Former President Obama criticized President Trump for deploying the National Guard to cities around the country, slamming what he called a “politicization of the military.”
“It wasn’t controversial for me to go to other countries and say, ‘You know what? It’s a good idea for militaries to be under civilian control,’ because when you have military that can direct force against their own people, that is inherently corrupting,” Obama said about his time in office in an interview on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast released Monday.
“That is a genuine effort to weaken how we have understood democracy,” Obama said.
How “we have understood democracy”. By “we”, Obama as usual means “Me”. Like “We are the ones we have been waiting for.”
Speaking of “directing force”, Obama had a man arrested for criticizing Islam. He repeatedly employed the DOJ to support BLM riots while undermining local governance. His abuses of federal forces became legendary.
