Gov. Katie Hobbs (Above) just vetoed public safety legislation advancing cooperation with ICE in Arizona. Here’s what she really voted for.
Two suspects have been arrested after an alleged ambush on deputies and police officers over the weekend, authorities announced Wednesday.
One of the suspects is 21-year-old Alex Heredia-Rivera, according to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO).
The other suspect, a 17-year-old male, is in the country illegally and under a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer, according to YCSO. Also known as an ICE hold, this notice is sent to law enforcement agencies when ICE identifies someone in custody who may be removable from the U.S.
The two are accused of carrying out an ambush shooting targeting YCSO deputies and Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) officers early Sunday morning, YCSO said.
Extensive investigative work has linked the weapons used in the ambush to a previous drive-by shooting in Castle Canyon Mesa on November 15th, as well as other incidents across Arizona
When you don’t turn over illegal alien criminals, people suffer. Including law enforcement personnel on the front lines of the illegal alien wars.
The simplest solution to illegal immigration was to wait until someone was arrested for something else, then check their ID and such. If an illegal they could be offered the option of deportation instead of trial and prison. That is a win-win, the illegal gets to go home and the USA gets spared the expense of trial and imprisonment.

Hobbs has made her political career one of vetoing anything the legislatures passes. Arizona should be ashamed of itself letting her run elections, including her own, while run for office.
