President Trump Suspends Immigration Into the US

With mass unemployment due to the Wuhan Virus likely to be deepened further, even if the country reopens, by retail bankruptcies, President Trump announced that he's taking the key step of signing an executive order that will temporarily suspend immigration.

"In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!" President Trump tweeted.

The Wuhan Virus certainly spread through international travel. And the arrival of foreign migrants risks introducing it further.

But, most significantly, suspending immigration can help protect a post-pandemic economic recovery. As it is too many American jobs are going to cheap foreign labor. Visa processing was already slowed down by the Wuhan Virus. This will be the next step.

This move will help protect Americans and the recovery.
