[Order Michael Finch’s new book, A Time to Stand: HERE. Prof. Jason Hill calls it “an aesthetic and political tour de force.”]
Just over two weeks ago, Israel’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Danny Danon, vigorously defended Israel’s position in the UN Security Council as he took Pakistan to task. Danon stated that “Pakistan cannot change the fact that Al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden was sheltered and killed on its soil.” He continued:
When bin Laden was eliminated in Pakistan…the question asked was not “why target a terrorist on foreign soil”? No one asked that question. The question was, “Why was a terrorist given shelter at all?” The same question must be asked today. There was no immunity for bin Laden, and there can be no immunity for Hamas.
Now, in a personal call to Qatar during his visit to the White House, Netanyahu has apologized to Qatar. “Netanyahu dials Qatar PM from White House, apologises for Doha attack on Hamas leadership. Details inside,” by Gulshan Parveen, WION, September 29, 2025:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly apologised to his Qatari counterpart, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, for the Israeli strike in Qatar on September 9. As per a report, the Israeli PM talked to Al Thani via phone call for a few minutes from the White House after being welcomed by US President Donald Trump. He also promised that it would not be repeated.
The Channel 12 report said that Netanyahu apologised for violating Qatari sovereignty in the strike on Doha and expressed regret for the killing of a Qatari security guard in the attack….
It’s obviously no coincidence that Netanyahu’s dial-up to Qatar came from the White House. There was apparently pressure involved, but first let’s look at some of the ramifications for Israel of such an apology. It serves as a withdrawal of the justification by Israel for its strike on Hamas targets in Doha. It also undermines Danny Danon’s valid question to Pakistan about harboring jihad terrorists. Israel’s enemies will use Netanyahu’s apology to Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani as an open admission of wrongdoing by Israel, which does not bode well for the Jewish state. It carries far-reaching implications regarding confidence in Israel’s actions in a world in which anti-Israel forces are dominant. It also reinforces the claims of antisemitic Westerners who view Israel as a state which violates international law, commits genocide, and illegally occupies Palestinian territory.
Apologizing to a terrorist-sponsoring regime such as Qatar is a humiliation to the Jewish state in front of every terrorist-sponsoring state and jihadist group. Meanwhile, “Coalition ministers and opposition MKs slammed” Netanyahu for apologizing to Qatar, “calling it weak and a disgrace.”
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated that “The strike on senior Hamas officials, the masterminds of the October 7 massacre, in the enemy state of Qatar was an important, just, and profoundly moral strike.
“It is very good that it happened. Whoever sends monsters to burn babies, rape women, and abduct elderly women must know that there is no place in the world that is safe for them.”
In the wake of Netanyahu’s apology, President Trump has unveiled his own Gaza peace plan to bring an end to the Gaza war. The “20-point plan for ending the Israel-Hamas war and establishing a postwar governance in the war-battered Palestinian territory. Trump’s plan would establish a temporary governing board that would be headed by Trump and include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.”
Perhaps President Trump is also trying to unite the MAGA camp, given the misguided part of it that rejects Israel as an important part of an America First policy, even though Israel is on the front lines of the global jihad.

I have no doubt that President Trump demanded that Netanyahu apologize to his bodies the Qataris! Netanyahu caved in for the sake of freeing the hostages.
Countries that host terrorists must understand that there are consequences! Qatar not only hosting the terrorists but are the mastermind of October 7 and 9::11 funding the Taliban and Al Qaida , Hamas etc. They are the notorious terrorists Muslim Brotherhood! What is wrong with President Trump common sense?
Maybe both Trump and Netanyahu are aware that Hamas will reject the plan and in doing so Israel might gain a win the PR war in the west, a war which Hamas has been winning since Oct. 7. Who knows?
Israel winning a PR war is a fallacy. A lot of people hate Jews and the numbers in that cohort seem to be growing. When you hate, it doesn’t matter what the object of your hate says or does. The conclusion will always be the same.
The potential PR win of this if Hamas reject it is not with the “red-green public” but within the political sphere given the plan has the approval of all the major sunni Arab players in the region.
I agree that with the nefarious influence of the MB and muslim mass immigration into the west, anti-israel and anti-semitic factions will never be placated….even if the Tony Blair/Trump peace deal is in place.
