In the least surprising news ever, the union of leftist professional virtue signalers known colloquially as Hollywood joined together to protest for open borders and Hamas for the twentieth time while ignoring actual courageous protesters being massacred in Iran.
The Golden Globes, an event thrown by foreign media in Hollywood to give prizes to celebrities for screwing up their faces on camera, is mostly irrelevant, especially it was gutted in the BLM era over (in part) one of my articles about Hollywood’s BLM ties, but serves as a forum for movie stars to show off their latest fashions, for celebrities to show off their latest awkward jokes, and their even more awkward causes.
The media covered the expected displays of anti-ICE virtue signaling by Mark Ruffalo, who would be doing the occasional appearance on hour long network crime shows if it wasn’t for Marvel’s miscasting, Natasha Lyonne, who may or may not have recovered from her past insane tantrums and assorted people you’ve probably never heard of.
Some of them wore ICE OUT pins at the gala awards ceremony, probably worried that ICE was about to break in and take away their illegal alien drivers, hairdressers or prostitutes.
Hannah Einbinder (spelling? who knows? who cares?) that girl from Hacks, that show that 0.0004% of the country watches, showed up once again with her anti-Israel pin after falsely accusing Israel of genocide for fighting Hamas. No mention of Iran where some estimate that 2,000 protesters were killed fighting against the state sponsor of Hamas.
Some of the elderly folks scrambled to catch up.
Nominee Jean Smart, who has previously won two Globes for her role as Deborah Vance in the TV show Hacks, said it was hard to think about work in the wake of the killings. She wasn’t wearing a pin on the carpet but had added one to her outfit by the time she accepted her award on stage.
“Everything’s kind of a little bit overshadowed with what’s going on in our country. I feel like we’re kind of at a turning point in this country,” the acclaimed actress said in a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight. “I hope people can keep their heads. It’s going to take a lot of courage, and a lot of restraint… It’s very concerning.”
Hey kids, I’m down with your cause. Whatever it is. So long as it’s not anything controversial like the right of girls to play sports or the right of women in Iran not to wear hijabs.

To give you some context, more protesters died in Iran than the number of young people who watch Hacks. The demo rating for the 18-49 crowd is 39,000. Most of that will be in the top of the age demo. Now probably most younger viewers are streaming it. Maybe. Who knows. Streamers are not transparent. But we do know that pretty much no one outside Hollywood watches Hacks.
