Byron Black murdered a woman and her 2 daughters, ages 6 and 9, after having previously shot their father while he was out of prison on a work release program.
This was back in 1988. He was convicted in 1989.
Only now, is Tennessee finally going to put him down. But the media and the usual pro-crime crowd is worried that it might hurt too much because he’s got a defibrillator. (This was after they tried and failed to claim that Black was mentally ill and had a low IQ the way they do for every single death row inmate.)
Tennessee plans to execute inmate amid concerns his heart implant will shock him repeatedly – CNN
It took Latoya Clay, the six-year-old girl he murdered, ten minutes to die after he shot her. Lakeisha Clay tried to defend herself and took 30 minutes to die.
Latoya’s body was found partially on the bed and partially off the bed, wedged between the bed and a chest of drawers. She had been shot once through the neck and chest. Blood on her pillow and a bullet hole in the bedding indicated she had been lying on the bed when shot. Bullet fragments were recovered from her left lung.
The body of Lakeisha, age six, was found in the second bedroom lying facedown on the floor next to her bed. She had been shot twice, once in the chest, once in the pelvic area. Dr. Harlan testified that she had died from bleeding as a result of a gunshot wound to the chest. She was shot from a distance of six to twelve inches and died within five to thirty minutes after being shot. Abrasions on her arm indicated a bullet had grazed her as she sought to protect herself from the attacker. Bullet holes and blood stains on the bed indicated that she was lying in bed when shot and had moved from the bed to the floor after being shot. There were bloody finger marks down the rail running from the head of the bed to the foot of the bed.
I can debunk the defibrillator nonsense but frankly, Black had no problem shooting a 9-year-old girl in the chest and ‘pelvic area’ and then let her lie in her own blood in her own bed, struggling to survive for half an hour.
Whatever he experiences in this world, after living for another 36 years, and getting a defib installed at taxpayer expense, will be a fraction of her pain and suffering.
The only people who have a problem with it are the ones who sympathize with monsters.

So why is the Crumby News Network(CNN)so worried about some cold blooded Murderer being executed in the First Place what about his Victims? No one ever bothers to think about the Victims and their Families and they should have executed him sooner to save the Tax Payers a bundle
You say Latoya Clay was six. She must have been the nine year old. The srticle says Lakeisha was six. May the Al-mighty, and the state of Tennessee, avenge their blood.
“After previously sjooting their father while he was out of prison on a work release program.” While who was out of prison on a work release program?
The girls’ father.
Not an issue with me at all.
There’s more than one way to skin a cat.
There’s more than one way to flense a rat.
That’s a good idea. Skin Byron Black.
Stupid Liberal Bleeding-hearts light Candles for Convicted Killers and their Victims are Ignored
Three or four murders by 1988? There is no method of execution ever used in the US that would be painful enough.
What baffles me is why the government is so incompetent that they can’t figure out a painless method. When I had surgery they gave me something to breathe and in about a second I was out. When I woke up the surgery was over 🙂
When I woke up, the surgery was over, but I didn’t realize that. I was in what I found out later was the recovery room, screaming that I needed more anesthesia, and worrying that they would start to operate before I was unconcious. I asked a nurse when the operation would be performed and she said it already had been
That’s funny.
I got rid of the opioids I was given for my knee surgery because all those stupid warnings about them on the news made me afraid of them and I wasn’t in any pain anyway. That was before noon. At eight or nine that night I almost instantly started to feel agonizing pain. Standing sitting, no matter what position I took alleviated it. I was up all night writhing in pain and it didn’t go away until about 6:am, when I was scheduled to leave.
I’ll never throw medicine away again.
Yes, I had knee surgery the same way. They told me to count back from 100 but I didn’t get very far and don’t even remember passing out. I can’t even see the two pinhole scars now unless I get a suntan.
