Mayor Alice Wallace of Winnsboro, Louisiana was named one of the ‘most remarkable women’ of 2023 after becoming the first black female mayor elected in the town on a promise of ‘change’.
She didn’t mention what kind of change.
Winnsboro Mayor Alice Wallace said that she will be “vindicated” of Medicaid fraud charges in a Facebook post following her arrest April 21 by Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill with the town’s mayor’s election three weeks away.
Wallace is charged with six counts of government benefits fraud in what Murrill described as a Medicaid fraud scheme in which the mayor is accused of illegally securing $75,000 in benefits from 2021 through 2026.
Agents said their investigation showed Wallace and her dependent continuously used Medicaid benefits from 2021 through 2026 while she received a salary that would have made her ineligible to receive Medicaid benefits.
Wallace declined to comment when reached by USA Today Network by phone April 22, but an April 21 post on her Facebook page said, “They just energized Team Wallace…”
“It’s election time; what else you got! I’m still standing!!” the post said.
Wallace, a Democrat, is facing two Democratic opponents in the May 16 election – Elbert “Poke” Lawrence and Muriel “Missy” Lynch.
“Still gonna win!!” the post on Wallace’s Facebook page read.
“I do believe that I will be vindicated,” the post said.
“The devil is trying to embarrass and discredit leadership to possess power again through those who know nothing,,that way they can run it!!” the post continued.
She’ll probably win too to become even more historic.
We definitely need more women in political offices.
A few that are honest and competent would be nice, but maybe just asking too much.
What is it with Democrats, especially black females, that think that taxpayer money is their personal checking account? Possibly because they’re never convicted of anything ?

Committing welfare fraud for a few years before getting caught is a huge resume enhancer for a Democrat politician.
this sort of thing has become epidemic among the Deimoncrat’s favored folk. Week after week it is something like this on the news…. but NOT the LSM of course.
Now….let’s get even MORE historic….and throw her in jail for a very LOOOONG time.
All of this fraud that is committed using Government programs is viewed as a badge of honor to a portion of the public. I suppose they don’t realize they are stealing from taxpayers. Or maybe they do, but don’t pay any taxes anyway so why should they care?
She’s so stupid she hasn’t (yet) claimed that the only reason she’s being prosecuted is because she’s a black female.
Apparently, if you’re from an “oppressed” group fraud is OK. In fact, if there’s any “sin” here it is in objecting to the theft or even pointing it out…..

Growing up feeling like the victims of “racism” is like being given a lifetime free pass at grifting. Grifting is culturally acceptable for many in the Black community who have rage against the past while also committing crimes against the innocent today. These are justified by disregarding the humanity of others as they feel was previously done to them while arrogantly calling law-abiding people SUCKERS!
Like the Democrats in all their various stripes, the use of other people’s money is one of the fundamentals repeatedly used to justify their ongoing theft from both the state and federal taxpayers.
Given this context, getting caught is an inconvenience but never a reason to stop doing it.
The recidivism by Black criminals is just another arm of this very same thing. So what if whites, other ethnicities, seniors, those disabled and children are severely injured or murdered. They believe all crimes they commit are our fault. When all responsibility for your conduct is eliminated, the stage has been set for criminal marauders like these to feel themselves permitted to do whatever they want. It’s how the left has created their warriors against freedom embracing Marxism. Sadly, none of them recognize the choke collar they are willingly wearing. Sooner or later, their leaders will engage in this same redistribution of this wealth, the bulk of which will be illegally, confiscated leaving them eking out a meager subsistence in the ideological chains they have chosen to wear.
Reaping and sowing are laws in our universe and what goes around does actually come around. Sadly, both Blacks and leftists have learned nothing. They should all be given one-way tickets to North Korea, as a shining example of their Marxist Communism having been fully applied. However, their freedoms, rights and autonomy will be gone and any speaking with others of their opinions is punishable by death. Their meager subsistence will include starvation, which is normal there and grifting is the daily foraging to stave off hunger.
I keep saying ad nauseum, who specifically in government is failing in their jobs to watch our money and look for the fraud ? We never ever hear anything. We want names, we want accountability.
This demographic can’t be embarrassed or humiliated by their criminality that is ruining the Country.
But what should we expect? Their “reparations” are going nowhere, so they have to devise other ways to defraud us.
These are America’s “blacks” – the ones white people owe everything to, because they “built our country”, right?
C’mon…lock ’em up. Unacceptable.
