New York’s failure to honor ICE detainers has resulted in the release of 6,947 criminal illegal aliens since January 20. The crimes of these aliens include 29 homicides, 2,509 assaults, 199 burglaries, 305 robberies, 392 dangerous drugs offenses, 300 weapons offenses, and 207 sexual predatory offenses.
There are currently 7,113 aliens in the custody of a New York jurisdiction with an active detainer. The crimes of these aliens include 148 homicides, 717 assaults, 134 burglaries, 106 robberies, 235 dangerous drugs offenses, 152 weapons offenses, and 260 sexual predatory offenses.
They include such solid citizens as Selman Cevik.
Local authorities arrested Selman Cevik, a criminal illegal alien from Turkey on September 8, 2025, for menacing in the first degree and harassment in the first degree. Cevik is identified as a Known or Suspected Terrorist (KST), with notifications made to the Terrorist Screening Center. Despite an ICE detainer lodged against him, local authorities released Cevik. On September 13, 2025, ICE New York arrested Cevik and he remains detained by ICE, pending immigration proceedings.
But when have Islamic terrorists ever harmed New Yorkers?
At least ICE is doing the work that New York’s woke pols won’t.
The number of arrests by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York City in just six months under President Donald Trump’s administration eclipsed the total in the entirety of 2024, according to data reviewed and analyzed by NY1.
While he was a candidate, Trump promised the largest deportation effort in history. Immigration was front and center in the 2024 presidential campaign.

The nefariousness of the democrat party has no bounds; no levels to which they won’t stoop to. I imagine that sometimes, even the devil looks upon the democrat party with an incredulous stare!
The simplest way to deal with illegal immigration would have been, decades ago, to have law enforcement turn them over to ICE after they had been arrested for something else.

Police not arresting criminals,
up to $1000 shoplifting allowed,
Persistent and still-accelerating levels of inventory loss
National Guard having to patrol due to crime.
But they go after Trump because he is a rich white man. You white people better wake up.
The cogent question is: have Americans had enough yet? For now, the answer is no. That’s unfortunate but it is what it is.
So buckle up because things are going to get a lot worse and necessarily so. Real change only comes when the vagaries of reality assaults people and forces them out of their comfort zone. That hasn’t happened yet to enough people to make a real difference.

New York basically says, “Screw the citizens,” by releasing these criminals on society. The politicians, judges and state employees responsible for this should all be charged with crimes against the state.
