The very bare minimum for a ‘ceasefire’ anywhere is that the firing must ‘cease’. If the firing hasn’t ceased, it’s not a ceasefire. Sure the firing occasionally ceases, but firing always occasionally ceases. Even in the hottest of wars.
The bottom line is that apart from returning some bodies, Hamas has done nothing to comply with the ceasefire. It has continued launching attacks. Israel in response has struck Hamas.
Hamas has made it clear that it will not disarm. Qatar, which negotiated the fake ‘ceasefire’, backed up the demands of its Hamas proxy at the Doha Forum, for a complete Israeli withdrawal until Hamas does anything. (And then Hamas won’t do anything anyway.)
The Muslim countries that were supposed to form the international force that was going to disarm Hamas and police Gaza have made it abundantly clear that they won’t disarm Hamas or police Gaza.
Despite the fact that there’s no functioning ceasefire or any possibility of moving to a second phase of the non-deal, the Trump administration reportedly wants to announce that it’s moving to the second phase on Christmas. While the timing for that looks great from a PR standpoint, it doesn’t reflect any kind of actual reality on the ground.
Nevertheless, the Trump administration really wants to announce Phase 2 and its ‘Board of Peace’ to run Gaza. (All we know about the ‘board’ is that former UK PM Tony Blair is no longer on it because Muslim countries objected to him). Israel is being reportedly pressured to go along so we can have another PR spectacle like the ceasefire deal that is completely detached from reality and acts as cover for a Hamas takeover.
Worse still, the so-called ISF international force is set to consist of Turkey, an Islamic terror state which recently threatened to nuke Israel, Egypt, which has coordinated with the Muslim Brotherhood, and other Muslim countries, and it will not be moving to disarm Hamas, rather it’s moving into parts of Gaza controlled by Israel. Israel will withdraw, and this ISF is supposed to then turn over control to the Gaza ‘Board of Peace’. In reality this supposed parallel government will just be a front for Hamas and the PLO.
And once Israel withdraws, it’ll be much harder to come back. Hamas is not only not being disarmed, but its next attacks and weapons construction will take place under the cover of occupying Muslim forces.
The United States needs to pull out of this farce before it spins out of control into violence and war on a much larger scale. There’s no ceasefire and moving to the next phase will make it worse. If we keep going down this road, instead of a war in Gaza, we could be looking at a regional war involving Israel, Egypt and Turkey.
That’s not the legacy that the Trump administration should want.
The living hostages are free. Vile satanic honiac pekkerheads hamazz are reassembling, rearming and are still well funded by the sinister deep state channels. Israel presumptively has their borders more secure and can detect an attack before it’s executed? With the hostages free, Israel can whomp down on hamazz with extreme prejudice and not stop until every last hamazz is dead!

Really, really unfortunately, neither 10/7, nor assassination attempts, nor hostage testimony of total Gazan complicity in their torture, has changed Trump’s first term plan-of-the-century mindset. His ‘interests’ is simply code for taking terror money.
A stunning lack of integrity and abundance of short-sightedness, and especially the total absence of understanding that righteousness, not unholy deals, will reap the greatest, richest rewards.
If the Israeli government allows this to go through, the IDF needs to take over in a coup. And kill all the judges
Trump is failing miserably on this front. As for this not being the legacy he should want, I fear he sees all of this through a different lens and absolutely feels it is the legacy he wants: the “peacemaker.”
As far as the MIddle East goes, he projects a mixture of ignorance about the nature of Islam, corruption as he has been seduced and duped by Islamic countries, narcisstic ego as he craves identification as a “peacemaker” (Oh, to be awarded the junky Nobel prize!), and perhaps idiots having his ear and influencing him in bad ways (cue Tucker Carlson and I would go so far as to say JD Vance, as well). And let’s no underestimate the history between the US and Israel where the US leverages, to varying degrees, enormous leverage treating Israel as a vassal state to be manipulated, intimidated, and bullied.
This is not what I voted for. It is utterly shameful, at best, and dangerous, at worst.
Meanwhile Vance is trying to adopt Mamdani’s populism. All in a day’s work and you can’t make this stuff up. Preposterous situation that big tent idiots get themselves into.
There’s only one word for this entire gaza hamas muslim “peace plan” fiasco: Clusterfuck. Even Trump has surrendered to the bane of the West, Magical Thinking Syndrome (MTS): Since we behave normally maybe muslims will behave normally. Next round. Next phase. Next finger wagging. Muslims will change if we just use the right incantation, the right fairy dust or pixie farts or New Age mumbo jumbo. Sacrifice a chicken and maybe hamas will surrender. Other than the release of the living hostages, nothing has changed! Why are those tunnels still there? Why are hamas terrorists still strutting around with machine guns? Why!?! I read a lot about sieges (such as Wellington’s sieges of French positions during the Peninsular War of the Napoleonic Period) and it seems to me that the so-called ceasefire was somewhat to Israel’s advantage, in converting a siege where it looked like the IDF was going to be forced to make a direct assault (which is generally very bloody) to a more normal siege behind the yellow line where Israel would take fewer casualties.

IDF is ready to do battle, so just anytime hamas is ready
The whole Trump plan is nothing more than Camp David accord 2.0. The entire purpose of it is to deny Israel a decisive victory over her Arab enemies. This tactic has been used against Israel since 1948. If Trump and the Jew Hating Europe wants long lasting peace they need to let Israel defeat Hamas once and for all.
At this point Israel can’t squander its victory just to fuel Trump’s ambition of Nobel peace price.
President Trump has said at least twice that if Hamas doesn’t comply with the terms of the agreement – which it hasn’t – he would support whatever the IDF does.
We all know how this is going to end. Eventually the IDF will exterminate Hamas.