He seems either reluctant to acknowledge the true tenants of Islam and the requirements of those who are Muslims or he is negligent in becoming knowledgeable about them and the edicts they have for duplicity in dealing with infidels. Trump may fashion himself as other than an infidel by placing his business acumen as his virtuous calling card but that only telegraphs to these Islamists his blindness of them which they are using in humiliating both Netanyahu and Israel. Trump has cost so much more than he understands and for me as a Jew…his is a betrayal will never be forgotten.
And Israel needs to purge, without mercy, the leftist rot in the country or this is just the beginning of the Middle East aligning to rid the world of Israel and the Jewish people.
Trump values loyalty, but his conciliation to barbarians is a disloyalty everyone should question.
Abject humiliation. And that was the intention. We continue to placate Qatar and now we’re using Netanyahu as part of this disasterous approach.
In an earlier precedent, Obama pressured Netanyahu to apologize to Turkey’s Erdogan for the deaths of Turkish activists seeking to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza. Trump seems to have the same blind spots for Turkey and Qatar, despite their support for Hamas and alignment with the Muslim Brotherhood.
I think it’s more than a blind spot. I think it’s as commentator Gabrielle said. I think the problem with Trump as it seems just about all of our elected officials from top to bottom, is ignorance, lack of curiousity to learn, lack of urgency to understand, lack of will, and so on. We are so far behind the curve it’s terrifying. How is it possible that many ordinary Americans have taken it upon themselves to learn about the threat of Islam that has been raging for 1500 years, and yet those with the most power are so easily duped and so mired in ignorance and/or denial. It’s shocking how this problem persists despite so much evidence that should awaken any thinking human being.
“President Trump has unveiled his own Gaza peace plan”
A plan that calls for the creation of a transitional government headed by globalist former UK PM Tony Blair…..the same Tony Blair responsible for taking Britain into the Iraq war. A war based on the deliberately false premise of those infamous WMD’s that never materialized. How did that war turn out for the Middle East, and Europe for that matter?? The same Tony Blair who was made a “special peace envoy” to the Middle East until 2015. How did that “peace” turn out?? Anyone interested to find out more about the nefarious Tony Blair should look into the globalist spiders web of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change,
Christine, obviously the Qataris have more money than they know what to do with at home so they have no problem buying people throughout the world. Whether it’s universities, politician’s, medical professionals, seems people are waiting in line with their hands open to receive Qatari money. When are we going to have someone tell us all what and how the Qatari government is doing with its money before we have a October 7th in America?
Wonder if this will make Tucker happy.
well one wonders what the hell trump threatened him with. I find myself feeling sympathy for Netanyahu who I believe is a very difficult man himself. I can only imagine trump was furious he was not consulted before attack. seems awfully humiliating to me.
NO, he did not “apologize for for sticking Qatar”. He apologized ONLY for inadvertently killing a Qatari citizen while attacking Hamas.
Please don’t repeat the lies we’ve come to expect from mainstream media
What are the Ramallahfications indeed. snort °°
Somehow, since 9/11 and 7/7, the world seems to have forgotten the root of the same problem we all have; Islam.
I love my president, but he’s starting to make me wonder – has HE forgotten??
In every mass casualty scenario, all over the world, there is one common thread. It’s not going to get better and we can’t continue to allow them to flood our countries. Look how Islam has destroyed every country they begin mass migrating to…does anyone in their right mind believe that’s just a coincidence??
When’s the last time there were any mass shootings in a mosque, or when did anyone blow up or burn down a mosque or anything in the muslim communities that are rapidly growing all over the civilized world??
Did you catch that word “civilized”? Well, that’s the reason they’re invading our countries; we’re too civilized to stop them; too humane to see the REAL reason why they’re coming. There are no tragedies in their countries that they didn’t bring about in the first place; no uprisings, no dictatorial governments running them out…yet they come to OUR countries and do that to US…
And we’re allowing it…
The problem is Islam; end it, ban it, and destroy it forever!
As for apologies?? Not just “no”, but HELL no!
Eradicate Hamas whatever hole those cockroaches try to hide in!
Another gang of butchering islamic psychopaths will just spring up to join the dozens of others that are infesting the world. It’s islam that has to be eradicated, not just Hamarse.
