How Israel Tracked Ayatollah Khamenei

He didn't stand a chance.

Ayatollah Khamenei knew he was a target — Israel’s most important — and he took great care not to let his movements be known. He had several places where he believed himself to be secure, including some hideouts built deep underground, under apartment blocks, and of course in his enormous compound in the middle of Tehran. He varied his movements , moving from meetings in one place to meetings in another, and varied, too, the places where he slept. Israel hacked into Tehran’s traffic cameras in order to surveil the daily life of senior Iranian figures in preparation for Operation Roaring Lion, according to a report by the Financial Times published on Monday.

The report said that Israeli intelligence mapped out a “life pattern” for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his security personnel, including travel routes, hours of activity, and the identities of the senior figures who were usually with the late Iranian leader, who was killed in an airstrike on Saturday.

The report also mentions that Israel used artificial intelligence tools, alongside algorithms, to sort through vast amounts of information that was gathered about the Iranian leadership and its movements.

Additionally, the CIA provided another human source to certify the exact location where Khamenei was set to be on the day of his assassination….

Think of how much effort went into this assassination. First, recording Khamenei’s every waking moment, what was his standard routine and what could happen that would break that routine, the exact time of his waking, having breakfast (where? What did he have to eat? Who was there with him?), the route he took to whichever one of his many offices he chose to visit that day, and where he would be meeting with which officials. After years of this, the Israelis had established what the Mossad called a “life pattern” for Khamenei, his security detail, and the senior officials who normally accompanied him.

The Israelis used AI tools and algorithms to sort through all the data about the supreme leader and his associates that had been so laboriously accumulated. The supreme leader’s killing may have been the first assassination in history where AI played an essential role.

The Americans also played a part in Khamenei’s unlamented demise. They had an agent on the inside who confirmed for the Israelis the exact place Khamenei would be on the date selected for his assassination.

Now the supreme leader, as a “martyr,” and despite his advanced age, must now be enjoying his 72 virgins in jannah. And about 85 of the 90 million Iranians are enjoying his removal from their midst. Meanwhile, Mossad and its helpmeet inside Iran working for the CIA are no doubt quietly satisfied that it all went according to plan. The supreme leader, along with his wife, daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter, and forty of Iran’s most senior leaders, both civilian and military, have been blown to smithereens.

    Men are mortal, but their religions can live on not only for thousands of years, but indefinitely, after they’re dead.

        Does it matter? Call it a religion, or a totalitarian regime. There are over a billion followers of Islam. You can’t kill all of them, and many in those families will continue to follow Islam.

          Ahhh, actually Duval, there are more like 2 billion Muslims on planet earth, and if only 10% are ‘radical (but it’s more like 50%), that is 200 million Islamists that want you dead, your wife in a burka and everyone subject to Sharia Law.

      You finally did it THX 1138. You made a comment that I gave you a thumbs up. Of course as Rodney Dangerfield, who I walked and talked with once, talked about thumbs up. Well, this is not late night at the comedy club so you can google Rodney’s comment.
      Indeed, mindsets cannot be blown to smithereens. I knew a family with the last name Smithereens. I don’t know their ancestry, but their house was a daily nuclear blast.
      I understand the theme of your comment but the article did not mention blowin Izzylum to smithereens.
      GOD and Jesus are capitalist and zionist. This is pointed out in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
      From my educated and life experience perspective, no religion will exist in Heaven and Eternity. Communism will not exist in Eternity which I assume also means we will clearly know what mindsets will be apparent and easy to move about in Eternal life.

        Was that supposed to substitute for logic or a defense to apply logic and the answer is right there in front of our faces THX? Is it really that complex why anyone would fear death to you? Are there as many answers as there are people? Like wealthy and middle class slimes line up to volunteer to be the most hardcore suicide allah death bro similar to the Japaneese and the Emperor having to outlaw Hari Kari because it could decimate the male population of a village. Frickn pop psychology to the point of being superstitious. But then you’re the deep one.

        we who DO believe in eternal existence beyond death down here rnally with our Lord are not the least bit worried about what happens “up there”. We KNOW beyond the slightest doubt that we will live eternally with our Lord. That in view, what is there to worry over?

      Remember that in the culture (I’m using culture for a lack of better description that doesn’t require a 3,000 word essay) that produced islam a girl was married off and ceased to be a virgin the moment she arrived at menarche.

      So those 72 virgins are little girls.

      Mind you, so were the virgin daughters Lot offered the mob to go away and leave him in private with the angels.

    I can’t help being jaw-droppingly impressed by the incredibly clever methods used by “them shrewd, smart Jooz,” and by their perfect, astonishing success, far beyond anything our own CIA could have accomplished or even would have dared to attempt.

    But at the same time, I can’t help feeling more than a little uneasy about the public disclosure of their Sources and Methods, which are normally kept inviolably Top Secret. I hope that the Mossad cleared, and approved, these disclosures as “no threat to us or to future operations” before they were released to the public.

    I think a better response by Bibi, the IDF, and the Mossad would have been a bewildered shrug and a knowing grin when asked how they knew exactly where the Ayatollah and his fellow terrorists would be when Israel’s missiles struck and vaporized these richly deserving targets.

    Am I alone in that worry?

      Not worry ,,, telling us WHAT they did is a far cry from telling the world HOW they did it … As a result, I doubt any secrets have been spilled … The Iranians would have suspected all along that their Supreme Leader was being tracked — but the fact they were powerless to stop it is what makes it all so delicious! … (kinda sorta like those pagers the Israelis got into Hezbollah’s hands!)

      No, I agree, hacking the traffic cameras to watch the Ayatollah 24/7 was brilliant. Also, in the Nancy Gutherie case, we didn’t know that the ring cameras at your front door are still recording even when you don’t have a subscription. These methods should have been kept secret. For example, if little rocket man in N .Korea had traffic cameras near his bunker, we can bet they are all gone now.

    According to the worldview of the House of Islam , no official of that “mullah regime” of Iran really have any right weep for or to blame Israel for the death of Khamenei . For when gets down to basic Quran theology which is the Quran based worldview the one who is really to blame and is responsible for the killing of Khamenei is the god of Islam, Allah. Since such Muslims really liked that tyrant and view his death as tragic disaster For according to the Quran, Allah was responsible for killing Khamenei. So the Muslims of that Islamic tyranny should seek revenge on Allah.

    For the Qu ‘ran teaches in Surah 57:22. “No misfortune [disaster] can happen on earth or in your souls but is recorded in a decree [Qu ‘ran ] before [in eternity ] We [Allah] bring it into existence: that is easy for Allah.”

    So such Muslims should really blame their god, Allah for killing of that ayatollah.

    That’s all well and good, but the secret, true tracking was accomplished by the same traffic cameras, but they were monitoring goats and sheep as they were moved around the city. You know those frisky leaders, need some rest and ‘relaxation’ almost every day….

    Shuush! They are still killing all the animals the Israelis trained as spies. Well mostly still rounding up for questioning before execution. The Iranian intelligence agency is mimicking Noah’s ark more than a dedicated terror instrument used to suppress the Iranian people. At this point, it is rumored they still have not broken any of the animals into confessing.
