes.

When members of Congress and the radical DSA party that is steering the Democrats celebrate racist murders and repeat a motto dedicated to the killer of a woman on her honeymoon, this is a state of open evil that no nation can survive for very long.

A party whose members pledge to “carry on the fight” of the killers of Trooper Werner Foerster, of Robert Steagall, a young doctor who tried to save his wife by rushing the killer, of Betty Steagall, who was murdered while kneeling over his body, is not any fundamentally different than the KKK or the BLA.

And should be treated just like it.
