They could rely on endless volleys of tear gas. They could shoot rubber bullets. They could aim at the legs of the protesters, to render them immobile. But instead, the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran are deliberately firing at protesters’ eyes to blind them, or at their heads to kill them. Doctors in Iran claim that the security forces are determined to cause the severest of injuries, or death.

Iranian security forces are deliberately firing at protesters’ heads to cause them debilitating injuries, local doctors have claimed, citing wounds inflicted on hundreds of patients they have treated.
Over 400 eye wounds from gunshots have been documented at a Tehran hospital by an ophthalmologist working there, according to the Guardian.
The British newspaper reported Tuesday that it received three messages from doctors about conditions in hospitals, which they say have been overwhelmed by demonstrators with gunshot wounds — most of them to the eyes and head.
Security forces have been seen using shotguns to fire metal pellets at protesters, as well as rifles with more lethal ammunition, according to the report.
“[Security forces] are deliberately shooting at the head and the eyes. They want to damage the head and the eyes so they can no longer see, the same thing they did in [2022],” one of the doctors was quoted as saying, referring to anti-government protests at the time.
According to the doctor, many of the injured had to have their eyes removed and were blinded as a result….
The Iran International news site, which is based in the UK and is critical of the Islamic Republic, has claimed at least 12,000 people have been killed in recent days — far beyond any other report. The site claimed this is the estimate used internally by Iran’s own security authorities.
The real figure, according to Iranian sources abroad with contacts across Iran, is closer to 20,000.
The regime’s enforcers are not trying just to stop the protests, which they could so easily do by using tear gas and rubber bullets, or in some cases, by shooting pellets at the legs of protesters to stop them from marching. No, they aim their guns at the eyes and the heads of the protesters, to blind them or to kill them. This will not be forgotten when the regime falls, whether that happens next month or next year. And there will be a terrible vengeance wreaked on all those who took part in this cruelest of maimings and these murders.
This will stop when the Iranian people are supported and not the psychopaths who call themselves religious leaders. I wish Trump would SHUT THE HELL UP! Again, he makes empty threats and clacks his supposed support for the Iranian people, yet here they are again being destroyed because the world watches and does NOTHING!! The absolute anger I feel as Trump plays word games while these people are murdered. WHY???

The one thing you don’t do where middle eastern countries are involved is run your mouth off if you haven’t decided what you’re going to do. How about you establish your street cred by telling us about Obama doing nothing but run his mouth – AND FUND IRAN AT THE SAME TIME WHILE IT WAS KILLING AMERICANS IN AFGHANISTAN during the 2009 Green Revolution street protests.
Or tell us about Biden doing nothing but run his mouth i.e. “Just don’t…” – WHILE TRYING TO BUY ANOTHER “NUCLEAR WEAPONS TREATY” – during the 2022 Mahsa Amini street protests.
Any similar concerns you expressed during those protests about Obama and Biden also angrily saying you were ashamed and they also needing “bleeping muzzles”?
It’s completely legitimate to criticize Trump – or anyone else on an issue. With Trump, I have been doing it since his first run for the GOP nomination.
However, when it’s him versus a Democrat as president, I’ll continue supporting him on everything he’s doing far more right than wrong while criticizing in hopes of getting better performance from him as my president.
Rational criticism is not the same as an emotional diatribe while having a Karen moment while bagging on your target.

Why isn’t anyone asking where the UN peacekeepers are?
There’s a very long process before the UN’s membership approves of a peacekeeping mission. They have an explanatory page on that if you go to their website.
For some fun background info, if you go to the UN’s archives, you’ll discover that the legitimate elected government of Afghanistan begged the UN in the four years prior to 9/11 for UN peacekeepers.
The appeal they put before the UN said that the Taliban at that time were an invading army of foreign Caliphate terrorists. It wasn’t a civil war; few were actually from Afghanistan. This went on in the previous years while the hajjis bombed our embassies in Africa, bombed the USS Cole, etc.
And every single time they said they couldn’t control the hajji terrorists of the world flocking to the Taliban in hopes they could conquer Afghanistan to begin the new Caliphate, we voted down that resolution for peacekeepers. Somewhat in our favor, so did most of the other country’s on the Security Council at that time.
Now people are saying “where’s the UN peacekeepers” with no idea of how that process works.
BTW, if you believe peacekeepers are feckless, you should amuse yourself reading how the Nepalese and Polish peacekeepers during Operation Harmony in Bosnia back in 1993 reacted to the Serbs decided they’d just drive them out of the UNPAs they were protecting so they could slaughter the Muslim inhabitants.
That was a FAFO before that meme was ever thought of. Somebody should have told them those Polish paratroopers didn’t have a lot of love for the formerly communist Serbs, and those tiny little Nepalese guys were essentially Ghurkas wearing a different uniform.

Not all people claiming to be Republicans are the same, nor are all peacekeepers on UN peacekeeping missions. Nor are all UN missions, like the Korean War, the same kind of Chapter 7 UN missions as UN observers watching without weapons on the Golan Heights for 40+ years.

In addition, the article further reports, “the death resulted from coordinated operation carried out primarily by Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Basij forces not from spontaneous clashes. Sources indicate that the operation was conducted under the direct orders from Ayatollah Khamenei.”
That wicked death –inflecting Khamenei and the other Islamic despots using their murdering criminals in uniform “security forces’ against the Iranian people who are justly and righteously revolting against that horrendously brutal cruel and deadly tyrannical Islamic regimes of Iran is outrageous and wrong.
