The best way to approach the media at this point in time is by treating it like a congenital liar or a Nigerian scammer, an utterly soulless source of narratives untethered from anything except its political agenda. That’s to say it lies. Always.
Without shame, regret or any kind of reality checks.
How the Right Shaped the Debate Over the Sydney Sweeney Ads – Right-wing commentators suggested there was widespread criticism of Ms. Sweeney over her new ad campaign. There wasn’t, at least at first. – NYT Aug 7th
There’s enough hedging in that headline to make a nice maze. The New York Times itself ran an article a week ago claiming denouncing Sweeney as “controversial” which is media-speak for “we don’t like it, but we can’t quite spell it out in a way our readership will go along with.”
The latter arrived a week ago in the form of an American Eagle campaign for jeans that makes a pun on the notion that Ms. Sweeney won the genetic lottery. The ad, which quickly took off online, set off controversy when some social media users felt it veered uncomfortably close to promotion of eugenics and the glorification of whiteness. It has also been decried for its sexually suggestive nature and for catering to the “male gaze.”
Again, more weasel words in which the NYT columnist expresses her opinion while attributing it to others, and then the paper denies it or its media cohort ever said what everyone saw them say.
“In reality, most progressives weren’t worked up much at all,” the paper claims. “Criticism of the ad campaign had come almost entirely from a smattering of accounts with relatively few followers, according to an analysis of social media data by The New York Times.”
Umm would that include the New York Times? Or the Washington Post?
How American Eagle’s Sydney Sweeney ‘good jeans’ ad went wrong – WaPo
Or USA Today?
Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle jeans ad sparks controversy – USA Today
The same media that was amplifying those voices to manufacture the controversy now blames the ‘right-wing’ for the controversy.
They lie, then they lie some more and then they lie even more.

The loony Democrats, if they told the truth, they would think that they were lying.
Next the NYT will claim it hasn’t been trying to gin up a fake Epstain controversy.
Nobody sane cares if some unknown actress advertises some women’s jeans to women – not a “male gaze” – and even less people care about a long dead pervert.
Some comedian said women don’t dress to impress men, they dress to impress other women. If they were dressing to impress men, they’d go naked.
I think that was Jim Jeffries from Australia. He’s hilarious.
Treat them like Nigerian Scammers. That’s a good idea.
“Orange Man Bad” has been the stale argument of PMS liberals for a decade.
Now the hottie, Sydney can join the color mosaic.
Introducing “Blue Jean Woman Bad”
I’ve always maintained that racism not only exists in liberal ranks, but flourishes.
The DNC that brought us the KKK & beloved Klansman, Robert Byrd, has signed off on hating white skin – their new approved racism.
B. Hussein insists that if one is white, racism is in their DNA – which means he believes a certain race is bad (White man bad!)
Hence, it explains a major component over hating that evil white woman, Sydney.
The fact that she’s MAGA & confident in her middle-America upbringing, only makes chickenshit leftists rage even more.
BTW: “eugenics” was fully embraced by Margaret Sanger, leftist icon, hero, & founder of Planned Parenthood. (Her “plan for peace” wasn’t exactly black friendly.)
Bareback Hasbeen Osama is half white and 100% racist retard.
Hitler admired the D-Bag party because of eugenics. He was also a socialist, which the D-Bags are trying to push on the public. Not on themselves, of course.
The New York Slimes is still printing False News and Fake Headlines in its Daily Rag there is not ending to it all
I like comparing the main sleaze media globalist puppets on deep state payroll to Nigerian Scams is perfect allegory!

Looks like the vox populi isn’t buying the fake and hypocritical backlash – conversely, they are hitting back by purchasing AE jeans –
You think other corporations would get the hint – Go woke – Go broke
Because of the unhinged hatred in response to Sweeney’s ad I support American Eagle now, even though that clothing store sucks. When my ex wife would drag me into the one in Omahell, I noticed that the clerk chicks thought anybody 30 or older didn’t belong there, which is funny because my ex wife was smoking hot and none of them were. Their products suck too. I never bought her anything from there. Banana Republic and Victoria’s Secret, yeah.
Other than an example in high school of how to make up a page in a newspaper, the New York Times has, for more than six decades, served me only as a litmus test for reportage. If the Times prints a story on an event, it is safe to assume that things did not happen a the Times reports, and that reaction to the occurrence was opposite to the slant taken in the Time coverage. The same is true of the Langley Daily Bugle, AKA the Washington Post.
It baffles me that official Washington and commercial New York read these rags and gives them credence. They serve only as a window into the groupthink of a group whose grasp on the levers of power in the nation must, for the sake of our republic and its citizens, be broken.
The Daily Bugle? Isn’t that J. Jonah Jameson’s newspaper?
Now that it turns out that American Eagle planned the second phase of the ad campaign 8 months previous, in which other more diverse models are included, it’s almost as if AE planned to “own” the left all along…..
Good but non whites are hardly more diverse than whites. They’re less so. All of them have black hair and brown eyes…….unless they’re part white.
Their left’s PC pearl clutching backfired, so now they claim it’s only a big deal because the right made it one. Pathetic, lol. Sweeney and American Eagle are laughing all the way to the bank, after playing the left like a Strat.
My favorite part was the left decrying eugenics. Abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide are eugenics, and the reason the left most often gives for abortion after rape, is birth defects. The left excoriated Sarah Palin for having her downs baby. In some countries it’s just for the ‘crime’ of being a girl. We know them for who they are.
“Abortion, euthanasia, and assisted suicide are eugenics, and the reason the left most often gives for abortion after rape, is birth defects.”
Daniel, thanks for the reminder of the continual bad journalism from the New York Times .as you would know with your vast knowledge of history the despicable coverup of Hitler and his ungodly treatment of the Jews, a most unforgivable deceit in journalism.
Also, the mor of worst journalist of the century that being Walter Duranty working for the times . to maintain his access to Stalin, could consistently be counted on to portray the regime sympathetically. he claimed that “there is no famine or actual starvation nor is there likely to be.”., with death everywhere in Ukraine, Duranty reported: “The ‘famine’ is Bunk .
Malcolm Muggeridge, a British journalist who attempted to report the truth about the grisly events unfolding in Ukraine, later described Duranty as “the greatest liar of any journalist I have met in fifty years of journalism.” Muggeridge chose his words carefully. .Duranty even won the Pulitzer Prize for his reporting from Russia .
Previous to that the New York Times was a big advocate of fascist Mussolini up until 1930 considering him a brilliant world leader. . So much was written and can be found on the Internet of their glowing admiration for the dictator..
And yet they still are the leader and source for all other major news agencies.
I wouldn’t wrap my fish in the New York Times.
