Oscar Winners of the World Unite

The Academy Awards which of late had crawled up their own politically correct rabbit hole had a shot at relevance. Movies that people outside NY and LA were actually up for awards. So of course the Oscars let their freak flag fly instead.

Forget Joaquin Phoenix delivering an unhinged rant against milk. It's impossible to even know if he's in character when pulling these stunts. Brad Pitt's lame shot at President Trump was more revealing. Not the pettiness of it, but his attempt at sounding informed.

And yet the real winner was Oscar Winners of the World Unite.

“The Communist Manifesto” got a shoutout during the 2020 Oscars.

Julia Reichert, the co-director of best documentary winner “American Factory,” which was produced by former President Barack Obama’s new film company, apparently quoted from Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels’ infamous book during her acceptance speech on Sunday night.

“Working people have it harder and harder these days — and we believe that things will get better when workers of the world unite,” Reichert said.

And who better to deliver that shout out to the working class than someone who gets paid a fortune to make propaganda.

It reminds me of the Communist speakers who would deliver addresses to the "workers and peasants" in New York City's Union Square.

Oscar winners of the world unite. You have nothing to lose but your awards, limos and gift bags.
