Zohran Mamdani announces his seizure of power over New York City in a formal ceremony promising to “replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism.”
The “warmth of collectivism” or perhaps, more aptly, the furnaces of collectivism, especially of the kind of movements that Mamdani is aligned with, claimed over 100 million lives from Russia to China to Latin America.
‘Rugged individualism’… a whole lot less.
New York City, the actual one, not the collective of Mamdani’s fellow radical trust fund hipsters and Indian Muslims that selected him, was a city of rugged individuals. Individualism, sometimes bizarre and eccentric, was the hallmark of New York City. That’s why you have quotes like “New York has more hermits than will be found in all the forests, mountains and deserts of the United States”. It’s what made walking down the street in the city interesting. Collectives aren’t interesting, they’re ominous. They strip away individualism leaving zombies who think and talk the same way, and who will attack you if you differ from them any way.
That’s what Communism or Islam do. Whether it’s the ‘Homo Sovieticus’ or Mamdani’s fellow Muslim mobs murdering non-Muslims in Bangladesh, that’s collectivism. There’s a reason that the current most talked about show, Pluribus, is about the struggle between the collective and the individual.
Mamdani announced that his regime will be about imposing the collective to stamp out the individual. But that’s what the Left is.
Rugged individualism is what built this country. Mamdani’s “warmth of collectivism” will put people at each other’s throats fighting to stay warm. His inaugural party was appalling with platitudes galore from AOC and Sanders, the former privileged yet denouncing privilege and the latter a millionaire denouncing the wealthy “elite.” The gimme gimme crowd in attendance cheered knowing naught what collectivism, let alone communism, is or hypocrisy for that matter.

When Mamdani took his oath of office in a sequestered, and very strange location, I immediately understood when he placed his hand atop the Quran. In doing so, he was/is silently attesting to adherence to Sharia law and not the laws of NYC or that of the US Constitution.
That we are at a point of such humiliation and calling it anything but what it is, should send violent shudders of survival down the backs of ALL Americans. As an Islamic coup, they have “taken” an iconic representation of our country, NYC as Islamic territory. Not according to our laws, according to theirs!

We have young Americans illiterate of not only America’s history but also that of global history. Children, rightfully dependent upon adults, has now advanced to that of legal adults demanding they be cared for by society. These are “adults” who have no character, taking their clues from anyone offering them succor from self responsibility.
That NYC would vote into office a person who sides with Islamist jihidi after what happened on 9/11 is the most egregious slap in the face to survivors and their families not to mention all of the individuals and the first responders who died saving others.
